Since our current 3.7% is only slightly above our long term average inflation rate of 3.28%, I'm not overly concerned at this time.MinotStateBeav said:Keep being blind to it, that will fix it.Eastern Oregon Bear said:You obviously have no idea what uncontrolled inflation looks like.MinotStateBeav said:
US gov't is about to start the push about "Russian Disinformation". Be prepared. The Hillary Clinton Interview with Psaki really is pushing that yesterday. Fox News yesterday started in on it Trey Gowdy:"I can't understand this sudden push to stop Ukrainian funding, what is going on!!!???" The former intel host says....wait for it...."The russians are starting their disinformation campaign!" lol. The economist wrote an article about Russian Disinfo coming. So is the NY Times. Wooo boy. This is going to be insane again. The FBI is warning Facebook about it again too hah. The articles of course name their sources as "US officials".
We're 33 Trillion in debt with uncontrolled inflation of the dollar and if we don't keep printing money for Ukraine, its because the Russians.
Oakland is much safer than Tijuana, Juarez, Acapulco (used to be a great vacation spot), and Celaya. Why is there a thread on it?
It's not pretty. No expert on the past, but since lockdowns it seems like EVERYTHING has graffiti. Jobs continue to move away, Mayor Browns new housing west of the freeway helped a little, but not enough. Crime up, police understaffed, two major sports teams left, and Lake Merritt is a disaster. The grocery store up in the Montclair area is getting hit with frequent theft.
I ventured into some of the Flatlands recently, one area seemed to have two abandoned cars EVERY block and many roads a disaster. It's a Latino city now, which is part of the underlying graffiti issue. It appears there are numerous unlicensed taco stands / trucks across the city, undercutting legit businesses and schools continue to close due to enrollment declines. Pot use is everywhere, Lake Merritt, city streets, and in active in-use warehouses.
Sounds kind of like the Oakland I remember from the late 80s and early 90s before the tech bubble made it seem safe to a lot of people who had no clue.
