You can't blame DJ for this one, he was overprotective with the ball and held it outside, away from his tackler. He did great to just catch the ball and have a long RAC to inside the 1 yard line. His team couldn't punch it in in 3 tries.

Um yeah - I can. Holding the ball like a loaf of bread while neglecting to put his foot into the endzone? That's being over protective with the ball? He holds it right, dives in, ball hits the pylon, Redskins score a TD. All efforts were subsequent to that. They should have scored on that play.

Rodgers is the best QB to come out of Cal and the only one to win a Super Bowl. And he's winning today. Yes, he's just horrible. Or worse. Craig Morton? Bartkowski? Ferragamo? He's still more successful. Joe Kapp might have been better as a winner, but no Super Bowl. Go AR!!

Looked to me like DeSean's right leg hit the pylon just before his left foot touched down out of bounds. They fixated on his left foot not touching down in the end zone, but his other leg did. Probably should have been a td, not that it mattered.

Hanky, if I remember right, you also think Goff is unlikely to be a good pro quarterback, right? Seems like you are a bit down on Cal (/Butte) QBs. Not that I know for sure Goff will succeed but I think many scouts are higher on him than that one grumpy ex-scout you linked a while back. My opinion is that, while he's not a sure thing, he's the best QB in the draft. Rodgers had a down year but he is still a very good QB. Saying Rodgers is horrible seems a little far-fetched.
