Where has this "troubling data on safety concerns" been? Anyway, now that THE authoritative medical body on vaccinations, ACIP, has reversed course, will medical associations and institutions follow suit? Not holding my breath. The Independent Medical Alliance (IMA) applauds the unanimous, 12-0 vote by the HHS Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to end the universal recommendation for mRNA COVID-19 vaccines for infants, children, and adults.
The vote, which restores the patient-doctor relationship by recommending the vaccines only through "shared clinical decision-making" consultations with a healthcare provider, came after panel members were presented with troubling data on safety concerns and injuries associated with mRNA vaccines.
"This 'vaccine' was rushed into distribution from its inception, with a median review time of just 21 days before approval," said Dr. Joseph Varon, IMA President and Chief Medical Officer. "There's now a flood of peer-reviewed research highlighting the dangerous error of this process. This is, by far, the most harmful vaccine ever administered in the US. Today's move is a victory for patient rights and transparency."

A lot of parents are putting their trust in Team RFK Jr. I wonder if they will feel raw about it if they turn out to be false prophets? If it works out over time, I will have to admit we have been oversold on vaccines. If it doesn't work out, then what? Any admissions?

Potential resurgence of vaccine-preventable diseases:

Measles: As of June 2025, the U.S. has experienced a near 20-year high in new measles cases, with some outbreaks resulting in fatalities, particularly among unvaccinated individuals. Weaker vaccine recommendations could exacerbate this trend.

Whooping cough (Pertussis): Cases have been on the rise, and recent deaths of unvaccinated infants have been reported. A decline in vaccination could increase illness and death, especially in babies.

Hepatitis B: Postponing or removing the universal recommendation for infant hepatitis B vaccination raises concerns. Prior to 1991, thousands of infants were infected annually, leading to a risk of liver disease and cancer later in life. Universal vaccination plummeted those numbers. Without a universal recommendation, newborns of mothers who were not screened or had false-negative results could be missed, leading to a rise in new infections.

Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b): A severe bacterial infection that can cause meningitis, a historically fatal disease in children. Before the vaccine became available in 1985, Hib was a leading cause of death and disability in children. With the potential for the vaccine to be removed from the recommended schedule, there is concern that Hib disease could return in large numbers.

Polio: Although eliminated from the U.S., public health officials worry about its potential return if vaccination rates drop significantly.

Diphtheria: Once known as the "strangling angel," this serious respiratory disease could also re-emerge if vaccination rates fall among teenagers.
