I'm getting nervous again. Came out like gang busters on offense and now they can't do crap. Only 3 points this half. Defense is keeping us in this but I'm feeling like this is starting to slip away with missed tackles, poor execution on offense etc....talk me off the ledge.

I don't think anybody in the country thought Arizona would have only 13 points after 3 quarters.

ebb and flow of game we are just now learning / figuring out how to close/finsh out games

Hey you know I usually HATE TV time outs and quarter changes but in this case...hell yeah, Cal gets a 3 minute breather.

this reminds me of the early 1990's when we had Bruce Synder coaching and the defense got the nickname the Cardiac Kids because of the number of games they pulled out with a late takeaway they used to stop the other teams go ahead drive late in the fourth quarter.

we get "fancy". The play calling is just putrid. I am not a fan of Tony Franklin. He seems more interested in showing off his system than calling a good offensive series.

I can almost live with allowing a field goal, but we need possession for a long time or we need to score a TD. Let's stop with the goofball play calling. It's like Tony Franklin figures he has to call 2000 plays he'll only ever use one time in order to eliminate other coaches ability to study film.
