They were easily duped when it came to things like no taxes on OT, grocery prices going down, lower energy prices, lower interest rates, tariffs being good for America, no new wars, etc.

Never mind that America is ranked 125th in literacy with a rate of literacy of 86%
America isn't that smart to begin with.

IF that were true, then you must concede that he is a mastermind genius. To be able to manipulate that many millions of people, twice often three times, would take a lot of brain power and savvy. That person must have an excellent bravado, be extremely likable and funny, and have advanced cleverness to outwit his detractors.

You've edited your post after I responded so I'll add this, I'm fully aware of the current struggles of education in America. If you haven't seen the movie "Idiocracy" you should check it out. Stupid humor but, sadly, the plot line isn't too far off

It's the kind of person that has no respect or integrity for his fellow man.
It is the kind of person that believes that there is a sucker born every minute.

He does not view people as human beings.
He views them as a transaction.

There's plenty of evidence to the contrary from regular, everyday people who have met him. People often speak about how he remembers names, kids, etc. He's either a caring human, a genius in order to be able to pretend when he doesn't have to, or maybe even both

I think it takes a degree of brilliance to get 70-80 million voters to vote for you, especially when you say/post the stupid-ass stuff that he says. Trump has a knack for taking things that would sink any other candidate and turning them into votes.

If it were that easy, tons of candidates would do it.
