Hmmmm, he recently visited Arizona State two times in a row and Oregon recently offered but he didn't visit there. Hopeful but not confident.

ASU vs Cal ... quite a contrast with regards to academics ... kinda depends on how much a real education is important to him.
ASU could provide much more of a BMOC atmosphere.

Glass half full: He's 98% sold on Cal, but really wanted to give ASU a chance.
Glass half empty: He's 100% sold on ASU, taking two trips just because he loves it there.

(As an aside, do a Google Image Search for "ASU" and "Cal Berkeley" [to eliminate the ambiguity of "Cal" by itself]. The difference says a lot about both campuses.)

Hey thats exactly what i was thinking. When your sold on something you want a Devils advocate, on the other hand, it could Dam, those women are fine. I need to make sure that mess was real, if so, I'm switching.

If so, he would be in essence saying "Hoes up, Gee's down".

Don't worry we got Luke coming.

Does the announcement really mean anything with almost a full year for him to change his mind? Oregon gets a lot of final week flips in their favor. And Stanford has a ton of time to offer him even after he's committed. Whoever he commits to should not celebrate quite yet.

I got high hopes for RBZ and hope that we show a pulse this year and it's good enough to get Kirk to join RBZ but losing out on white means that we whiffed on the entire upper echelon of this ballyhooed QB class. Just looks bad. Also decreases chances of getting Irwin. And QB is a gamble. You do NOT know who is gonna pan out or get hurt etc. Yeah we picked up two last year but just me:I think Forrest was a flyer w an extra scholly cause we will graduate two after this year. RBZ may translate he may turn out to be too short etc... Need a QB this year and need a bunch of quality WR this year (between the seniors and juniors by the time these 2015 guys are ready to play we will have lost a big chunk of our now strong WR corps).

let's keep in mind that Cal is the only school that has a high interest level for both Irwin and White. So, if they really want to play together, you'd think Cal would be the choice.

Irwin and White like Stanford but only Irwin has been offered
Irwin does not have an interest in ASU nor an offer from Oregon

So, there you have it.
Regardless of the "crystal ball". Cal is the most logical choice.
edit: I think it's pretty clear that, since Irwin has an offer from ASU but has a "cool" level of interest, he is probably not going to ASU.

The minute either White gets an offer from Stanford or Irwin get an offer from Oregon thinks are bound to shift.

High-profile early QB commits generally don't tend to flip without things like coaching changes happening do they?

Much less frequent than other positions

I thought Irwin was offered by ASU. If he commits, the communication over time with the coaches and players can change the mindset to want to go to other places, but my gut says he's going to the desert. The idea that Stanford won't take a QB this year is absurd, IMO.

It's a whole different world out there. But then again, we don't have stuff like this at our tailgates:

Irwin has an offer from ASU but his interest is not very high IMO.

Not so sure about that after his lastest visit last week. Still think Cal and Stanford for Irwin though with Stanford probably favorite. White is scary as ASU has a SR QB, Oregon has a JR who will be going to the NFL next year, and Cal has a SO that will return. If playing time is more important than grades we may be looking from the outside on this one. Lets hope a 4.1 student realizes that both those schools will continue to bring in top QB talent also and that playing time is a hit away while education is for a lot longer.

Maybe it was a bad idea to have both Luke and White on campus together. Kirk may have been pitched playing with Luke, while Irwin being pitched playing with White.

ill take kirk and luke ..and we got two in feb so.. make sure get a good one next season if we wiff .. unless there is a diamond in the ruff again like luke was unranked then 2 stars the finally 3 stars ..

then tony and offense better make QB's respect what we are starting to get done in the pac 12 aka win and points and OL winning the battle

ASU is more scary than Oregon for White.

Oregon has a highly rated dual threat with high interest in Oregon. Dual threat QBs are a better fit for Oregon. You'd think they would be for Cal but not really, although Rubenzer's dual threat in the TFS is intriguing. But Cal is based on the Mike Leach system and he is not using a dual threat QB currently.

ASU did recruit a very highly rated QB in Wilkins for 2014. Wilkins was rated higher than Rubenzer. Not that that amounts to a hill of beans in White's mind.

He's going to Cal. ASU is a better program right now but White has a clearer path at Cal. Oregon offered too late.

Will be a huge pick up for you guys. White is one of the best QB recruits in the country.

Many of your predictions here have not come true.
So, let me just say, we'd rather have Browning than just about anybody not already committed save White. So you are sitting in pretty good shape right now.

So what makes you say White goes to Cal? It would be the first piece of major good news we've had in a long time, unless you include retaining Tre Watson after UCLA made a late push.
