I hope EastCoastCal had a chance to storm the farm field. I miss his contributions.
51, all future football games require the athletic director's signature...right now knowlton got contracts for games with osu & wsu sitting on his desk awaiting his signature (which he initially indicated he would sign when those 2 schools dropped their lawsuits with the departing conference schools) but as a result of this thread he's getting a lotta pressure not to sign/execute those contracts...in the con artist's recent zoom call with the acc comish he wuz encouraged to schedule a mid season game against a mid major to ensure as many acc programs as possible to become bowl eligible in 2024sonofabear51 said:
Shocky, what role/impact will knowlton have on scheduling fucla next year? I say no way, same goes for osu & WSU.
Also, in the $c/fucla game, J Mike seemed to be ignored. They went repeatedly to Late, among others.
Thoughts?
burnski, shocky included coastie in his pre game on the field shenanigans earlier this season at memorial stadium which included doing the hang in the tunnel with the players right before they storm the field, the atmosphere is ******* electric with benji palu & jaydn ott holding the boom box & guys getting amped/dancing to hardcore rap music...also visited with coastie in the student section at haas pavilion at the pacific game, the new yorker is doing well academically as a double major with a rigorous academic workload & does not post at this site anymore because he felt disrespected on the premium board...tole coastie he wuz always welcome to post on the monster thread & he tole me that he & his friends still read (and laugh) the monster which is intended to inclusively welcome everyone on planet earthKenBurnski said:

gbi, major monster oversite, will repost with ramsey who i visited with on the field after the 2022 big game...trent is an intense young man with a high upside unlike his then teammate jackson brown (transferred to pittsburgh) who didn't wanna be pushedGoldenBear1 said:
Any update on OL Trent Ramsey and where he stacks up when looking to 2024?

so how is 2024 shaping up for cal's monster offensive line?
with kalolo ta'aga silently committing on his official visit to arizona this weekend, the 2024 high class might include only future starter 3.8 gpa tyler knape who is gonna be a fan favorite with his non stop motor...but he's only 275 lbs right now, he's realistically gonna blueshirt next fall to get to 300+ lbs & then compete for playing time in 2025 spring ball
regarding high school recruiting the bears wuz at a disadvantage this cycle as coach bloesch is not well known outside of texas, he hasn't put a bunch guys into the nfl like oregon state's coach m or washington's coach scott huff but mark my words that's gonna happen in berkeley if bloesch decides that the left coast for the conservative coach (when stormin' the field last nite i ran by mike and yelled "cal's monster offensive line, baby!!!" which resulted in a kinda "can you believe this crazy guy" look from him) is gonna be a forever home for him & his family
the staff's #1 priority when the transfer portal reopens on december 4th is gonna be cal's monster offensive line
the challenge right now from a roster management perspective is that this season the bears only had 15 scholly trench workers because of poor recruiting with both angus & the semi-retired greatwood who wuz more interested in calling his grandkids in bend on his flip phone than prospects, that number needs to be rightsized to 16 because of the necessary maturation period at this position
so what's the status of the current 15 schollys?
the most remarkable player in the program cindo is out of eligibility as is starting right tackle barrett miller
starting left tackle tj session gotta decision to make as does center brian driscoll whose dad tole me he's gona take the lsat this spring & may attend law school next fall depending upon the admissions process...he also tole me that brian will either play for the bears in 2024 or retire from football/go to law school, driscoll will NOT enter the portal & play for someone other than his 50 year brothers
right guard sioape vatikani (4.0 gpa in high school) got arguably more nfl upside than anybody in the program & is expected to return next season but won't reach his full potential until he stops taking plays off & plays with a nfl non stop motor...sioape had a couple of physical as **** crashing blocks last nite against the cards, his best football is all in front of him including ucla next weekend
now finally healthy for the 1st time during his time in berkeley, bastian swinney got a well deserved start in the big game at right guard, he's a lock to start in 2024 as is developing texas a&m transfer matthew wykoff whose play this season wuz uneven but still a huge upgrade over the production of the 2022 players
6'5" 295 lbs trent ramsey is also expected to return & make a move this spring...the strong student is a logan paul lookalike & got the nasty azz edge that is necessary to play in coach bloesch's system
graduating seniors brayden rohme, everrett johnson & ender aguilar all got decisions to make, do they wanna use their final year of eligibility in berkeley or move on to life after football or perhaps even enter the grad transfer portal?...if they enter the portal, wut's their market value?
and then there's the 3 studly huge upside blueshirt lineman who my conversations with them last nite are detailed in this thread in martin tine, nick morrow & frederick williams iii...very excited to see wut they bring to the field during 2024 spring ball, all 3 tole me that they primarily view themselves as tackles but open to playing any position on offensive line to help the team
an inspiring story of perseverance in the face of tragedy (the unexpected death of his father) center dylan jemegaard got one more year of academic work to earn a brutally academically challenging berkeley engineering degree...dylan is respected by everyone in the program & his degree from the #1 ranked public university in the world is gonna be a financial lifesaver in helping his large family back in seattle
nobody outside of the coaching staff has watched/closely studied the offensive line more intensely than the monster & that's not gonna change heading into the 2024 spring ball & fall season...these are some amazing young men & each with a unique background story
cal's monster offensive line (is a work in process)#

will knowlton listen to the acc comish?
if a mid major is scheduled for the critical 4th occ game & considering new mexico state just beat auburn in the deep south, the california golden bear football program will have a legit opportunity to be 4-0 in occ play during 2024 which means then we would need only a couple of acc wins to be bowling in our inaugural 2024 season
the 4th occ opponent is gonna impact the future trajectory of the cal football program
ur right j mike is being ignored (which is being compounded by his not running disciplined routes), he got only 28 receptions heading into the game with his old teammates, he & his dad r not happy campers
alky, as an attorney would u plz clarify very specifically wut part of the above information is "made up" by shocky?Shocky1 said:
update re: yesterday's zoom call between knowlton & the acc commish
the acc commish is encouraging cal to play more west coast teams in non conference play particularly mid majors during the middle of acc conference play
the commish fully understands (unlike the con artist) the importance of the sec football scheduling model of a-c-c-d games to ensure bowl eligibility
right now the bears for 2024 got an "a" game at auburn, a "b" game hosting san diego state & a "d" game hosting uc davis
it's absolutely critical that in cal's inaugural 2024 season in the acc that bowl eligibility is achieved from both a recruiting & fan base energy standpoint...there's gonna be another round of conference realignment in the future & if the bears aren't a perennial bowl team we're gonna be left behind, the mountain west is a death blow...reality is that cal is the acc because of the lobbying efforts of stanford's condeleezza rice & notre dame's jack swarbrick, it got nothing to do with jim or carol who wuz sitting on the sidelines with their hands in their pockets eating popcorn
so that's why not signing the oregon state and/or washington state future football game contracts that are sitting on knowlton's desk awaiting his signature should never be executed, the con artist is awaiting both schools dropping their lawsuits against the departing pac 12 schools
oregon state is a nationally ranked team that could mean cal is not bowl eligible in 2024, the bears got zero recruits from oregon in the current high school class & the fan base got zero interest in traveling to a drizzly azz truck stop town like corvallis anymore
the bears will be playing the irish in the future but not until the current notre dame/stanford series is done in 2025 & the nd tv deal with nbc is finalized...right now it's looking like 3 to 5 games during the next 12 years
the acc comish is working to replace the big 10 in the rose bowl, he's already got deals in place with the holiday bowl & the la bowl (which would be a huge boost for cal recruiting in so cal with usc & ucla games never happening again) for acc teams
not surprisingly at the end of the zoom, knowlton made a cheap shot comment about larry & george as pac 12 commishs which is ironically disingenuous coming from the worst/least qualified athletic director in the nation who plays dodgeball with every interview request
yeah the con artist is continuing his degradation of cal revenue sports, the 4th out of conference game for 2024 is absolutely critical with respects to the upward trajectory of the cal football program...he's made in clear he's not gonna cut any sports or reduce any of his massive infrastructure of worthless bureaucrats like himself & markeisha, financial comprehension/responsibility is not in his tool kit
only a dumb **** would schedule oregon state for 2024 (or extend mark fox's contract)

I liked Sekona a lot coming out of HS. But he has never developed and played very little at USC. And it is not like USC is a defensive powerhouse. I know the program will be losing a couple of DL but this player would be down my list of portal hopefuls at DL.Shocky1 said:
