As much shi**y stuff as Harbaugh does, did you see any of their signing day group panel today? They had Derek Jeter, Tom Brady, Lou Holtz, hell they were interviewing Derek Jeter on the Big10 Network and you could see Vern Troyer in the background on the big screen via skype with a big Michigan helmet on doing god knows what. Harbaugh was kicking around on stage as well. They put together a tremendous event to announce their signings. That's how you build hype and enthusiasm for your program. I realize it's comparing apples and oranges in terms of football culture but the little things like that really do add up.

Gotta hope all these guys end up like Mikey M clones. 2-3 star guys that develop into 5 star players. That's the only hope. Too many built-in advantages down south.

We've never out recruited SC but we've certainly more than held our own against UCLA in the past. The 3.0 GPA rule may be the cause or at least a heavy contributing factor in the new world order. And/Or they may just be better recruiters than our staff. I don't know.

the 3.0 rule doesn't take full effect (80%) until next year. and most of the kids both schools have offered have 3.0+ gpas.

I know one thing: I don't like finishing last among the California Pac-12 teams every year that Dykes has been here. He is 0-9 against those schools and looks like he is going to be 0 forever against them.

Dykes job search drama probably did not help this cycle
