Patriotism runs deep. You should be thankful for those recruits, not condescending.

Why?

Dumb questions don't deserve responses.

It's a volunteer force from a reliably red constituency. Sometimes you get what you vote for. Lost wars and reduced benefits.

In othercwords, uneducated gullible people that have no options.

This is consistent with what my high school buddy told me after a few years in the Marine Corps

Sadly, this is the ugly truth.

Overall U.S. military enlisted recruits: roughly 3 - 6% are college graduates (bachelor's degree or higher) at enlistment.

Outside of a few months in the fall of 2001 the U.S. military has not been in the business of protecting me. At the moment they are once again making me less safe.

Stupid claims don't require strong rebuttals. They are very easy to discredit.

You just never do it.

Censorship of Exhibits:
The National Park Service (NPS) has been directed to review, modify, or remove interpretive panels and exhibits dealing with slavery, racial hostility, and civil rights. Examples include removing a display detailing the enslaved people held by George Washington near Independence Hall in Philadelphia and removing the iconic "Scourged Back" photograph from Fort Pulaski
National Monument.

Signage and Literature Flagging:
Dozens of signs and markers at historical parks such as Harpers Ferry and Stones River National Battlefield have been flagged or altered to tone down references to white hostility or slavery as a primary cause of the Civil War.

Commemorative Days:
The administration rolled back fee-free public access days at national parks previously designated for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth.

Federal Agencies and Cultural Institutions

Targeting Diversity Programs: Sweeping rollbacks of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives across federal agencies have led to the purging of training materials, military service histories (such as temporary removals involving figures like Jackie Robinson), and website archives detailing Black achievements.

Museum Oversight:
Federal cultural institutions and museums, including the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture, have faced directives and executive pressure to alter or reframe exhibits that the administration labels as "divisive".

Restoration of Monuments: The administration has pushed to restore and protect Confederate monuments on federal lands, framing the effort as a return to traditional, patriotic education.

Defense leadership under Secretary Pete Hegseth has dismissed multiple high-ranking Black and female officers and blocked or delayed the promotions of over a dozen senior minority and female candidates.

High-Profile Removals:
High-ranking military leaders, including figures like Air Force Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr. (former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff), have faced targeted career disruptions or oustings as part of the administration's pivot away from inclusive policies.

Erasure of Military History
Website Purges:
The Department of Defense executed wide-ranging sweeps of military websites, temporarily or permanently scrubbing pages detailing the contributions of Black service members such as the Tuskegee Airmen and Jackie Robinson's military career before facing public backlash and restoring some archived material.

Memorials and Culture:
The administration moved to pivot the military's cultural focus away from progressive initiatives, including exploring the return of Confederate memorials and stripping historical focus on minority accomplishments.

More accurately stated, if you chose to do so, you would be arguing the facts rapidly assembled by AI that rebutted your contentions purportedly based on facts.

I am interested discussing facts, not opinions.

"Lazy" is labeling facts summarized by AI "slop" without pointing out the inaccuracies or falsities.

And I don't feel the need to provide facts to counter your hateful, bigoted opinion of a large group of people.

"Partisanship is closely linked to Christian nationalist views. Most Republicans qualify as either Christian nationalism sympathizers (33%) or adherents (21%), while at least three-quarters of both independents (46% skeptics and 29% rejecters) and Democrats (36% skeptics and 47% rejecters) lean toward rejecting Christian nationalism. Republicans (21%) are about four times as likely as Democrats (5%) or independents (6%) to be adherents of Christian nationalism…..

Similarly, attitudes toward former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden are highly correlated with attitudes toward Christian nationalism. Just one-third of Americans (32%) hold a favorable view of former President Trump, while two-thirds (65%) have unfavorable views of him. More than 7 in 10 Christian nationalism adherents (71%) have a favorable view of Trump, including 43% who hold very favorable views of him. A majority of Christian nationalism sympathizers also hold favorable views of Trump (57%), compared to 29% of skeptics, and 8% of rejecters.…

Only about one-third of Americans (32%) disagree that white supremacy is still a major problem in the U.S. today, compared to 65% who agree. However, majorities of Christian nationalism sympathizers (53%) and adherents (57%) disagree that white supremacy remains a problem. Among Christian nationalism sympathizers and adherents who are white, disagreement rises to nearly two thirds (64% and 66%, respectively).

A majority of Americans (53%) believe that "generations of slavery and discrimination have created conditions that make it difficult for many Black Americans to work their way out of the lower class," compared to 45% who disagree. However, 66% of Christian nationalism sympathizers and 70% of adherents reject this idea. Disagreement rises to more than three-quarters among white Christian nationalism sympathizers and adherents (77% and 83%, respectively)."

You never want to have a rogue country with a bunch of nukes.

Oh wait, that's us now...

The best approach we've had for that, in regards to Iran, was Obama's diplomatic approach. The Trump / Netanyahu military approach is making us less safe.

Even the Trump apologists cant rebut this.

Anyone can rebut this because it's not factually true.

Do you feel "safer" now that our Strategic Petroleum Reserve has been run down to a 54 year low?

Do you feel "safer" now that we have literally run out of Patriot Missile inventory?

Why is Zelensky asking for Patriot missiles if "we have literally run out of Patriot Missile inventory?"

Yawn.

The Pentagon has also expended nearly 80 percent of its terminal high altitude area defense missile interceptors and roughly half of its Patriot interceptors, according to CNN.

On Sunday, Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) said he was "concerned" that the president was not aware of the munitions shortage.

"I do have concerns that the president said he was not aware that we had a shortage of weapons like cruise missiles and Patriots. That's not a good … thing," Bacon told host Ed O'Keefe on CBS News's "Face the Nation."

By the way, it takes 2 years to build a Patriot missile at a cost of roughly $4 million each.

Perhaps the Trump apologists can tell us why we are safer now than BEFORE the war with Iran .

MAGA!

Do you understand the difference between still having "roughly half of Patriot Interceptors" and having "literally run out of Patriot Missile inventory?"

You made both statements in the past 24 hours.

Do you realize that I am not surprised one bit by your petty and pedantic reply?

No matter how you slice it, this war with Iran has slashed our Patriot Missile inventory.
That's a FACT.
