The longer Zelensky frobnicates, the more geography he loses. His exaggeration of their successful drone attack doesn't help.

Vladimir Putin:"Ukraine attacked our air bases where Russian strategic bombers are located. They proved that there can be no peaceful solution. They have prepared their own end with this action, there is no more red line, they will regret what they did." https://x.com/aleksbrz11

FWIW, Ukraine broke an International Treaty between Russia and the USA by bombing those planes.

My opinion is that Macgregor would say "Russia is going to win anyway, give them what they want" no matter what was going on.

He'd be right about Russia winning. The longer this drags, the more dead Ukrainians and the smaller their negotiation margin.

Russia's military "power" is a joke.
You and MacGregor have been so wrong you might as well be the same person.
Ukraine has exposed them to the entire world as one of the weakest military forces on the planet.

Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) reported on Sunday that over a third of all Russian missile carriers have been hit in a coordinated drone attack aimed at different airfields in Russia located thousands of kilometres apart.

More than 40 aircraft are known to have been hit, including the A-50, Tu-95, and Tu-22 M3, causing overall damage of more than 6 billion.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said "Operation Spiderweb" had made "an absolutely brilliant result" which was "achieved solely by Ukraine."

'Operation Spiderweb': How Ukraine destroyed over a third of Russian bombers
'

It was Ukraine's biggest win since the sinking of the Moskva cruiser in the Black Sea. This being said, the damage claims were overstated by a factor of 3, they destroyed or damaged about 1/10th of the Russian bomber fleet (see below). Still a very large number for one operation. This was most likely put together with the help of the Brits and NATO.

The Tu-95 "Bear" are old models similar to the B-52 which are no longer in production, same with the Tu-22s, but the Tu-160s, which are similar to the B-1 are currently in production again and the Russians have 50 planes on order.
This has been ongoing for a long time, but it still surprises me that people will post claims from an account named warfakes and believe that the info must be 100% accurate.

Come on, man. Have you paid no attention to Russia's behavior since the supposed temporary cease fire agreement? Putin has slow rolled the peace initiative and used the time to bomb the hell out of Ukraine, quite often civilians. Putin is the abusive husband who promises (but actually refuses) to go to counseling then claims he's the victim when the beat up spouse finally strikes back. *****Putin. It is time for the US to employ the stick instead of the carrot. Full sanctions, sell Ukraine whatever weaponry they want, NATO membership back on the table, etc. Maybe Putin will finally listen.

Official Ukrainian sources also claim that the number of Ukrainian soldiers KIA stood at 45,100 as of 3 months ago. The real number is closer to a million Ukrainian KIAs, so their fudge factor here is around 20x. In that sense, the fudge factor of 3x from Ukrainian sources about the Russian bomber fleet damage is well within their modus operandi.

Back in November of 2022, only 9 months into the war, EU head and former German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen officially stated that over 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers were already dead, so Zelensky's 45k KIA figure is beyond absurd.

They lie mostly by omission, as they are more or less forced to keep their fudge factor low because their numbers can be verified (see Mediazona's tight tracking of Russian personnel losses).

NATO sources on the other hand, like the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs, get away with constant blatant lies as they cater to a captive audience weaned on Cold War narratives, and because the MSM today is far more compliant/complicit than in decades past (compare Vietnam War coverage to Ukraine).

Questions for you, or others who believe Ukrainian/NATO at face value.

What is your estimate of Ukrainian KIAs? Do you believe Zelensky's 45k figure?

Why is it that these figures are not closely monitored or fact-checked by the media in NATO countries, as opposed to say, during the Vietnam War when US losses were accurately reported??

I've never said I believe the Ukrainian/NATO numbers. I think both sides fabricate the number of wounded and killed for the other side for their own propaganda reasons. I don't have any data, but I doubt it's a million and I doubt it's 10,000 or whatever the low end number is.

Political agendas.

Russia has fired an enormously larger number of artillery / 155 shells, aided by drone and other targeting. Just the sheer volume has an impact, plus glide bombs.

The head of Euopean Command (an American) said two years ago the volume of artillery used was unprecedented going back to WWII levels.

To put it plainly, these claims of invulnerability are like so many of "the Fuhrer's promises about a new generation of 'Moscow's Wunderwaffe'," as several anti-Putin Russian military experts have described the claims made by the Russian president about these hypersonic systems.

"Some of these missiles are not even in service, and the Burevestnik blew up during its last test firing" they point out. "More fairy tales," said another. "More boasting about weapons you will never see more than one or two examples of if any."

"Putin - this is the man who oversaw the decline, dismantling and asset-stripping of a once mighty Russian industrial complex. Now he wants to say that same industry is still capable of performing miracles instead of taking responsibility for destroying it," he said.
