I basically said the same thing in the other (Jake Tapper) thread.

You can have a fantastic track record as a CEO or CFO, but if you CANNOT COMMUNICATE to your shareholders, the analyst community, your executive team and employees, you have no chance at being an effective leader, and in Biden's case an effective candidate.

    Why do always make it about you? I was referring to a specific dynamic between Oski and G4R. Nothing to do with you but everything to do with the same back and forth involving oski.

    *At this point I'm fine with subbing someone in. I would vote for a military junta over tRump.
    I told a coworker this morning that if Biden croaked on stage and they cremated him and stuck him in an urn, that he'd still be 100x better than Mango Mussolini and I'd still vote for him. trump and his lackeys are a danger to the country. I just hope in '28 the dems can find a young, intelligent, charismatic candidate (Pete Buttigieg? Jon Ossoff?)
    I think most voters had dug their feet. For them, it is more a vote against someone than a vote for someone.

    However, for those small percentage of voters in key state (you don't really matter if you live in CA because it will never go for Trump) that will determine the election, this was a disaster for Biden.

    Why? Not because Trump was great. He was the same piece of **** that he always has been.

    But that's the point.

    Trump went in with a reputation that he was unhinged and dishonest. Biden went in with a reputation that he is senile and too old to be president.

    Did Trump amplify that reputation or did he at worst just keep it at that level? I think the format helped him in the sense that he was prevented from talking all the time or interrupting. People did not come out from the debate thinking Trump was worse than they thought.

    And I will say this, because I always criticize the Republicans for putting party and their own interest before the interest of the country.

    If they think Trump is as much of a danger to the country as they say and they saw the debate and still do not replace Biden out of protocol, respect, or their political future, they are no better. This Biden will not win, and they are putting their interest before the interest of protecting this country from Trump and even Biden.

    And if that's the case, they need to STFU about Trump or love of country. If this dithering old man is the best this party can put forward for governing, they don't deserve to win.
    The Dems problem is no different than the Republicans. Both parties are ruled by a non-centrist cabal that produces poor candidates. That is why they're stuck with Biden. The primary system and influence of money empowers the extremes on both sides and tends to reward bad policy/behavior.

    And for the record, I posted last night that I thought Newsom would be a more moderate (i.e., better) president than governor. So I tend to agree with what you posted above. However, because of his record he's not a strong candidate in swing states. He's probably the best hope the Dems have though I'm sure Hillary is plotting her return. But the power structure will make it hard to remove Biden.

    If you go back and look at helltopay's posts, all his predictions have come true except for one. Back in 2022, he predicted that in 2024, your collective TDS will be cured after the Biden regime indicts Trump and locks him up. As you know, this has not happened and TDS is still raging, stronger than ever.
