Several 2018 recruits are currently competing @ the Tokyo stop of the FINA World Cup series (SCM) as part of the US National Junior Team contingent - Eva Merrell, Zoe Bartel, Lucie Nordmann, Anya Goeders, amongst others.
They will be joined by 2017 LSJU commit Brooke Forde, Michigan commit Sierra Schmidt, and Texas A&M commit Joy Field.
Think Canadian recruit Sarah Darcel will also be competing...

Have already sung the praises of standouts in the 2018 recruiting class on these pages (Eva Merrell, Zoe Bartel etc) - but one previously unheralded Nat Jr teamer, from the 2020 class (!), already making quite an impression here - Regan Smith (#1 MN, #1 Nat)!

200m back - Regan 8th (2:05.83). 8th fastest 18 & Under.
100m fly - Eva 5th (58.07). This makes her the 2nd fastest USA All Time 18 & Under performer in this SCM event, I believe!
Kelsi Worrell won the 100m fly with her 55.84, beating Jeanette Ottesen, Katinka Hosszu, & Rikako Ikee (the Japanese 16 year-old having set a new Jr WR of 56.42 in the process - see: https://swimswam.com/rikako-ikee-wows-home-crowd-with-new-wjr-in-100fly/)
Mixed 4x50m Medley Relay - Same quartet from prelims for Team USA, ended up 2nd (1:41.02). Russia, fielding some of their biggest stars, Donetc/Efimova/Morozov/Ustinova, was the winning team.

400m free - Sierra Schmidt also into finals, 7th (4:07.07) ... Joy 24th.
Mixed 4x50m Free Relay - Anya & Eva, alongside Michael Andrew & Austin Katz, took the 3rd seed slot for Team USA (1:36.64). Russia 2nd seed. Australia tops the field.
FINALS
400m IM - Brooke got on the podium by claiming 3rd in finals (4:31.40), 4th fastest USA All Time 18 & Under performer!

Mixed 4x50m Free Relay - Team USA subbed in Anthony Ervin (replacing Austin Katz) who promptly churned out the fastest flying split of the entire field, muscling the team into the lead which Kelsi maintained at the conclusion of the 3rd leg (ahead of eventual winners Australia by 0.24 sec at that point), but Anya jumped too early in her youthful exuberance/inexperience (RT of -0.09!) and so was slapped wth a DQ.
Of note was Rikako Ikee adding 2 more WJRs to her resume (5 thus far in just 2016!) - 2nd in both the 50m fly (25.73) & 100m IM (58.24). Perhaps Teri can put out feelers to the Japanese starlet (if she hasn't already done so
) with regards to the next recruiting cycle or two? :p
