What's wrong with Geely/Volvo/Zeekr setting up plants in the US? They're excellent cars, and if they can be made here, it's a win-win for workers and consumers alike.

Car prices worldwide are coming down because of Chinese autos, markets that will be completely closed to Chinese manufacturers like the US will have much higher car and truck costs, putting us at an economic disadvantage.


Everything you say is true.
Tariffs limit consumer choice and increase prices.
Except that this is not what Trump's tariff policy is designed to do.
