that is the way of recruiting college football.. some you win some you loose someh

special people attend and play for CAL.. this place is not meant for everyone

sonny and staff have recruited well thus far imo coming off a 1-11 campaign

stop acting like we didnt get 2 QBs in feb ..

huh?

We got two fine young men to play QB that were not highly ranked.

I believe we beat out Eastern Washington for Chase and a lot of WAC type schools and military academies for Luke (due to his size).

In future, they might end up becoming great QB's but that is not a certainty..

As it stands, the data suggests that SD is getting whooped in recruiting at the QB position vis-a-vis the upper half of the pac 12 teams.

Hopefully we can close on Waller (due to his high GPA, interest in other quality academic schools) but that is probably remote as we waited a while to offer.

My fear is that we will have major problems down the road if we continue to whiff on the top local and LA talent at the QB position.

For what it's worth, UCLA also offered Luke and schools tend to back off when a QB commits early (June of 2013) unless they really want to make a run and think there's a chance to swing someone.

Yes I know that ucla offered, and Mora actually whiffed on many qb's last year too (Allen, Kaaya).

However, he more than made up for it with Rosen this year while Dykes so far has nada.

Maybe Kearns will get a look too but so far he only has SMU, has no other Pac 12 offers last I saw.

So wait Mora missed on a QB last year... including trying to get Luke Rubenzer... but made up for it by getting a commitment, not a signed LOI, the next year made up for it... However Dykes in the beginning of May of the same year has done nada? Shouldn't Dykes get until next March before you say he got nada.

Maybe Sonny will flip a quarterback in January after missing out on all his other targets like Mora & UCLA did this year.

Didn't you get the memo -- Sonny can't do anything right until he proves the posters wrong by winning the PAC12 or maybe just the PAC12 North.

Mora won 10 games so he gets a pass.

I would be much happier if he won the first half once in a while.

We gotta start by winning A game. Don't get all skippy talking PAC north or any silliness before that happens
