Vikings are likely to beat the Rams and set up a rematch at Ford Field in two weeks.
Likely final 4 is Lions-Eagles/Chiefs-Bills

Hope the Lions can make it happen this year. Long-suffering fanbase and Jared Goff at QB. Let's go!
Not necessarily, since the NFL re-seeds the second round. If Washington or Green Bay wins then they would travel to Detroit as the lowest remaining seed. I would put Washington as a favorite over Tampa.Cal88 said:

*After supporting a team that has sucked for decades (the Raiders), this feels great. Gear up! Go Goff!

I think the difference is that the Lions have earned their way to becoming America's team.okaydo said:bear2034 said:

They've become the Dallas Cowboys?
But everybody hates the Dallas Cowboys?
Wearing his NFC North championship shirt and hat, Jared Goff brought up a Sheila Hamp moment from 2022.

The Lions were 1-5 during Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell’s second season. Hamp held an impromptu media session backing both leaders. The Lions are 35-9 since. pic.twitter.com/hWTfzId30Q

Looking through the youtube comments for Detroit games, it seems the Lions have become a second favorite team to watch this year for fans of other teams.

They play in exciting, high scoring games. The team doesn't really have a history that anyone alive remembers, and Barry Sanders and Alex Karras are the only players of real note the past 60 years. So, no fan base has an axe to grind with them about anything. And we've been watching them all these years on Thanksgiving Day (just like the other America's Team).

Goff is a cut above these two youngsters, and he is working within a good offensive system and lots of talent, their offense is firing on all cylinders.
If they can get a couple of their studs from D back from injury they're going to be favored all the way through.

I would add Megatron, Lem Barney and Night Train Lane to your Lion's greats but your point remains legitimateAunBear89 said:bear2034 said:okaydo said:bear2034 said:

Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are mentioned as top favorites for the NFL MVP award, I am not sure why Goff has not been in the mix so far.
Oops I forgot George Plimpton--he is also an all time Lion's greatMSaviolives said:I would add Megatron, Lem Barney and Night Train Lane to your Lion's greats but your point remains legitimateAunBear89 said:bear2034 said:okaydo said:bear2034 said:
