kam is not a dumb azz, he got a 3.5 gpa and kinda skeptical of schools that don't prepare u for life after football

yeah the bears are recruiting more high schoolers from the great state of texas than cali & that's primarily cuz the coaches & staff wanna eat the bbq brisket sandwiches at buc-ee's, u feel me?...plus the bearents & family friends are gonna show up in highland park on saturday november 30th for our annual acc rivalry game with them smu mustangs

the truth is that texas weather is nasty humid hot in the summer & freezing azz cold in the winter, the university of calveston is a tremendous opportunity to ball out in the wonderfully diverse & ideal climate san francisco bay area

the inside backer room is arguably the most unsettled position group heading into the 2024 acc season so the signing of 2023 ivy league defensive player of the year 6' 225 lbs liam johnson from princeton will be highly welcomed when he arrives in berkeley at the #1 ranked public university in the world this summer

this is a high football iq physical backer who is always around the ball with a relentless motor

copperhead innisbrook pga tournament 2nd round update:

despite only hitting 11 of 26 fairways in the first two rounds michael kim is rolling the rock beautifully en route to a 71 & 67 and is now 5 under par tied for 6th & only 1 stroke off the lead

can u imagine how many under par michael (living in houston these days) would be if there wuz a buc-ee's in palm harbor instead of just a chipotle?

2024 california golden bear spring ball: practice #3

1st day in pads as the biggest development in camp is 6'8" 305 lbs (his flagstaff high school coach tole me he weighed 250 lbs as a senior playing tight end) nick morrow (#52 in above foto) holding down the 1st team duties at left tackle backed by ender aguilar running with the 2s

saw nick play at thunderbird high school (shocky lived in the desert shadows apartments on 19th avenue across the streeet when he moved to the valley of the sun back in the day, lots of asu talent at the pool) & he's got more SPEED than anybody in the o-line room which coupled with his tremendous size means he's gonna be a key player this fall in the acc battles...credit to benji palu playing a key role in this recruitment

yeah victor stoffel is projected to participate in spring ball in a couple of weeks & will compete for the starting left tackle at that time, another possibility at the critical left tackle position (which protects the bears qbs blind side) is rush reimer (running with the 2s at left guard) or matthew wykoff (running with the 1st at left guard) sliding over

"Freezing" ass cold in the winter" is a bit of an overstatement. As a resident of the Central Texas Hill Country since I retired last June, I can vouch for the "freezing" part, but we only had a freeze (like 13 degrees, and maybe single digits in a few places) for about a week. And we had couple of weeks that got into the mid to high 30s. But 40s, 50, and even 60s is "cold" to native Texans, but as a Bay Area transplant, it seemed pretty mild to me, other than the one week or so when we had to put protective insulation sleeves around all of our exterior water pipes, and drip our inside faucets and the like. I have great new neighbors would were eager and happy to show me all of the ropes. So it will be a breeze next winter. It's been consistently in the 70s and above for a pretty good minute now, though. Sometimes 80s. 90s and above are coming soon.

cal's monster offensive line: the right side of the line with room leader tj session at right tackle & sioape vatikani at right guard is gonna be an elite tandem in the acc this fall

SPEED at wide receiver: there are 3 clearcut leaders for the starting lineup vs uc davis that are earning most of the 1s reps in early spring ball: trond grizzel (returning starter), tobias merriweather (notre dame) & mikey matthews (utah)...the battle for rotational playing time behind them is intense...fun fact: both j-mike & jeremiah complained about their usage (tunnel screens at the line of scrimmage) but the reality is that both guys could not create separation downfield in the vertical passing game, that's not gonna be a problem this fall

SPEED with the defensive backs: the teams fastest player marcus harris (idaho) is a lock for one of the starting corner back jobs alongside nohl williams, fast as **** ja'ir smith (san mateo college) is battling matthew littlejohn for the starting nickel nod & speedster Isaiah crosby (trinity valley college) is positioning himself to earn one of the starting safety jobs...no more of the independence bowl granite statue dbs not closing on the ball, them days r over

JAYDN ******* OTT: if u don't got 2024 season tixs, ur a ******* dumb azz, don't miss the magic of cal football

My wife had to fly out to Texas this winter from our tropical Pacific island home to oversee repairs to her mother's house east of Austin (Robert E. Lee County). Pipe's froze and flooded the house, and all the floors had to be replaced.

Major OL target. NorCal has some really good OL prospects for 2025 cycle. Mills, Jackson Lloyd (Carmel) and Champ Taulealea are all national level recruits and big.

Lol. I get you, Shocks. Also, I am closer to San Antonio than Austin (Comal County), but still only about a 30 minute drive to downtown San Antonio, and maybe like less than a 1 1/2 hour drive north to Austin (about like Oakland to Sacramento). So we seem to be right in that sweet spot that's too far North of the gulf to be threatened by hurricanes, and too far South/Central for the most severe winter weather patterns that Texas winters have to offer. AND I made the very short drive over to New Braunfels just yesterday to get a BBQ brisket sandwiches and a "Triple Meat" BBQ sandwich from New Braunfels' Buc-ees. The best of ALL worlds, Shock.

this is in direct contrast to this year's men's basketball team which is the most unlikable collection of self entitled players in my lifetime of any cal sport...casual fans will stay stupid **** like rodney brown & grant newell got nba upside (they don't, a client of mine is a nba organization) and that devin askew & nd okafor will be missed when the truth is that all of them (other than askew) threw away degrees from the #1 ranked public university in the world while missing development workouts, even showing up for games incapacitated, incessantly whining thru their dads, dealers & handlers re: playing time & nil dollars and most worser of all, not cheering for their teammates...yeah **** balenciaga but also **** these guys who dishonorably wore california golden bears jerseys

how did it turn out update?

the following former 6 scholly basketball players transferred out after the 2022 season, this is how it played out for them in 2023:

joel brown: averaged 7.6 ppg at iona while improving his 3 point shooting to 37.1% but still shooting a crooked azz 45.2% on free throws which es no bueno for a point guard with the ball in their hands late in tight games...great young man, visited with him as the guest of 4th gen bear multiple times at football games, haas biz school grad

jarred hyder: averaged 10.3 ppg at cal poly on volume shooting with a crooked azz 32.5% on field goals...berkeley legal studies grad & pursuing a mba at slo

lars thiemann: averaged 6.7 ppg at loyola marymount & cut his turnovers in half...berkeley nutrition science grad with highest bear gpa on 2022 roster

sam alajiki: averaged 4.4 ppg at rice, another fox protege with a crooked azz stroke shot 53.3% on free throws, left berkeley without a degree

marsalis roberson: did not play for uc davis but is majoring in human development, left berkeley without a degree

obinna anyanwu: did not play for anybody this season

yeah shocky trusts coach madsen's roster construction decisions & yeah the monster is gonna monitor devin askew, rodney brown jr, grant newell, nd okafor & monty bowser as they pursue their nba aspirations with limited basketball skills & bad attitudes while leaving berkeley with the legacy of the most unlikeable team of self entitled bad news bears of all time of any sport

the university of california, berkeley=#1 ranked public university in the world (should not waste highly coveted admissions slots on dumb azzs with no academic purpose)

coach madsen & the staff are actively recruiting 6'8" 220 lbs power forward brown transfer #31 nana owusu-anae from burlington (halfway between toronto & niagara falls) canada

this is a physical team leader/captain that battled for 14.7 ppg, 8.8 rebounds per game & a facilitating 2.1 assists per game this season that is respected by his teammates for his unselfish style of play

nana is an ivy leaguer & not a dumb azz, he got a near 4.0 gpa in high school & wuz #1 in his graduating class for the highest gpa (called the class of 1892 award)

owusu-anae might be tired of cold azz weather, now the whole team is here on the west coast in cali



the university of california, berkeley=#1 ranked public university in the world (including freezing azz ontario)

all american/heisman trophy candidate jaydn ott is the ******* GOAT

running with the 2s in spring ball are alabama transfer kadarius calloway, my boy javian "the jet" thomas & north/south bruiser justin williams-thomas

byron cardwell has not appeared yet during spring ball


and so with that being said the bears running back room is the deepest position of ELITE talent in the program
