This is kind of shocking..I wonder if these kinds of apparatus are being set up in the US.

Can you name people in the US being banned from buying tickets to US sporting events because of their social media posts? That's pretty despicable of the Premiere League, if true, but it sounds like another weird conspiracy theory based on one person's claims.

Quote:

The number of people being arrested for "online crimes of speech" have increased dramatically in London.
While arrests for aggressive, threatening or hateful speech on social media declined between 2010 and 2013, the numbers rose last year.

According to the Register, a total of 2,500 Londoners have been arrested over the past five years for allegedly sending "offensive" messages via social media. In 2015, 857 people were detained, up 37 per cent increase since 2010.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/arrests-for-offensive-facebook-and-twitter-posts-soar-in-london-a7064246.html

500 arrests per year in London alone, and that was several years ago. Posting wrongthink in Orwell's country is far more dangerous statistically speaking than doing the same in China or Russia.
I'm not asking about the UK. Minot proposed setting up a similar organization to fight these types of arrests in the US. I'm asking whether there are any arrests of that type in the US to be investigated.
No I didn't. I was wondering if these kinds of spy apparatus are being set up by professional sports leagues like the one that was spying on that woman. It sounds like its Premiere League doing it, but it could have been the team, not sure.

Conspiracy theory? Weird defense of what's happening there, that organization works in England on trying to protect people's right to speech there. It sounds perfectly plausible to me since we've seen these kinds of arrests that have been happening over there for quite awhile now. Pretty hypocritical of a team owned by the Saudi Prince though, I guess she's lucky she didn't get a trip to the embassy.
I see. I figured you wouldn't defend your suggestion that we needed to have a similar organization to defend sports fans being banned from buying tickets in the US..

Anyway, I didn't know that the UK arrests people for their social media posts. I'll drop this now as this isn't a hill I want to use my ammunition on.

Biden was one of the main actors in pushing authoritarian legislation like the Patriot Act.

Ok, that's not sounding right, but I'd like to know what sorts of social media posts were involved. There are levels of offensiveness. I dislike <XXX> vs Kill every <XXX>! .Minot's video talked to one person who was banned from buying Premiere League tickets and they were launching a major investigation into the Premiere League. It's their time, money and energy, but I'd hope they have more than 1 case and some proof. It doesn't make sense that they were spending very large sums of money to investigate tens of thousands of ticket holders to find a few people to ban. How do you even determine the social media accounts of all those people?

As for the rest of my post (the main part, not the aside you jumped on), Minot proposed setting up a similar organization to fight these types of arrests in the US. I was asking whether there are any arrests of that type in the US to be investigated.
"One example of an apparent violation was when Smith wrote: "It's like they're trying to trans the gay away. You're a young woman who likes sport? YOU'VE BEEN BORN IN THE WRONG BODY!!!! You're a young man who likes makeup and dressing up??? YOU'VE BEEN BORN IN THE WRONG BODY!!!! Make it make sense.""

Smith, the author of the online content, is herself a lesbian (biological) woman.

Conservatives were told to build their own Twitter after FBI operatives inside Twitter and other social media tech companies were censoring and shadow banning.

Is anyone else worried that Trump is going to dominate the vote of ai-generated people of color? Maybe these are the same ones who serve as the inspiration for every story of his that starts with "sir."

Props to Trump though for recognizing figuring out how to prolong the grift.

Remember how they were saying "After 5000 illegals enter the border will close"..that was the Biden "Plan". Turns out in his Border Bill, the border actually never closes lol. It's dead on arrival.

Biden's a mouthpiece, he doesn't have the stamina or mental acuity to even read the Executive Summary of anything.

This is Obama, Obama acolytes, the Globalist WEF, lobbyists, Sullivan, Schumer, Pelosi, and the Administrative State (SES).

Joe Biden watches Morning Joe every morning and calls Joe Scarborough. Staffers say whatever is on the show is the focus of the President for that day. Kamala Harris watches Fox's The Five in hopes of hearing somebody talk about her.

Yes, the Biden Administration, UN, and likely the WEF manufactured this crisis.

What other nation not at war has allowed 8 Million illegal aliens into their country in 3 years in the past 120 years?

The GOP base has proven itself to be activated by these sorts of manufactured crises. If you can convince people in Montana and Idaho to worry about made up migrant caravans, why would you ever bother with the business of governing which is much more nuanced and policy driven.

Does the GOP care that Trump let in a higher percentage of apprehended border crossers than Biden? Nope.

Does the GOP care that Biden has apprehended more border crossers than Trump? Nope.

Does the GOP want to do anything about the border right now? Nope.

The GOP is about their power above all else and pretending they care about the border is a means to an end.

While it is adorable that you spout a firehouse of falsehoods and misleadingly focus on percentage to bolster your weak argument, we should take into account that

"The number of illegal immigrants in the country has roughly doubled under President Biden. The United States had some 10.2 million illegal immigrants in 2020, and another 10 million have entered during Biden's presidency. If the 20 million illegal immigrants were all in one state, it would be tied with New York for the fourth most populated state."

There is a legitimate problem at the border . . . too many people showing up and overwhelming the system.

That said, it is "manufactured" in the sense that the people who could really do something to fix the problem have just decided to use it to play politics.
