I'm still trying to figure out what happened to Max Smith. He was doing well, but disappeared and the new QB Christian came in. Christian hasn't been nearly as good.

spot of the foul penalty. It was 1st and 5 because it occurred 10 yards downfield. Do it at the LOS and you end up with first and 15.

College football is weird with lots of penalties downfield at the spot of the foul. In that case the spot was across the first down marker. I would have thought 1st and 15 but what the heck do i know.

But If they get the yardage for the run they don't get to replay the down. It's one or the other. They either had a first down and it's now 1st and 15 or they get the yardage and its 2nd and 6. Instead it was first and 6, which makes no sense.

If the defense can win 1st down and force them into 3rd and 7 or more I don't think they have the QB's or Wideout's to make a 1st down consistently.
