You have to add to this discussion that the game was on ESPN, prime time on the West Coast. That's significant. Streaming only options for Texas Southern, and then CBS Sports Network for SD St. will make for a lot less eyeballs. If that was part of the "deal" for the conference to pressure Cal, then, in addition to the win, that exposure has value.

All good. You know I've been saying I would be the best coach for our Baseball program for years, and you might recall I said I didn't play for Cal.
I played in an "adult" baseball league until I was 54 years old, so when I wear the Cal uniform as a coach, yes it means I could theoretically play in an emergency.
But one of the reasons I would be the best coach for Cal is I care about Cal in a way Mike Neu never could, plus as I've stated in other posts on the Baseball board, I would insist on our program being elite.
So you're right I couldn't be worse than a non-Cal-man who failed years ago (why is he still here?), but I am ready to interview to argue why I am the best candidate to take us to the elites, before I recruit my successor who would continue the legacy ....
I know it's never going to happen, and there's no way I will ever be able to prove what I claim I would do for Cal Baseball, but I'm glad to know you at least believe there's no way I could be worse then Mike Neu, who has never done anything to suggest he could succeed as a coach ....
