2026 cal football schedule update:

a couple of weeks ago teams in the acc wuz quietly adjusting their 2026 outta conference games to clear room for a 9th acc game, the bears staff wuz targeting the byu game (not wagner) for contractual cancellation

but now the acc commish has indicated that keeping current schedules in place for 2026 is still acceptable so as of right now the roadie to byu (which along with trip to smu will be the bears early look toughest 2026 games) is still gonna happen

honestly there are ZERO architecturally worthwhile courses anywhere near provo/salt lake city (a lotta insipid garbage time housing development cartball tracks) so not thrilled about this latest development

Maybe, but if he wants to be successful as a HC he may want to focus on that ASAP. Oregon has guys who can fill in as DC (IIRC they have a co-DC). If I were him, I'd want every possible second focusing on my dream job as Cal HC and building for a successful 2026.
