Four more years of lies and grift.

President Trump:
* Promised to cut the deficit but added $8 trillion to it.
* Promised to build a wall; completed only 458 miles out of 2,000, mostly repairs.
* Promised Mexico would pay for the wall; they didn't.
* Promised a new healthcare plan; it never existed.
* Promised a middle-class tax cut; primarily cut taxes for the rich, leaving the middle class to bear the burden.
* Promised not to play golf; made 250 visits to his own golf clubs, costing taxpayers $150 million.
* Promised to increase economic growth by 4%; didn't achieve it, President Biden did.
* Promised an infrastructure plan; had none, President Biden signed a massive one.
* Promised to hire "the best people"; fired 3/4 of them, then labeled them the worst.
* Promised to reduce prescription drug prices; didn't happen, President Biden did.
* Promised to win the trade war with China; it cost about a quarter million jobs.
* Promised corporate tax cuts would benefit workers; corporations used the money to buy back stocks instead.
* Promised to revive the coal industry; more coal jobs were lost during his presidency.
* Promised to drain the swamp; He was the swamp, January 6th insurrection and his Fake Electors conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election proves it.
* Promised to release his tax return, didn't.

The only group Democrats made progress with is white men and women (+1 and +2%) and people with a Bachelor's... They maintained the margin for people who have graduate degrees.

The only increase for Democrats was rich white people.

Democrats lost ground with every single other demographic. Literally.

Just think about what party you are backing, and what demographics you think you are fighting. Democrats can gaslight all they want, but the policies they are pushing are only bringing over rich white people.

Maybe... Just spit balling, to win, look at why all those people switched to Trump. It's not ignorance, it's not bigotry (unless minorities are the new white supremacists)... It's because Democrats have abandoned their platform in favor of extreme progressivism.
As we see on this board, some of our friends on the left can't accept any of what you are saying. In their world everything is awesome, progressive policies are actually mainstream / centrist and Harris lost (only) because of racism and misogyny.

Assuming Rs keep the House we should get Reconciliation bills for spending, another on revenue and another on the debt (can do 3 max per / for each year). In this way Rs can do everything and anything they want financially without a single D vote.

Oski, that's my point! Trump won because he fearmongered. I repeat. THIS IS WHY HE WON. You trying to say, "nah, he's not gonna do that". Seriously? Now? You've been defending this guy for the better part of 8 years. Now you're trying to offer nuance? wow
No, Trump won because D's 4 years in power gave us economic hardship and increased crime / homelessness. This is demonstrated in any number of polls indicated 70% of people saying the economy is bad and the country is headed in the wrong direction. Harris' answer to those strong headwinds was to tell us Trump is a Fascist and to promise unfettered access to abortion. Those are the reasons she lost.
Disagree. Crime is down. Violent crime is down. DOJ stats prove this out. The economy is good. Inflation is down. Unemployment is down. But, none of these economic benefits seem to be filtering down to the working and middle class. But, relitigating this is pointless. I would have to agree that Trump framed it correctly.

Crime is not down. Inflation is starting to taper after 2 years. Stock market is good. Corporations doing well while small business suffer. Unemployment is down relative to where is what during a once in a lifetime pandemic. Homelessness is up.
003, crime is down. Inflation has been on the decline for the past two years. From a high of 9.1 in July 2022, to where it was in October 2.4. Homelessness is up but do you honestly care about homeless people? Eh, they're gonna get bulldozed anyway.

I would say that we are in the midst of a post truth society. Social media, partisan news outlets. Your assertion about crime. Crime IS down. Stats can be provided. But it doesn't matter. Because your belief that crime is up is based on emotion. Or Haitians eating pets. Didn't happen. Emotion makes it true.
Ok tell yourself crime is down, while it's not down. Blue cities essentially stopped reporting crime and people stop calling in crime to the police because there's no point waiting 6 hours after you've been robbed or beat up just for the cops to tell you there's nothing they can do but make a report that will go nowhere.
Selective self reporting! Ah the scourge of the US Crime Data Reporting System. Oh, no!

Karen: But Gunther, how are you going to protect me from these Haitians that are going to swipe my doggie when I go for a walk?

Don't worry honey, Trump has a concept of a plan to get rid of these Mexicans, rogue Venezuelans and Haitian cannibals soon enough. They'll be on the train to Otay Mesa for detention and removal.

Ok, you're doing this again. Post truth. My own stats. My own echo chamber. Crime is down.

https://www.voanews.com/a/fbi-data-shows-violent-crime-down-for-a-second-consecutive-year-/7795119.html

And we are not talking about just grocery prices, we are talking about the price index as a whole.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/273418/unadjusted-monthly-inflation-rate-in-the-us/

You're proving my point. Truth does not matter. If the inflation rate is down, to you it really isn't. If the crime rate is down. No, it really isn't.

But this is pointless. Again, congrats on your victory.

Crime is NOT down. You're ignoring the fact that people are choosing to not report many crimes because it does no good to do so.

Absolutely, brother! I think we need to remember that people stopped reporting crimes once we hit around February 2021. Before then, almost all crimes were reported. These idiot losers don't get it and they never will. It's all too logical.

MAGA! Let's go!
I believe this is sarcasm. In that case, I'd like to ask you a question if you truly believe that Prop 47 had/has no impact on the extent of crimes that go unreported to police Do you believe that Prop 47 had an impact on 1) police morale, and 2) which crimes/perps the police have chosen to pursue (i.e., violent crime vs. property crime) and which to, essentially, "look the other way"? Because I can tell you for a FACT that the answer is "yes" on both of those cases. And, if that is the case, it is only human nature that if people notice certain types of crime are not being solved by the police, that they would learn to report those crimes to police to a lesser extent, a lesson learned either from direct experience or from the experience of their neighbors. There is PLENTY of anecdotal evidence that people are reporting crimes to a lesser extent.

Not to mention that some police forces are understaffed right now due, in part, to "defund the police."

Yes, it can be done. And it must be done. It should be called Boxcars to the Border.

See, when Steven Miller takes over as Border Czar, deportations will be expedited. Project 2025 calls for expedited removal of all illegals, not just at the border, but into the far interiors of the country. And it doesn't matter where they are - in school. In churches. They're out. We need to end this habeus corpus crap because they aren't citizens anyway and it doesn't apply to them.

Project 2025 also will create expanded detention centers. So on any given day, up to 100,000 illegals can be held and deported.

Eliminate VISA programs. This one will be huge because we can finally get the DREAMers out. We can end the TPS program which will get 700k out of the country and get the Ukrainians that fled the war to go back and fight. We should at least give them a rifle or something as they leave. And stop all H1B's - that will get the Indians out which will be a breath of fresh air for people living in Pleasanton and Livermore. Naturalization rules will also change so if you're an illegal and have a baby, its not an anchor baby anymore.

And we get the local police and sheriffs to finally get authorization to go on raids. Or if a Haitian is arrested for eating a cat, they will check immigration status and deport (I'm kidding. They already do this. lol)

There so much more like sending the military to the border and work verification programs. I'm still not sure how, when they do sweeps from, say, Los Banos to Visalia. Who's gonna harvest all those almonds? Eh, farmers will do a deal.

Yes, Tequila, it can be done. Get on it.

At this point I think it's likely that the Dems win the AZ and NV senate races? The analysts I've seen seem to see it that way.

(And by the way, the count taking this long isn't suspicious or anything; these states have always taken forever to finish the count. California is the same way.)

Interesting how much ticket splitting, which was thought to be a thing of the past. Dems winning Senate races in potentially four states won by Trump.

I say don't stop any of it. If America wants this, then let them have it. Restrict the press. Restrict abortion and contraception access. Put Bibles in schools. Deport the illegals and the Muslims. Put RFK in charge of all health policy. Put Stephen Miller as border czar. Herschel Walker as missle shield chief. Eileen Cannon to the Supremes. Cut taxes on corporations and tax the middle class and poor. Make deals with Russia, North Korea and China.

Don't stop it progressives. America wants this. Let it happen.
I propose we abolish the minimum wage. Let those red states REALLY enjoy the fruits of their labor!!!
Make it all a "gig economy" with no employers. No salary or worker's comp or paid sick leave or health insurance or paid vacation or dental coverage or retirement and DEFINITELY NO PENSIONS! (What, are you HIGH?!!!) Just independent contractors playing the losing "race to the bottom" in wages. Bottom's the limit! (Or is it?)

Problem is, once we've created the world's biggest shanty town, will anyone have the energy or wherewithal to do anything about it?
