NATO, Biden, Jake Sullivan and Victoria Nuland provoked the war.

According to a special ops guy (on Shawn Ryan program) who has seen many of the cables and evidence, Biden - his only job as VP was Ukraine - Sullivan, Nuland, the State Department, the CIA and some Ivy League academics made bad decision after bad decision. They were aided by the EU, George Soros Open Society Foundation, and the neo Nazi ultra nationalists - all given cover by the press in what he calls "the greatest propoganda war ever". He claims all the protestors at a key event, when interviewed, said "I'm here because I got paid". (Feb 2014)

A famous phone call was intercepted and is available where Nuland is discussing who to insert when president Yanakovitch (sp?) is overthrown. Nuland also reportedly admitted to using $5 Billion from USAID to bribe people.

Their theory was that if we started an ethnic war in Eastern Ukraine, it would spark Russian citizens to remove Putin. And the whole thing backfired.

This special ops guy also claims we spent $5 Billion bribing people to go along with the plan, but when Zelensky took over at some point Nazis were in a position to take over five key government departments.

Russia didn't lose, and now we have the 'unintended consequences'.

Huge military cemetery in a city with a population smaller than that of Oakland. Most of the flags on top of the graves look new, they would quickly show signs of wear in the Ukrainian winters.



The main lie about the Ukraine war is the sheer scale of the carnage on the Ukraine side, over 1.5M dead soldiers.

Victor Davis Hanson recently said something about 1.5 million dead Russians. Not sure his sources, I know he was out of the loop and is ill, possibly fighting cancer.

I saw another snippet which claimed Ukraine (NATO?) was going to employ 20,000 robot soldiers. Propoganda?

Another piece claimed Russia was starting to have supply chain issues, unsure of the veracity.

The Dutch military intelligence service released an April 2026 assessment and claims Russia has racked up over 1.2 million permanent casualties in Ukraine, including more than 500,000 dead. They also claim Ukraine's toll sits at around 500,000 permanent casualties.

It appears they vastly understate the Ukranian KIA number.

Also vastly overestimate Russian KIAs...

If the Russians had that scale of losses, you would see a lot of resistance and forced conscriptions like you have everyday in Ukraine.

The US is insider trading transfer.

The EU is war money laundering.

It's so obvious and so few see it but go out and protest nonsense.

I think the US helping Ukraine against Russia was the right thing to do. But in terms of the our government being "moral" it was mostly by happenstance. This time it just happened to align with our interests.

With Israel our "interests" have not really been on the moral side, so I do not support our military aid to them. Though honestly, for a while I've wondered what we were really getting out of them as an ally. Even more so after they helped push us into war with Iran.

The cynical approach to boost our "interests" was to use Ukraine as a battering ram to weaken Russia, which we did, wrecking Ukraine and costing them 1.5M KIAs. This is clearly outlined in policy whitepapers like this influential piece from the RAND think tank, arming Ukraine being part of their toolkit to weaken Russia :

The moral thing to do was to agree with Ukraine about accepting the Istanbul peace plan in April 2022, one a few weeks into the war. That would have left Ukraine intact as the largest country in Europe after Russia, a much more beneficial agreement for Ukraine than what they will have to settle for within the next year or two after they no longer can sustain the war of attrition.

This being said, we are in agreement wrt Israel. I think our differences wrt Ukraine are due to a fundamental understanding in the history and cultural nuances there, along with a cold war mindset wrt Russia.

Unintended consequences: Russia will have two million plus war-trained, battle-tested Military. Same for tested and improved Military weapons and manufacturing.

Our MIC gets five or more years of replenishment orders, possibly a new $1.5 Trillion military budget, and new weapons systems with our special ops / other working hand-in-glove with Ukraine. The first Drone War?

Ukraine now claiming it will outfit 20,000 robots on the Frontline, but they don't look very nimble and seem to have limited firepower. Seems like a possible PR stunt.

China currently rearming Iran.

Ukraine seems to have closed the tech gap with Russia, drones being somewhat of an equalizer. They have copied the more successful Russian advances like the use of fiber optic fiber to guide drones, which makes them oblivious to electronic scrambling. They however lack manpower to field across the entire front going forward, and the Russian strategy so far is to constantly prod the whole line looking for weak spots.

The thaw started several weeks ago. The muddy season is over this week, as soon as the vegetation cover grows. The leaves and grass suck up the moisture from the ground. In the Fall, the mud season is the period after the leaves fall and before the ground freezes.

The war did last far longer than many expected, you have a valid point here, but the body count has been piling up, and a lot of the remaining draftable Ukrainian men aren't as motivated to go to the grinder.

Trump has repeatedly called out Germany, South Korea, and Japan, for not taking more financial responsibility for their defense as well their unwillingness to help with the Strait of Hormuz. These countries are also where we have the largest standing military presence outside the US.

There is some U.S. law (National Defense Authorization Act) that imposes limits on reducing U.S. troop levels in Europe.

The question in 2026 though is, why is NATO still pushing for a war in Ukraine where Ukrainians have been dying in grossly disproportionate numbers??

Among all the recent noise, Susan Kokinda noted the recent long phone call between Trump and Putin. The two reportedly share similiar views, and view Europe as pushing Ukraine to continue the war.
