david earned a degree in education sciences from florida in the spring of 2022 & is currently enrolled in the grad cert program in berkeley

furthermore the football program would logistically not be able to fully utilize all 15 ncca allowed bowl game practices prior to a december 16th bowl game which are key devo opportunities for younger players

and that's why the monster thinks the first responder bowl on thursday december 26th at 4:30 pm central time at the gerald ford football stadium (home of smu) in dallas might make the most sense for the program

^ econ, that sounds exactly like knowlton thinking, let's schedule the toughest game possible!!!

the reality is that the louisiana cajuns gotta lotta good d1 football players & their led by a very athletic qb zeon chriss who completed 67% of his passes & rushed for 119 yards in a game earlier this season...this is exactly the kinda qb the bears have struggled with in the past & it will be require physical defensive assignment focused football with violently hitting the qb multiple times to get a win...furthermore, the acc got multiple qbs with a playing style like zeon as does auburn, let's get this defensively worked out for 2024, ok?

the difference in energy/momentum for the upward trajectory of the program is best accelerated by a bowl victory & winning 7-6 season, that's a story that can be told to 2024 & 2025 recruits and very importantly to our own players that might be on the fence re: returning for the 2024 inaugural acc season

college football in the modern era requires victories (nobody remembers who you played unless your in the national championship conversation) & that's why the con artist listening to the acc commish & signing off on a mid season mid major for the critical 4th ooc game is really important (instead of signing the oregon state/washington state contracts sitting on his desk)

bowl game roadtrips are fun (r u gonna be there?) & stormin' the field after a victory is even more FUN

Shocky, I know Brian Driscoll is considering law school and I'm sure he could have a long and successful career as an attorney.

I'm wondering, though, if you think Driscoll has a legitimate shot at the NFL. After he finally got an opportunity for a starting role this year, it seems to me he did very well. I suspect he may be a more effective run blocker than Cindric was, though he had the benefit of having Bloesch as his coach (and we never saw what Cindric could do on a Bloesch-coached line)..

Driscoll has good size, especially for a center. If he returned next year for another year of Bloesch tutelage, do you think Dricoll could be someone who gets drafted? Would he want to put law school on hold while he finds out?

zony, u bring up a lotta good points as usual...a year ago nobody on planet earth with any knowledge of football thought brian driscoll wuz anything beyond a journeyman pac 12 offensive lineman with the non technical & lax disciplined angus

but then coach bloesch arrived in berkeley & worked with driscoll (never berating or demeaning, just intensively developing his technique & finer points of the craft)...and brian moving his attitude from la jolla to national city wuz part of the transformation process for the trench worker

today brian is the cognitive leader of cal's monster offensive line which produced the pac 12's leading rusher & remarkably reducing the 2022 31 sacks to only 18 sacks in 2023

so right now with another potential season of accelerated development both tj session & brian driscoll will be legit prospects scouted by nfl organizations at this same time in 2024

law school isn't going anywhere, actually doing the berkeley grad cert program & playing football this spring, summer & next fall while practicing the lsat is probably the best strategy for achieving a high lsat score to gain admission into an elite law school once football is over someday

zony, please watch #60 in this video & tell me does this look like someone who is ready to give up playing pound for ground football with one more season of eligibility?


brian's dad tole me at the washington state game that his son loves his teammates & will NOT enter the transfer portal, if he plays another season it will be with his brothers in the exciting inaugural season of the acc

He looks fired up and he looks like a leader. For several weeks now I have observed that Driscoll looks like a leader on the field and on the sideline. He looks like he bleeds blue and gold.

I also saw some video of TJ after the last two games, on the field and in the locker room. He looked fired up too, and looks like he now bleeds blue and gold.

I am allowing myself to dream that both of these guys decide to come back next year. Now that we are moving to the ACC I feel this urge to show out for the east coast fans....I'm sure they were underwhelmed with adding our school, but I'd really like to show them what the Bear can do when it's eaten just enough to have strength, but not enough to be complacent.

philly, let me give u a heads up about how winning football works, ok?

if ur d violently (and cleanly) hits the opposing team's starting qb (ethan garbers is NOT an exceptional player, he's a game manager at best) & injures him & then the back up qb (dante moore wuz a top 3 ranked 5 star qb in the 2023 class) also gets the **** knocked out of him & becomes shell shocked that's a recipe for winning football games on a football field with a football

if u wanna be clinically depressed that's ur choice but minimizing how cal knocked the **** out of ucla 33-7 saturday nite & then danced on the rose bowl grass late into the nite is not a good look for u

mike saffell's development in working with coach bloesch (who will be our next offensive coordinator when spav gets his next head coaching gig after cal 's explosive offense helps win the acc) is the equivalent of a harvard mba for collegiate football coaching

yeah shocky got his cal's monster class recruit jaylen brown into yoga/meditation & my intellectually branded (also an assist to the monster) friend is now earning the nba super max contract of $305,000,000+ but will not support the cal basketball program in any meaningful way at this time just like me...smart people/creatures like my rescue doggy benji listen to me, dumb azzs like knowlton tell me to **** off, such is the life of a future substitute yoga teach at modern yoga

^ no conflicts with berkeley final examinations, the full utilization of all 15 ncca allowed bowl game practices & a reasonably close drive/flights for cal's large contingent (and growing) bearents & families in texas
