gk, kalolo (best name evah) gotta actionable offer from usc & a crystal ball or two to the trojans and both utah & arizona are big time football programs right now...the cal advantage is the family atmosphere, the proximity on gamedays for the very close fam, coach bloesch's past document development of raw trench workers with upside & the 3.5 gpa's awareness of the ability to build generational wealth with a degree from the #1 ranked public university in the world

building the riordan pipeline is a huge priority for the staff, 4.0 gpa & berkeley moms qb mike mitchell is the #1 quarterback on the staff's 2026 big board

after watching live in person (watching on tv is for losers, the 2024 acc inaugural season is an opportunity for true california golden bears to spend their fall gamedays at memorial stadium) at the independence bowl the lack of footspeed of the bears safeties & also the lack of elite +1 athleticism of the inside backers other than cade uluave, teddye buchanan is a HUGE acquisition for the bears in building a consistent defense

interesting aspect of this recruitment is that teddye won't be graduating with a highly regarded uc davis degree until this may so the current plan is for him to attend as many cal 2024 spring ball practices, etc. as a non physically participating attendee that is learning coach sirmon's playbook...it helps that teddye is smart as ****

look, the sky is not falling (tho some of the whiny azz sr citizens on this board like stykur, golden gone & bluebook probably need a prostate check up or something) & the staff's decision to play faster, quicker & smaller safeties in 2024 that got closing on the ball footspeed is gonna be very important in competing agains the acc predominant spread offenses...isaiah crosby is part of that schematic transformational innovation

Damn we get our ass handed to us by Texas Tech, have a 4* commitment Clark flip to Arizona, and cannot secure a commitment from Kalolo who commits to USC. I would call that a rough weekend for sure.

How are we doing with the official visit with OL Rush. I believe has a an official today. Maybe we can get some good news with him.

I can think of one punt against USC that wasn't fair caught - and I wish had been.

reality is that that con artist don't got the connections/relationships within collegiate athletics to horse trade a bowl game plus he's too ******* clueless re: the mental rigors of berkeley final examinations to understand that it would impact player performance

thx for the heads up, cam, this is another MAJOR mismanagement of the kicking room by consultant ryan longwell who stubbornly stuck with 3 iron trajectory beyond breaking bad kicker dario longhetto for multiple seasons, never helped the confidence level of michael luckhurst & then called mateen to let him know he would not be receiving a scholly for the 2024 season despite a near perfect kicking record...and yeah we've had slightly north of mediocre/inconsistent punting during the longwell reign of visiting around once a month to check up on the kickers & punters

longwell wants to bring in his guy who isn't even in the portal yet who missed all of his field goals this season

coach wilcox's stubborn refusal to hire a full time special teams coach needs to be more adaptive of the realities of the close margins of cal football games that often hinge on special teams play which is something that the bears have been outclassed in during every season of the justin head coaching era

if you watch california golden bears special teams, my advice is just look away...

Putting together snippets I've read on various threads on this board over the past month, I would say take a look at the Georgia Tech roster and look for a kicker who went 0 for 3 in field goal attempts this season.
