I haven't studied it, but it's my impression that Wendy's has struggled with their overseas expansion in the past. I think it's been supply chain issues like finding a reliable source of fresh ground beef, etc. Still, I'm surprised they haven't been in Australia before this. I agree with their talking head. 10 stores sounds like a trial balloon. They are going need many more to make it worth their while.

I did like the part about "Wendy's is a American diner most of the day but breakfasts are distinctly European with French Toast sticks and Croissant sandwiches." Also the emphasis on Wendy's serving 6,000 calorie burgers. Maybe if you get a 6 patty super baconator with extra cheese and mayo.
