It's neither. It's more like a look of desperation. Like I have been sitting on this info since earlier. It was ok at first because I was at work, busy, with no time on my hands. I thought it would have been announced by the time I got off at 3:30. The suspense is getting to me. 😬

Whether or not you have inside knowledge, I don't appreciate coy hints (however well meant, they strike me as self-serving), and would prefer to wait for the Cal WBB Web site to break the news.

Really? Self serving? If you really knew me, you would know that's far from the truth. But everybody has a right to their opinion.
I sincerely posted the decision had been made, so that everyone waiting on the news would know to look for it on social media.
It's crazy how something so trivial could lead to one questioning another person's character.

Well, kkross22, I don't really know you or many other people on the board (as in face-to-face, long-term, and all that). I only know what others post, just as they only know what I post. Social media isn't the best place for other than superficial acquaintance.

Anyway I apologize for questioning your character. In the past, the occasional poster has hinted at inside knowledge that was not accurate, and this sometimes led to all sorts of confusion and disappointment. I'm now sure you're not this sort of person.

In the meantime, my husband BearBloke and I are very happy that M.C. will be coming to Berkeley this year, and that's the most important thing of all on this thread.

Exactly, I was trying to give a hint good news was coming, without spilling the beans. 😀

I had heard that Afure is back in the Bay Area and interning at a local law firm. I am sure that she put in a good word for us with her fellow SMS alum. Another Cal player who loves our school and our coaches and who will make great use of her Cal degree.

She probably played 1 year with Courtney Range too but I think she realize she will get plenty of opportunity to play here plus get the special degree from Cal. Smart gal.

Off her videos and recruiting analysts' reports, Cayton will be a great compliment to the Bear teammates she'll be joining. Great get!

Great news for Cal ... and Mi'Cole. Plenty of minutes available, that's for sure.

And as for point guard, I never really thought of Gabby Green as a pure point guard. She has always seemed like a wing to me, even though she doesn't look to score that much. Cayton doesn't seem like a point guard either, off of what I've seen from her, and I think the staff's biggest challenge will be to find someone who's comfortable running the offense and can consistently hit the open three.

Asha looked pretty good to me, especially considering she was a freshie coming off a bad knee injury. She shot .358 on threes (2nd on the team after Mikayla's .390) with an assist/turnover ratio of 1.53 (2nd on the team after Gabby's 1.54). I'm hoping Mi'Cole can play backup PG while sharing SG minutes with Ma'Ane.

We appreciate any inside track you may have when it comes to SMS players KK. For those of you who don't know if KKross is hearing things pertaining to SMS girl basketball players you probably wanna listen since her daughter played for SMS and has been around the girls for many years.. The 2016,2017 & 2018 SMS class are like family.

Mi'Cole didn't play with Courtney, Court transferred to Manteca HS her senior year....but once an SMS player always an SMS player, much luv.

I wouldn't say that about every player, as most families try to keep things to themselves, but the Cayton's are like family. They included me in the process, which is a testament of the relationship we have built. Sierra and Micole are really close. And so are me and Micole, she calls me Mom. I adore the kid!!!
