By the typical Yogi standard of evidence, I guess this means you now endorse all of Mr. Ferguson's views.

He's also pro-Ukraine proxy war. Thus "Facts don't care about your feelings."

Sometimes you might consider the possibility that the cheerleaders pointing out flaws in the strategy of their own side of the argument impugns their position far better than any critic from the other side can.

Sometimes you might consider that possibility when you criticize me for making the exact same kind of argument.

In case people have been wondering where all of that Russian propaganda on social media has gone from Donald's friends... Ukraine just hit a number of "Yandex" Russian data centers.

Im no longer seeing "Boris" or "Natasha" replying in the comment section on my Facebook feed.

Lolz.

So much for the cease-fire that the Orange Buffoon brokered.

Putin has already broken Trump's 'energy ceasefire' with attack on power plant, says Zelenskyy | World News | Sky News https://share.google/cTJFH0I2IvepYO1aG

Sinaloa Cartel mercs getting modern warfare experience with the Ukrainian army.

" Sinaloa cartel sicarios just filmed themselves on the Ukrainian front, shouting greetings home while wearing full AFU kit. Mexican officials keep insisting "it's only Colombians."

Watch the video.

These aren't idealistic volunteers but actual cartel foot soldiers using someone else's war and Western funding as a free advanced infantry and drone academy. While Kyiv burns through money and bodies, Sinaloa gets real combat experience in FPV drones, fiber optic guidance, and modern small unit tactics for the price of a few mercenary contracts. Colombians die for wages. Mexican criminal networks treat the front as paid training.

Mexican social media is already panicking about the "veterans" coming back. Intercepted FPV shipments and fiber-optic spools in Sinaloa itself show the skills transfer is already happening. When these guys start dropping explosives on government vehicles or police helicopters with the same methods used near Kharkiv, Mexico City won't be able to shrug it off.
This is what "support Ukraine" actually funds right now: a pipeline that upgrades Latin American cartels with peer-conflict combat experience. The blowback lands in Mexican cities and on the U.S. southern border."

Maybe this has something to do with Zelensky telling the US to f off and using U.S. stuff go launch missiles at Russia's diesel export depot right after the U.S. negotiated a deal with Russia to buy diesel fuel and after the U.S. asked Ukraine to stop targeting energy?

IMO if this government thinks that taking military capability away from Ukraine and cutting deals to help Russia's economy is going to convince Putin to end the war, they are fooling themselves. I'm not sure they actually are that dumb. I think Trump just likes authoritarians and likes Putin.

The Trump administration wants to get out of Ukraine because they see the Middle East (Iran, Yemen) as a bigger priority, along with potential conflict with China in the Far East, in good part because Ukraine has no military solution, is headed for a loss, and Russia has not been weakened to the point where there could be regime change. That is the analysis of leading policy wonks and China hawks like Elbridge Colby.

If they are simply leaving Ukraine to Russia's mercy, then that is certainly a choice.

Again, I think they are fooling themselves if they think this will end the war faster.

The current administration has been pushing for peace in Ukraine for a long time. They are motivated to keep energy prices down which in turn motivated them to ask Ukraine to stop attacking energy infrastructure and to negotiate a diesel deal with Russia. The US allows Ukraine to use its tech to target Russian targets. If Ukraine is going to keep going rogue, surely there must be some sort of consequences. Zelensky doesn't just get a blank check with no strings attached.

Europe has bought $320 billion in Russian fossil fuels since the start of the war, a lot of which through third partis like India or Turkey.

Trump likes Putin in the same way Kennedy liked Khrushchev or Nixon liked Brezhnev, these people were grown ups who used diplomacy to good measure, kept proxy wars at a low level and even averted nuclear war through maintaining open channels.

The idea that Putin is any worse than these former Soviet leader is incredibly dumb, the Ukraine war is being simplistically sold as a morality tale with Putin as a cross between Hitler and Stalin and Zelensky as the lovechild of Churchill and Luke Skywalker when in fact it has been a mostly one-sided war with over 1.5 million dead Ukrainian soldiers, currently being expended at a rate of 27,000/month.

There are two types of Ukraine war supporters today, naive types who bought into this Hollywood storyboarding, and cynical bast***s who want to weaken Russia using Ukraine and MIC types benefitting financially from this multibillion grift.

You have to be, at some level, a hater of Russia to buy into the Stava Ukraini narrative, and I am not.

Most wars are sold to the public via long-running vilification campaigns of target countries, you see that in droves with the Mideast wars and the rampant islamophobia that helped build consent for these wars.

For Russia, it's pretty easy, you just have to rehash Cold War propaganda.

Looming ahead is the upcoming confrontation with China, getting primed through a modern version of the yellow peril.

TBH there aren't many children dying in this war, however Ukrainian soldiers are being sacrificed at an astounding rate, a rate that is not likely to be sustained for many more years.

In the end which I believe will be sometime between 27 and 29, Ukraine will have to accept roughly the same conditions they could take today to end this war.

Russia played it very conservative for years, focusing on military, avoiding many classic targets. After the Alaska pullback and NATO / UK hitting all the warehouses, they took the gloves off. Look at Kiev now and bridges being taken out. Ukraine is now 50% senior citizens. Thete is no.plan for victory, only more Bentleys for Ukraine (2nd only to London and Paris).

Again, I think this is the wrong approach and only emboldens Putin to keep pushing for more territory. But obviously I will never convince the Russia fans here.

I am as much a Russia fan as you are a fan of murdering children.

Not sure what that last part is supposed to mean, but okay.

It is fairly obvious what I mean.

I thought you were suggesting that I was a fan of murdering children in some roundabout way.

Anyway, not sure if you specifically are a Russia fan. Cal88 is.

You directly replied to me, disagreeing with me, and then said oh well not sure I can convince the Russian fans here to agree, yada yada yada. For what it is worth, I don't really think you are a fan of murdering children even if your pro war stance in Ukraine results in such.

Ah, so you are accusing me of being in favor of murdering children. Thanks!

He quite clearly says the opposite.

Whatever, this back-and-forth is pointless. I don't agree that my stance on Ukraine is resulting in child murder. I oppose Putin's war that has caused all of this death.

Many serious US policymakers and analysts have stated that crossing known Russian red lines would precipitate a civil war in Ukraine and Russian military intervention. Your framing this as Putin's war dismisses this reality.

You are also completely dismissing the fact that most Ukrainians want to end the war through a negotiated compromise with Russia. A new poll just confirmed the previous Pew poll:

" New poll on Ukrainian attitudes on the war finds a strong majority 57% support an immediate negotiated peace with Russia and territorial concessions

Only 21% support fighting until the Donbass is returned to Ukrainian control

Most overwhelmingly favor a national referendum on peace, rather than allowing the president or parliament to decide

The survey was taken by Rating Group on October 3-5

It follows a Gallup poll this June showing 66% of Ukrainians favoring an immediate negotiated cessation of hostilities"

Your position is in line with the 21% Kyiv nationalists who want to keep fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian, and out of line with the great majority of Ukrainians.

Please take your Russian propaganda to the Pravda Network. I am sure they will love you.

No one forced Putin to invade. That was still his choice.

Also, a lot of those analysts that made these predictions also stated that Russia would not try to conquer Ukraine so there has been plenty of "wrong" to go around.
