If I had to guess, it was this Lange bit that convinced Joe Buck he needed to lighten up a bit.okaydo said:bearister said:
This a horrific takedown of Buck by a very stoned Artie Lange. I think Buck is a top broadcaster but he fails to wrap it in humility like Jim Nantz does.
Regardless, I don't approve of what Artie did…..but it was epic:
That show is 13 years old. Joe Buck has changed quite a bit since then.
(Also, Artie was really drugged out at this point in his life and was fired from the Howard Stern Show months later.)
New from JSOnline and PackersNews: Aaron Rodgers grew up rooting for the 49ers, a team he has never beaten in the playoffs https://t.co/vKB3YFXTNF #Packers

Yes, but the Niners played AR's Packers three of those four years they made the playoffs and beat them every time.B.A. Bearacus said:
Extremely hard to beat a team in the playoffs when the other team isn't in the playoffs. AR has never beaten the Lions in the playoffs either.
Fair enough, but the author's choice of words just makes it seem like it's a noteworthy string of futility (like we had with SC for a while). AR is 6-6 lifetime versus the Niners, with three of those L's coming in the playoffs. AR has to win another SB against any team to shore up his legacy -- nothing short of that. Records against individual teams are secondary and not part of the legacy we know he cares about. It's been a long, long time since he cared about the Niners.sycasey said:

Hope he's too quirky to land a head coaching gig so he can just be with the Niners and Shanahan forever and find happiness in the Bay Area. Though I'm sure he can play the role and be at least as normal as Belichick (in today's interview he said the Niner pr people, upon getting here, just told him to be himself, which he appreciated). Doesn't seem like his salary is publicly available, but whatever it is make that number bigger right now.okaydo said:"WHO?! Mike Jones!" pic.twitter.com/rNCzlBTLQA

Bearister, please keep it respectful -- only wives of coaches who are still in the playoffs.

McVay hasn't married his girlfriend after 11(!) years. I predict they'll never get married and he'll dump her for somebody more "age appropriate" for him -- somebody who's at least a decade to a decade and a half younger.

Which of those three would you least like to win the SB this year? Trying to understand the depths of your dislike of a certain alum.
Aaron Rodgers has gotten a lot of joy this season out of being his “unapologetic self.” I wanted to know if he’d talk about what that meant, so I sent him an email. On the eve of the playoffs, it turns out, he did want to talk, so I mostly listened. https://t.co/7GPFmxEpnF
