I know what you're getting at and I mostly agree - this is a fight against American democracy and institutions...not a political fight.

The thing is, there are in fact far right libertarian types who have wanted government to fail and fall to destruction. It's been in the *********Reagan playbook since the 80s. The GOP have been talking forever about how no government is the best government, and they didn't care how they got it. Well they got their wish and the Bannons, Millers, Gorkas and the other Nazis in the GOP need to be held accountable. They committed HIGH treason. Convict them, then give them the death penalty. Of course if you only go after those who committed crimes, that's not partisan.

Given Bush Jr's plan, it seemed like their occupation strategy basically did one thing: it surrounded Iran. I suspect it was for containment purposes, but if Iran is out of line, we're positioned to nip it in the bud quick.
