Which such a large starting bracket, they should use a combination of group finishes and power rankings to populate the brackets, it would be ridiculous to have almost all of the favorites in one bracket half.

Canada romping in their game against Qatar, up 3-0, now playing 11v9. The first red card was not deserved on a dive by the Canadian attacker, the second however on a very harsh tackle that broke Ismael Kone's tibia and fibula bones clean, ouch.

I missed the Kone injury. That sucks big time. I was just goi g to ask which team would lose an important player to injury as the tournament moves on.

I think Canada otherwise had their Best Day of soccer EVER!!!

Biggest win by a CONCACAF team in WC history. Canada run up the score, I thought they could have laid off up 4-0 at which point goal differential no longer mattered for them, but they kept coming instead through extra time.

The injury was weird, in that the tackle was not particularly aggressive. A doctor thinks that there was an underlying condition that might have weakened the player's bones.

This was interesting to watch live because I had no inclination that he broke anything just from watching the tackle. It seemed fairly normal and inane. Then the feed showed his face and his dangling lower leg.
