ND was instrumental in getting us into the ACC. Their former President John Jenkins, who was at the helm at ND for 20 years, is a Cal/Graduate Theology Union alum) and lobbied hard for Cal. He was very involved in their athletic program, I bet he caught some games at Memorial when he was in Berkeley.

michael kim (68, tied for 8th): our california golden bear raced up the leaderboard by taking care of biz on the 3 par 5s (2 birdies) & knocking irons stiff on both the par 4 13th & 17th holes...michael is current ranked #64 in the official world rankings & is likely to move up as he contends for the championship trophy this weekend, luv how he holds his finishing pose with high hands after the stroke (it's kinda seth curry on moneyballs)
this course reminds me a lot of silverado in the napa valley with its tricky narrow playing corridors that places a premium off the tee even with long irons/utility woods & it's watery par 3s...it's not in my top 10 courses in france (golf de morfontaine is shocky's favorite course in continental europe by a wide margin with chantilly as #2 in france) but it's a good test for professional golfers that requires patience & thoughtful shotmaking strategies
