Consider this: You are a bright, young "techie' who got his dream job with Google or Facebook, $200K per year.
Now I can live near work and buy a nice house. Right? So you find a luxury home with a spacious lot in Cupertino. 1,800 - 2,000 square ft luxury Eichler built in 1965 with a spacious 1/8 acre. lot. Cost, a paltry $2.1M. So I put 25% down and finance the rest with a 3.5% mortgage. Where does my $200K go:

Mortgage, taxes and insurance - $83,000
State and federal income taxes - 60,000
Sales andobablt gas taxes. 5,000
Other living expenses. 52,000

Can probably eat out or go to Starbucks twice per month. Don't even think about child care. That is 20K - 25K per month. But this is California!! You should be proud to spend that much. Of course in Austin it would be less than 1/2 and you would be living in a small mansion with a pool.

Expensive real estate = LOTS of people with money still want to live here. Not everybody, but lots. Somebody moves to Austin, somebody else moves to Reno, so what? Somebody else moves in. Call me when California seems to be turning into a giant ghost town. I'm not seeing it.

You need to check who is manipulating you. If you are talking about Mexico, Mexico has universal healthcare. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Healthcare_in_Mexico

People come to the US for jobs and for their kids' future, same as your family did, not for free healthcare. Last time I was in Aculpulco met a guy from the Bay Area who had family in Mexico, he had a surfing accident in Santa Cruz, broke his leg and got septis. Moved to Mexico for the free medical care.

It is not in a trust, it is "being run by Don Jr." but Trump reviews the financials. When on his first trip to Saudi Arabia in 2016 he thanked the Saudis for the $millions they "spent" at the Trump hotel in DC for the inauguration and then gave them an arms deal. It is the biggest open secret In DC, that you can give Trump money by spending it as a "bar tab" at the hotel. Look at all the campaign events at Mar A Lago? The one that the President of Brazil and his entire delegation attended? Remember when he was lobbying to have the G7 at his golf course in Florida? Just recently he was lobbying to have the British open at his golf course in Scotland.

He is a year older than me. I know a lot of people that went to Punahou with him. His sister Maya is a friend (a good friend of mine took her to the prom). If you want to know about his life in Hawaii, read his award winning autobiography, published well before he entered politics. He was editor of the Harvard Law Review. He was a professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago (a bastion of conservatism). The slander against his intelligence and achievements is pure racism. Not that there would be anything wrong with being Muslim (I have friends and family who are) but Obama is a regular church goer, as good a Christian as you will find in politics. He was slandered with ridiculous racist BS, especially by Trump and that non-sensical birther BS and turned the other cheek.

He grew with his mother, maternal grandparents and half-sister Maya. He did not even have an older half brother.

What exactly do you think he did to stop Trump from being elected? Release Hillary's emails that the Russians hacked days before the election?

Do you understand that calling someone "Muslim" as a means to disparage them is inherently biased?

It is like calling someone "gay" when you intend it as an insult. The bias is inherent.

You can disagree with Obama's politics and like Trump's, but if you cannot tell that Obama is a better Christian than Trump then the reason is obvious.

So you obviously attended Reverend White's church for 20 years and witnessed all this? Obama couldn't have, he wasn't even in Chicago for 20 years. And how does this back up your calling Obama a Muslim? We are not talking about Reverend White anyway. Obama disavowed any past racism of Reverend Wight. You don't have to agree with everything your pastor says. That is the whole basis for Protestant Christianity.

News flash: attending any particular church, or attending church at all, is not what makes one a good Christian.

If you cannot see that Obama tries to be a good Christian and Trump does not then the reason is obvious.
