You're embarrassing yourself.

Yeah, I can picture an over the hill wanna-be surfer bragging about his porsche and his craft beers using "bro". Of course, I am the one digging.

Cool story? Don't you realize how old you are?

Oh, so now I'm a wanna-be surfer now?

Are you sure that you also dont post under the name BearGoggles too?

He claimed that I was a Cal Aquatics Recruiting Insider.

Hahahahahahahahahaaaaa!

Yeah, we all use "cool story" and "bro" at our age.

Now, your retort is that I am BearGoggle?

OK, bro. Cool story.

You're clearly wound real tight.

You dont sound like you have much of a sense of humor.
Bet you arent very fun at dinner parties.

Is that what you gossip about on your private messages to strangers?

You seem like a blast. An old white guys bragging about knowing MAGA reporter on fox business news, using bro and cool story and flaunting the cars that he drives and the UC Berkeley degree he received (well, I think most of us have that, you know) and gossips about strangers on private messages with other strangers.

A real blast.

After writing all that nonsense on private messages about Dajo and how stupid he is, you are now buddies. What a waste of time you two are. And makes personal attacks then like little wimps whines about it. Just do us a favor and STFU. No one is impressed.

Well, since you still havent gotten around to admitting how RIDICULOUS the statement that you made was, I dont think any of us are really holding our breath for you to walk it back.

At this point, you might as well make it your signature.

Did I say all Americans did? I said you need basic financial education if you were employed and unable to make a few millions over the last 10 years.

I think you need to walk this statement back.

This might just be the most outrageous post in the history of Bearinsider.
Talk about living in a Ivory Tower.

Have you seen your signature? I have a hard time believing that the person who flaunts his wealth the most is the person writing this. Self-awareness is not clearly a strong attribute among those on OT

Youre hysterical.
I dont flaunt anything here except for the Beer that I drink.
No photos of lifestyle, cars, homes, vacations, dining, etc.

But go right ahead and deflect from making one of the most IVORY TOWER posts ever on Bearinsider.

"Anyone who was employed during the last ten years and did not accumulate at least a few million in wealth needed some basic financial education."

that's a bold statement. Let's peel back the onion. The average US household earns $70,000/yr and has expenses of $67,000. If this "anyone" you speak of invested that extra $3000 each year for the last 10 years, even if the investments were solid; wouldn't even have $100K. where'd you get the $1Mill? could it be that you pulled it out of your ass?

clearly it was not a well calculated number but something I just threw out. Honestly, as I mentioned, it was a bit misguided in thinking a few million would not be controversial. But I would be curious to understand what someone maxing out their 401(k) with company match since 2008 would have now assuming investing in just S&P 500 index. It would be a lot more than $100K but admittedly much less than $2m. And if you are spending $67K while earning $70K, that is no way of building wealth. Before I retired, I had never saved less than 20% no matter how little I made.

that's why the vast majority of people in this country have no opportunity to build wealth. I'd imagine most who spend time on this board are doing just fine. Most others are not. I'm an entrepreneur. I've had years where I put tons into investments and years where I put nothing/lost money.

fair enough. i made a lot of money independent of investment from my law practice and being in-house, but most of my wealth came from investment. different journey, and I guess a bit presumptuous on my part. wasn't a real number but a statement I made as part of a post i was typing on my phone while eating snacks. not really well thought out - which is a trait shared with most posts here.

Sure, being calculating is part of politics, but I'd like to see a lot more "competent" and less bs. Show me your vision for all Americans, beyond "Florida is where woke goes to die!" Hard no on DeSantis. What a phony. I would prefer Gavin Newsom in a heartbeat.
