Good story and recollection, bearister, but didn't the Warriors play and beat Lebron and his Cavs the next two years after that in the Finals, 2017 and 2018? (With Durant).

Good recollection except for the part where I stepped on my dick.

I know we're getting to know one another real well when I've heard all your best stories before.

Where are the Cal Laker fans?

I am a Laker and Clipper fan but I really don't watch many NBA games anymore. The timing just doesn't fit my schedule and to be honest Kevin Durant's selfish and mercenary nature after barely losing in OKC (where I was a fan of his) and then carpetbagging around the league trying to win since is really a turnoff.

The style of play with almost no defense and lots of jacking up threes is also a factor. Donovan Mitchell scored 71 points. Would Jordan be able to go for 90?

I sometimes watch Shaq, Chuck, and Kenny on TNT and maybe some of whatever game they have on.

I might watch this Lakers Warriors series just to see the last hurrah of a Lebron and Curry but I am pretty busy so we will see.

Lebron is still scary, and they weren't healthy most of year, yet are full strength now

I've also only seen game highlights so I really don't know the team that will take the court this year

not sure who gets the D assignment on Lebron and it will probably be by committee (our our anti-lebron is on the bench with a wrist injury) but he's going to get his.

Davis will be an interesting matchup

Lakers will score

So the biggest factor is can Lakers stop Curry & Co. I don't think so

All good - happens to me too.

I enjoy your posts, so please don't let a little accidental dick-stomping deter you.

" James and Curry have combined for 60,364 regular-season points. That's the second-most by opposing players entering a playoff series, trailing only the matchup of James and Carmelo Anthony in the 2020 first round.

The Lakers' first-round victory over the Grizzlies saw LeBron James defeat his 20th different franchise in a postseason series.

Why it matters: That ties Derek Fisher and Robert Horry for the most by a player in NBA history. The 20 teams LeBron has beaten:

Wizards
Nets
Pistons
Hawks
Bulls
76ers
Celtics
Knicks
Pacers
Thunder
Bucks
Spurs
Hornets (as Bobcats)
Raptors
Warriors
Trail Blazers
Rockets
Nuggets
Heat
Grizzlies

What to watch: If the Lakers meet the Suns in the next round, the 38-year-old James will have the chance to beat his 21st team and stand alone atop the list."

My thought is Laker's size inside is going to give W's a lot of problems...Davis will guard the rim, assisted by LeBron and make it harder for W's to score and offensive rebounding will not go W's way. W's are really going to have to take care of the ball and shoot better from the outside to have a chance.

I mean, people have been predicting that other teams' size inside is going to beat the Warriors and it rarely comes true. They have plenty of experience compensating for smaller size. And on the other end, can those guys keep up with the way GSW likes to run?

I can see this series going either way, but the Warriors' lack of size will not be the reason they lose, if they do.
SRBear

I agree...but the Warriors offense won't be able to rely on offensive rebounding to get 2 and 3 chances to score.

Both teams provide matchup issues for each other. Should be a fascinating series.

I'm not sure how healthy AD and Lebron will be for this series. I do think the every other day schedule for games will take a toll on them as the series moves forward.

Kings series was weird, in that both teams shot poorly from three, even though both had been good at it during the season. I would expect some mean reversion from the Warriors on that, but every matchup is different.
OdontoBear66
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Very different matchups in these games. I worry that the Warriors will not combat the inside as they did with Looney/Green and Co. against Sacto. Davis and LeBron are just a different inside presence. However the Ws definitely have to advantage around the perimeter. Will be interesting. How well we do against Davis will be more important the LeBron and Curry trade offs.

The Memphis Grizzlies have informed pending free agent Dillon Brooks that he will not be brought back under any circumstances, league sources say.

The Kings guards being quick and explosive were a bad match up for the Warriors. The Lakers don't have the same speed or skill.. I don't think LeBron can take over a game anymore like Steph did on Sunday. He looks like his jumping ability and energy has diminished. Looney/ Green be fine on Davis.

Who is going to guard Curry?

Bad character guy, antics detract from the overall basketball mission.
He tries to muck up games with physical confrontations and intimidation of opponents. It can have its place, but not if you can't shoot the ball well. He's a poor shooting percentage. He's become an embarrassment.

I love the game where Schroeder pretended to be punched in the balls and writhed in mock pain on the floor in ruptured agony for 10 minutes….then the replay showed he was tapped in the lower stomach area by the defender's hand.

There is only one way to end that time wasting nonsense from the game: One game suspension. I'm sick of that crap.

He was hit and grabbed twice, on both sides of his inner groin. He certainly could have been hit in the balls. His balls aren't small like Curry's.

So the replay showing him tapped above the belt whereas he grabs lower groin is a deepfake?

At least if Draymond goes for his nads it will be The Real Deal and it will be a reality show instead of a drama.

You need your eyes checked. Even the clip you posted is titled "Dennis Schroeder in serious pain after being hit in the groin."
