left to right, jabari "livin' the dream" bird, jaylen "chief noc a homa" brown, tyrone "unbreakable" wallace, jordan "don't **** with me" mathews, kameron "no dribbling" rooks & kingsley "protecting the jewels" okorah

10,906 true california golden bears fans screamed their azzs off at their palace with several thunderous unreal throwdowns that electrified haas pavillion with high voltage nor cal energy, the bears arguably got the strongest home court advantage in the nation right now

jabari bird is fulfilling the potential that his mom, dad & sister always knew was there in his heart, the bird man of alcatraz with relentless physical d along with 23 points on 9-14 fgs, 7 rebounds, 4 assists & zero turnovers

the team stayed together when oregon state made their run in the 2nd half, guys huddled up & stayed together with no fear in their eyes

kam & the king are being coached up by coach jones, they finished buckets without dribbling & just going up strong to the rim...their best basketball is all ahead of them

ivan, it's pretty obvious your teammates don't know stick talk or really any sign language such as pointing your fingers/hand upward at the basket, so let's problem solve this...at practice this week before your trip to washington you gotta verbally (and loudly) demand the ******* basketball along with the stick talk, ok?...nobody feels your pain more than me, we're in this together

yeah, 18 missed free throws isn't gonna win any games on the road but that can be corrected...the bears gotta bring a lotta energy into seattle, we gotta lotta enemies up there

justin labagh, a former bears player & the most winning (87% victories) head coach in the history of college basketball, told me about his recruitment of 2014 pac 12 mvp/nba 1st rounder (20th pick overall) delon wright to city college of san francisco

labagh has the same barber in the city as portland trailblazers dorell wright who was then with the golden state warriors...dorell tells justin about his younger bro who wasn't really recruited by anyone out of leuzinger high school in los angeles

labagh says yeah, let's do this so delon enrolls in san francisco & averages 10 points, 8 boards & 4 steals per game in the rams high octane highly balanced offense...nobody wants delon at the next level until justin convinces larry to sign him & delon ends up in salt lake city

how come delon didn't end up in berkeley?

labagh told me wright would have not been a good fit academically (2.5 hs gpa) at the world's #1 ranked public university

justin is not only the winningest coach in the history of college basketball in building ccsf into a national powerhouse with their explosive 40 minutes of pressure but he also develops his guys academically in sending his players with full rides to 4 year colleges...he sends more guys to 4 year schools with full rides than any other junior college coach in the nation

yeah, justin labagh is true california golden bear

sat this afternoon with justin labagh, his basketball insights are informative & educational

justin told me that tres tinkle (left handed) has a strong tendency to attack off the dribble to the left & that maybe overplaying him/forcing him to the right might work

city college of san francisco got only 1 loss this season to moorpark jc in a game that the rams best player & labagh were thrown out of...ccsf could once again win the california state championship under labagh...more importantly half of his guys this season will get full ride schollys to 4 year schools for next year...as much as criminal dana altman represents everythig that is wrong with college basketball, justin labagh embraces the tireless work of mentoring/devloping life skills & creating lifetime opportunities for his guys

bears are smart#

criminal dana altman's heart of darkness oregon (20-6/9-4) basketball enterprise lost 76-72 in palo alto to stanford (12-11/5-7) as the cards favorite hungarian rosco allen euro trashed the ducks for 25 points

colorado (19-7/8-5) defended their coors lite arena 81-80 vs washington (15-10/7-6) as the buffs got a 20+ rebounding advantage over the huskies including 20 offensive boards...the bears gotta pound the ball inside against the huskies, they got no bigs this season since robert upshaw took his interior defensive/shot blocking presence & bongs to the nba

virignia (20-5) lost on the road 63-62 to duke & couldn't answer the question bitch where?

davidson (14-9) got edged on a last second tip in 60-59 at george mason

st marys (20-4) knocked off wcc opponent loyola marymout 75-60 at the gaels tiny crack house in moraga

the donut boy of tuscon chowed down a dunkin' donuts variety (including a chocolate glazed maple bar with fuschia sprinkles) box, he's multiple that way

Second half looked like a dunk off between Brown and Bird. Bird's flying tomahawk slam over Tinkle (who fouled him but was not whistled) was only topped by Brown's poster dunk on Olaf.

Probably two of the top 25 dunks in Cal history.

tyrone, as someone who has talked with more than a dozen nba scouts during the pregame (45+ minutes) warm ups both at haas & at every road (except boulder) game this season along with sitting/discussing at games with knowledgeable former bears justin labagh, lou richie, richard midgley & theo robertson it's kinda funny to hear their assessments of your skillset vs the subsect of posters on this board that are talking **** about you

your returning from a broken right hand so quickly tells me everything i gotta now about your commitment to your team & your truly unbreakable (in a samuel jackson kinda way) spirit...you are one of my favorite bears of all time, my respect for you extends far beyond anything you have ever done on a basketball court with a basketball

every single one of your teammates & coaches is thrilled with your early return to the court, that energy resulted in the high velocity clownpunking of the breaking bad oregon basketball enterprise & the more methodical victory over the oregon state beavers...despite not practicing for a couple of weeks, you played thru the fatigue & rust to make major contributions not only offensively attacking the basket & defensively in limiting the mercurial gary payton ii but also providing precious senior leadership...apparently your teammates & coaches don't know as much as the fans that are talking **** about you in terms of what you bring to this team

t-wall, this is a special group of guys (we all got our own unique flaws but together we fit together like a bag of raw uncut diamonds from sierra leone) but make no mistake about it, we gotta lotta energy but we also gotta lotta enemies too

that's just part of the deal, we gotta love it, not hate it...misinformed dumb azzs are just a part of life

I have to add my perplexity: Diamonds from Sierra Leone: (a) are mined under the most brutal conditions in the middle of a ghastly civil war; and (b) used by one side or the other in that war to buy weapons and continue to fund the slavery in which they hold the population of that unhappy country, not the least of which are the child soldiers forced into military slavery in the service often of the warlords who murdered and raped the other members of the families of those children.

when johnny dawkins is eventually fired in palo alto, stanford basketball icon mike montgomery's recommendation of wayne tinkle will make him the frontrunner for that head coaching position

assisant coach gregg gottlieb would love to return to the bay area instead of living in the freezing azz northwest

both tinkle & assistant coach thompson's highly talented sons tres & stephen jr are high gpa student athletes who could transfer to stanford from oregon state with their dads...such a hire would also effectively end ethan thompson's recruitment too

coach jones is coaching up both k(rooks) & the king, checkmate, they are now not dribbling the ball (which usually results in a turnover) when attacking the basket...our bigs are finishing strong

the king got a perfect shooting 7 points on 3-3 field goals a free throw vs the beavers & defended the basket with a commanding presence, he's doing a better job of anticipating & establishing a strong defensive position of just standing with his hands straight up without body contact

yeah, the king could be the pac 12's next robert upshaw (without all the dope), he's got guts

Hickman's JSerra team picked as dark horse to win the Division final ...

"Costa Mesa perhaps got the toughest draw of all Orange County teams. The Mustangs, who finished second in the Orange Coast League, play JSerra of the Trinity League. JSerra finished fifth in the six-team Trinity League but was good enough to win the championship of many other leagues. . . . JSerra, if it has its game together, can beat any team in this division"
