That's a really gratuitous oversimplification by the guy in the tweet.

Many/most of these 3rd world countries do not have the governmental infrastructure to reliably provide the info that's used to vet people. That is likely applicable to all people who were allowed in from Afghanistan during Biden's withdrawal. It makes complete sense to circle back on everyone that was let in from A; it's reasonable to pause on future admissions until the system catches up with past errors/admittees.

Not sure how to read this other than that he believes certain peoples are inherently bad/inferior and will inevitably cause ruin. Never mind that surely people once said the same thing about Miller's own Jewish ancestors. It's what he believes, and he's running immigration policy right now.

He uses the word "scale". He's talking about integration into American culture and values that are not always naturally easily compatible with western values, not the badness of individuals.

That's an extremely generous reading of his comments. IMO it's quite clear from Miller's statements and behavior that he also believes in the badness of individuals from these places.

It's also clear that some folks here (like movielover) agree with him on that. I do not, and will continue saying so.
