1-Ukraine has long been using ambulances and other civilian vehicles and buildings for military purposes.

Wow, this sounds exactly like Israel's justification for targeting civilian areas in Gaza. Yet you don't accept their explanations when they do it. I wonder why?

Because over 98% of Ukrainian KIAs were military. The Russians have used over 10 million shells, tens of thousands of drones and missiles yet only around 2% of their victims were civilians. They clearly do not target civilians.

This war is nothing like the Gaza war, where the Israelis have not only targeted and killed thousands of health workers, first aid workers, journalists, but even went out of their way to killing these civilian workers along with their families.

Look, if the Russians were anywhere near as bad as the Israelis, I would have been the first to denounce them. The difference between your perception of the conflict and mine is that you have a cultural bias against Russia and Russian culture that has been ingrained since the Cold War days. This is not unlike pro-zionists who buy into the Israeli narrative because they are culturally biased against Arabs and Muslims.

The difference between my perception of the conflict and yours is that I'm actually looking at what Russia is doing and you are relying on preconceptions about American foreign policy being bad.

And yeah, American foreign policy often is bad! But not everything is our fault. Russia makes choices too.

I'm not relying on preconceptions, my points are based on analyses by serious people like Mearsheimer and former Russian Ambassador and US intel chief William Burns, who has stated that we have forced Russian intervention by crossing their red lines:

Bibi had prior knowledge of Hamas attacks from several sources, and the IDF stood down for many hours while the Hamas attack was ongoing. They wanted a casus belli to ethnically cleanse Gaza.

Yes, just as Putin makes up reasons to re-conquer Ukraine as he always wanted to.

Donald Trump spoke to Zelensky.

Mr. Zelenskyy has to do one thing," Trump said. "He has to stop knocking out diesel fuel in Russia. We spoke to Mr. Zelenskyy about it. There are plenty of other targets. Don't hit diesel fuel, because that's hurting, that's hurting the world."

My reading comprehension isn't bad for only scoring 1000 on the SAT.

Thanks.

So, if I tell my kid to come home by 7pm and he doesn't, does that mean he now holds all the cards?

I have no comment here on your reading comprehension nor how it relates to your low SAT.

No one holds all the cards here. The war is a stalemate.

But only the aggressor can decide to end it.

The aggressor here is highly dependent on its sponsors and funders, from the weapons used, to the funding and the satellite/targeting info.

One of the main problems with the perception of this war is that the true extent of Ukrainian losses is still largely hidden.

"Zelensky's strategy is national suicide. Waging a war of attrition is therefore national suicide, not valor. Yet this is the strategy that the Zelensky government pursues. There is a feeling that the western political establishment would rather see Russia burn than Ukraine saved. Our daily losses are treated as an acceptable price for that end."

Mediazona did do a solid job covering Russian KIAs, up to last year when they've bumped up their numbers from around 140k to 250k today IIRC.

Ukraine's official KIA number is something like 60k. The real number is somewhere north of 1.5 million...

Rigged, it's from a private Ukrainian pro-war organisation. Same sources that claim that Ukraine's total KIA is 55,000.

The results from reliable international polls like Gallup directly contradict their numbers:

How do you manage to rationalize the numbers from that Ukrainian institute when the trend as tracked by Gallup has clearly flipped in the other direction, quite dramatically so, honestly :

I wouldn't, but that's because Russia is an authoritarian state where pretty much all polling is suspect. I can't say the same about Ukraine (despite the dumb claims that it's run by Nazis who elected a Jewish president).

1. I do not admit it in this case, because as far as I can tell KIIS is an independent and fairly respected polling outfit in Ukraine that does not always show rosy numbers for the government. Other than it being a Ukrainian org, what is the evidence that their polling is fake?

2. Even if it was, you fools have been up in here posting Russian propaganda for years, so I figure turnabout is fair play.
