Peterson also matriculated and graduated players. At Udub as a head coach, he had the highest APR in Division 1. The APR rate at B State went from 58% when he took over to 85% his last season. This used to be a factor in recruiting. When was the last time you heard a P4 head coach (as opposed to Shocky) discuss academic success?Shocky1 said:— Michael Frisina (@michael_frisina) May 15, 2024

minnesota gophers offense scouting report:
when the gophs burrow their way to the left coast on saturday september 13th in a marquee acc vs big 10 battle they will be starting the worst offensive line in power 4 football along with ucla (averaged an anemic 3.07 yards per rush in 2024 with no new infusion of elite talent, the odds of the jet getting seriously injured next season are 50/50)
minnesota will be starting 5 new (at different positions) trench workers this fall to a line that averaged a disappointing 3.72 yards per rush in 2024 despite a 2nd round nfl draft selection to houston (aireontae ersery), a free agent signed by green bay (tyler cooper), a ohio state transfer out (phillips daniels), a northwestern transfer out (martes lewis) & graduation (quinn carroll & jackson hunter) and the new o-line did not stand out during 2025 spring ball
rb1 darius taylor rushed for 986 yards in 2024 but will be challenged to replicate that production with fewer holes to daylight & a brand new qb1 to replace all big 10 max brosmer
the bears d under the new shared defensive coordinator scheme gotta opportunity to dial up the pressure from the 1st series to stress a patchwork offensive line & an inexperienced qb that will likely not be savvy enough yet to audible his way outta harm's way
football is a violent sport (let's FUMIGATE the gophs qb1 & rb1 with PRESSURE)#

enjoyed a lovely dinner at the intimate & charming frascati's tonite on russian hill with family & friends on a beautifully clear fall evening in san francisco after a fun football gameday in berkeley
https://instagr.am/p/BYg9b1WARg4
after dinner while we were strolling thru little italy in north beach i wandered off by myself to check out an old lady of an undeterminable ethnic background methodically checking the street's garbage cans for recyclable cans & bottles
i say hello, she smiles & keeps working
so mr world traveler says hello in a dozen+ languages, she smiles & keeps working
so i pick up a few cans in the gutter, crush them with the heel of my dress shoes & put them in her shopping cart, she smiles & keeps working
i'm done talking (still hoarse from the game this afternoon at memorial) so we just quietly work together collecting cans & bottles...our pace develops a cadence & rhythm of two hearts working together
shay & taylor drift over to see what their crazy azz dad is doing now & then they start helping her too, the old lady still hasn't said anything...the only sounds are of cans being crushed, seagulls squawking & a police siren in the distance
finally it's time to leave so i give her all my cash in my pockets (just a little south of $1,000), she barely looks at the money & is instead eyeing my green plastic perrier bottle in my jacket...so i give her that bottle too...she smiles broadly now & says something in a language i don't understand
as we are leaving, i take one final look back over my shoulder to see if the old lady is gonna take her cash home & call it a night
nope, she is still working
her indefatigable & quietly stoic work ethic reminds me of mothers everywhere who tirelessly work to support & keep their families together...she is my mom, your mom, ivan rabb's mom, jaylen brown's mom, oscar frayer's mom, dwight tarwater's mom, she is everyone's mom
i love you, mom

yeah drove down the 101 from north scottsdale to tempe today at the speed of light to check out the softball team's 1st day out for the 2025 season
beautiful weather in the low 70s as asu's facility which is framed by palm trees shimmering in the outfield, during the 1st game warm ups the bears stood in front of the dugout standing on 10 paws yelling FUN cheers led by this year team's emotional leader kaylee pond who is 100 hundo the person you would want riding shotgun next to you on a cross country drive to every buc-ee's in this beautiful country!!
starting line ups: all american shortstop acacia anders is out with messed up ribs which resulted in potential all acc home run slugger elon butler moving from 2nd base to ss and impressive true freshman mia phillips (who runs the bases with the electric speed of desean jackson returning punts at memorial stadium) starting at 2nd base
pitching: this team's 2025 campaign is gonna be determined by the pitching, this team is gonna score a lotta runs & the defense is solid with closing speed in the outfield...anna reimers looks incredibly fit kinda like an olympics skiing cross country gold medalist from a nordic country & after that it's gonna be a wide open competition...annabel tepperson is the early leader for the #2 role pitching from ahead of the count most of the time, freshman miranda de nava notched 7 strikeouts in closing out the 1st game after a jittery welcome to d1 softball, ashanti mcdade brings heat (gotta work on throwing more strikes) & ryann orange got a high upside
home runs: this team will lead the acc & potentially even the nation in home runs, it's an exciting fireworks offense to watch led by hitting coach brandon telesco...lagi quiroga got elite bat speed & led off the 1st game with a high ball to left field that kept soaring over the fence, impressive true freshman mia phillips followed her with a drilled homer to left field & who wuz so pumped up she rounded the bases in around 10 seconds, my favorite player alyssa "the ponytail" herrera (her moms is a school teacher) did her patented happy dance after her dinger, team leader mika lee continues her remarkable ascent as an improving player every season & kaylee pond's pumped up kicks home run trot!!
3rd base coaching: coach chelsea spencer is a remarkable head coach that has built a family 1st culture of young ladies that are academically ambitious & that care about each other but at the same time chelsea is still running the bears outta innings with her reckless & unsuccessful decisions to advance runners including asking her catcher to steal & being thrown out by 5 feet...honestly she should consider coaching 1st base, her poor decisions (the bears needed runners not an extra base) coupled with some not clean fielding/ball handling (lack of awareness of a runner heading to home plate) & an miscalculated cut off relay throw to home plate wuz key factors in the 2nd game loss to maryland
randi roelling: the arrogant georgia transfer & her overly involved little league dad's departure is a loss in the talent department but a plus for this year's team chemistry...this is kinda like mendoza & his sorry azz dad, good luck with nando & roelling's kinda worthless degrees when competing with berkeley & stanford grads in the highly competitive global economy that favors the well educated when they are 30 years old
saturday's doubleheader: early morning game with utah to be followed by a rematch with maryland, shocky is gonna catch the utes game before departing to handle his coaching duties with michael kim at the phoenix open in the former bears quest to win his 2nd pga tournament title

2025 ncca men's golf regional tournament at montreux: 1st round update (round not completed)
after a 6 hour delay due to high winds (38 mph gusts) in the sierra nevada mountains, the bears did not control their ball flight trajectories on their shotgun start opening holes (an unreal combined 10 over par): one par, two bogeys, a triple bogey (7 on a par 4) & a quintuple bogey (10 on a par 5)
apparently the bears don't got no tokens for the practice range ball dispenser & thus played their opening holes without any warm ups and/or mulligans, ay caramba
result: the bears are in 13th place outta 14 teams (top 5 teams advance to the ncca finals at la costa which is almost next door to shocky's beloved legoland) when play resumes tomorrow morning
