Shocky, what role/impact will knowlton have on scheduling fucla next year? I say no way, same goes for osu & WSU.
Also, in the $c/fucla game, J Mike seemed to be ignored. They went repeatedly to Late, among others.

Thoughts?
51, all future football games require the athletic director's signature...right now knowlton got contracts for games with osu & wsu sitting on his desk awaiting his signature (which he initially indicated he would sign when those 2 schools dropped their lawsuits with the departing conference schools) but as a result of this thread he's getting a lotta pressure not to sign/execute those contracts...in the con artist's recent zoom call with the acc comish he wuz encouraged to schedule a mid season game against a mid major to ensure as many acc programs as possible to become bowl eligible in 2024

will knowlton listen to the acc comish?

if a mid major is scheduled for the critical 4th occ game & considering new mexico state just beat auburn in the deep south, the california golden bear football program will have a legit opportunity to be 4-0 in occ play during 2024 which means then we would need only a couple of acc wins to be bowling in our inaugural 2024 season

the 4th occ opponent is gonna impact the future trajectory of the cal football program

ur right j mike is being ignored (which is being compounded by his not running disciplined routes), he got only 28 receptions heading into the game with his old teammates, he & his dad r not happy campers

burnski, shocky included coastie in his pre game on the field shenanigans earlier this season at memorial stadium which included doing the hang in the tunnel with the players right before they storm the field, the atmosphere is ******* electric with benji palu & jaydn ott holding the boom box & guys getting amped/dancing to hardcore rap music...also visited with coastie in the student section at haas pavilion at the pacific game, the new yorker is doing well academically as a double major with a rigorous academic workload & does not post at this site anymore because he felt disrespected on the premium board...tole coastie he wuz always welcome to post on the monster thread & he tole me that he & his friends still read (and laugh) the monster which is intended to inclusively welcome everyone on planet earth

gbi, major monster oversite, will repost with ramsey who i visited with on the field after the 2022 big game...trent is an intense young man with a high upside unlike his then teammate jackson brown (transferred to pittsburgh) who didn't wanna be pushed

so how is 2024 shaping up for cal's monster offensive line?

with kalolo ta'aga silently committing on his official visit to arizona this weekend, the 2024 high class might include only future starter 3.8 gpa tyler knape who is gonna be a fan favorite with his non stop motor...but he's only 275 lbs right now, he's realistically gonna blueshirt next fall to get to 300+ lbs & then compete for playing time in 2025 spring ball

regarding high school recruiting the bears wuz at a disadvantage this cycle as coach bloesch is not well known outside of texas, he hasn't put a bunch guys into the nfl like oregon state's coach m or washington's coach scott huff but mark my words that's gonna happen in berkeley if bloesch decides that the left coast for the conservative coach (when stormin' the field last nite i ran by mike and yelled "cal's monster offensive line, baby!!!" which resulted in a kinda "can you believe this crazy guy" look from him) is gonna be a forever home for him & his family

the staff's #1 priority when the transfer portal reopens on december 4th is gonna be cal's monster offensive line

the challenge right now from a roster management perspective is that this season the bears only had 15 scholly trench workers because of poor recruiting with both angus & the semi-retired greatwood who wuz more interested in calling his grandkids in bend on his flip phone than prospects, that number needs to be rightsized to 16 because of the necessary maturation period at this position

so what's the status of the current 15 schollys?

the most remarkable player in the program cindo is out of eligibility as is starting right tackle barrett miller

starting left tackle tj session gotta decision to make as does center brian driscoll whose dad tole me he's gona take the lsat this spring & may attend law school next fall depending upon the admissions process...he also tole me that brian will either play for the bears in 2024 or retire from football/go to law school, driscoll will NOT enter the portal & play for someone other than his 50 year brothers

right guard sioape vatikani (4.0 gpa in high school) got arguably more nfl upside than anybody in the program & is expected to return next season but won't reach his full potential until he stops taking plays off & plays with a nfl non stop motor...sioape had a couple of physical as **** crashing blocks last nite against the cards, his best football is all in front of him including ucla next weekend

now finally healthy for the 1st time during his time in berkeley, bastian swinney got a well deserved start in the big game at right guard, he's a lock to start in 2024 as is developing texas a&m transfer matthew wykoff whose play this season wuz uneven but still a huge upgrade over the production of the 2022 players

6'5" 295 lbs trent ramsey is also expected to return & make a move this spring...the strong student is a logan paul lookalike & got the nasty azz edge that is necessary to play in coach bloesch's system

graduating seniors brayden rohme, everrett johnson & ender aguilar all got decisions to make, do they wanna use their final year of eligibility in berkeley or move on to life after football or perhaps even enter the grad transfer portal?...if they enter the portal, wut's their market value?

and then there's the 3 studly huge upside blueshirt lineman who my conversations with them last nite are detailed in this thread in martin tine, nick morrow & frederick williams iii...very excited to see wut they bring to the field during 2024 spring ball, all 3 tole me that they primarily view themselves as tackles but open to playing any position on offensive line to help the team

an inspiring story of perseverance in the face of tragedy (the unexpected death of his father) center dylan jemegaard got one more year of academic work to earn a brutally academically challenging berkeley engineering degree...dylan is respected by everyone in the program & his degree from the #1 ranked public university in the world is gonna be a financial lifesaver in helping his large family back in seattle

nobody outside of the coaching staff has watched/closely studied the offensive line more intensely than the monster & that's not gonna change heading into the 2024 spring ball & fall season...these are some amazing young men & each with a unique background story

cal's monster offensive line (is a work in process)#

update re: yesterday's zoom call between knowlton & the acc commish

the acc commish is encouraging cal to play more west coast teams in non conference play particularly mid majors during the middle of acc conference play

the commish fully understands (unlike the con artist) the importance of the sec football scheduling model of a-c-c-d games to ensure bowl eligibility

right now the bears for 2024 got an "a" game at auburn, a "b" game hosting san diego state & a "d" game hosting uc davis

it's absolutely critical that in cal's inaugural 2024 season in the acc that bowl eligibility is achieved from both a recruiting & fan base energy standpoint...there's gonna be another round of conference realignment in the future & if the bears aren't a perennial bowl team we're gonna be left behind, the mountain west is a death blow...reality is that cal is the acc because of the lobbying efforts of stanford's condeleezza rice & notre dame's jack swarbrick, it got nothing to do with jim or carol who wuz sitting on the sidelines with their hands in their pockets eating popcorn

so that's why not signing the oregon state and/or washington state future football game contracts that are sitting on knowlton's desk awaiting his signature should never be executed, the con artist is awaiting both schools dropping their lawsuits against the departing pac 12 schools

oregon state is a nationally ranked team that could mean cal is not bowl eligible in 2024, the bears got zero recruits from oregon in the current high school class & the fan base got zero interest in traveling to a drizzly azz truck stop town like corvallis anymore

the bears will be playing the irish in the future but not until the current notre dame/stanford series is done in 2025 & the nd tv deal with nbc is finalized...right now it's looking like 3 to 5 games during the next 12 years

the acc comish is working to replace the big 10 in the rose bowl, he's already got deals in place with the holiday bowl & the la bowl (which would be a huge boost for cal recruiting in so cal with usc & ucla games never happening again) for acc teams

not surprisingly at the end of the zoom, knowlton made a cheap shot comment about larry & george as pac 12 commishs which is ironically disingenuous coming from the worst/least qualified athletic director in the nation who plays dodgeball with every interview request

yeah the con artist is continuing his degradation of cal revenue sports, the 4th out of conference game for 2024 is absolutely critical with respects to the upward trajectory of the cal football program...he's made in clear he's not gonna cut any sports or reduce any of his massive infrastructure of worthless bureaucrats like himself & markeisha, financial comprehension/responsibility is not in his tool kit

only a dumb **** would schedule oregon state for 2024 (or extend mark fox's contract)

it wuz pointed out to me by taylor's friend hannah (lived in nyc for a while after graduating from an ivy league school) after anton's modern yoga this evening that when shocky stormed the field & posted up at the 50 yard line on the stanford logo for 50+ headstand birthday crunches that he wuz lucky that none of the cardinals players running off the field didn't tip him over

that says a lot about the kinda high gpa high character true student athletes that r at calford

trust me, shocky would've been repeatedly knocked on his azz by 2.5 gpa dumb azzs that populate the rosters of truck stop academic skools like arizona & oregon state

at his most schools on the road they don't show the replays of controversial officially reviewed plays that might not be in the best interests of the home team

stanford showed replays of everything, even our TOUCHDOWN scoring plays, go bears

california golden bears: 67
auburn tigers: 53

arguably the biggest out of conference win during the coach charmin era on the road in sec country, the bears are now 4-0 & play florida a&m on monday in tallahassee

my favorite cal hooper (on either mens or womens team) michelle onyiah dominated the boards with an unreal 19 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals along with zero turnovers & only 3 fouls...michelle is an unreal +1 athletic dominant force & when she's on her game the bears can literally compete with anybody

hoop dream's favorite bear/the energizer bunny leilani mcintosh scored 19 points on an efficient 7-16 field goals & 5-6 free throws but more importantly controlled the ball against the auburn pressure en route to 6 assists...how does the 5'3" smallest player on the floor snare 8 boards?...yeah the filipina gotta lotta heart

6'3" tennessee transfer (left the volunteers during the 2nd half of last season to be with her moms in oviedo spain dying of cancer) marta suarez returned to the sec & played the game of her life with 27 points on 9 of 19 fields goals & 5 of 9 3 pointers...her shooting stroke from distance is pure moneybags with ice in her veins

kemery martin plays bad azz defense & unselfishly shares the ball on offense, she got 9 points & zero tunrovers

6'1" guard (smith has wisely recruited taller guards with length, the mini guards held back the trajectory of the program for multiple years) gonzaga transfer mckayla williams also played physical d & hit the boards for a critical 7 rebounds

these 5 starters scored 65 of the 67 points with mia mastrov adding a bucket & playing high energy d with length in the passing lanes

all of this wuz accomplished without leading scorer 15 ppg usf transfer ioanna krimill from greece

california golden bears: 78
florida a&m rattlers: 38

full disclosure: shocky is kinda a dumb azz cuz as he watched this game via espn+, the announcers included a fun good ol' boy from the deep south named van halen or something who rambled on about how to prepare cranberry sauce, moneybag road games for small schools & the keys to remaining married for 62 years (his wife got low expectations)

why is this the best bears team of the charmin era?...coach is finally playing 2 posts with size at the same time & she's gone away from her failed experiment in recruiting tiny guards, this squad got length and can aggressively defend/dominate the boards with intensity

the nation's top rebounder michelle ugonne onyiah snared 18 boards, blocked 3 shots & altered a gazillion more attempts but most impressively played under control with only 1 turnover & 1 foul...with continued development michelle is gonna get paid in the wbna but she's gotta work harder on her short range shots after a couple of missed bunnys around the rim

hoop dream's favorite filipina lelani mcintosh hustled & bustled for 25 points including a lights out 5 of 7 3 pointers & distributed/facilitated for 5 assists along with bad azz d...yeah jalen cone could learn a thing or two from the st marys hs (downtown phx) grad

marta suarez started slow after her huge performance last game & still finished with 15 points on 5 of 12 field goals along with 5 boards

bears finally got some major bench offensive production with smiling lulu "lemon" laditan-twidale knocking down 3 of 6 3 pointers with her rhythmical kinda set shot with beautifully arching moneyball rainbows...yeah lulu is really cute but she's still not my favorite australian

pittsburgh-tbd (road game)
3-8 (2-5 in the acc)

smu-tbd (road game, important texas recruiting opportunity)

a lotta potential wins for the california golden bears in our inaugural 2024 acc season, the scheduling of the 4th occ game will be critical for bowl eligibility & the upward trajectory of the football program

I liked Sekona a lot coming out of HS. But he has never developed and played very little at USC. And it is not like USC is a defensive powerhouse. I know the program will be losing a couple of DL but this player would be down my list of portal hopefuls at DL.

I am happy he is a good student and local but the team needs to add production.
