justin labagh, a former bears player & the most winning (87% victories) head coach in the history of college basketball, told me about his recruitment of 2014 pac 12 mvp/nba 1st rounder (20th pick overall) delon wright to city college of san francisco
labagh has the same barber in the city as portland trailblazers dorell wright who was then with the golden state warriors...dorell tells justin about his younger bro who wasn't really recruited by anyone out of leuzinger high school in los angeles
labagh says yeah, let's do this so delon enrolls in san francisco & averages 10 points, 8 boards & 4 steals per game in the rams high octane highly balanced offense...nobody wants delon at the next level until justin convinces larry to sign him & delon ends up in salt lake city
how come delon didn't end up in berkeley?
labagh told me wright would have not been a good fit academically (2.5 hs gpa) at the world's #1 ranked public university
justin is not only the winningest coach in the history of college basketball in building ccsf into a national powerhouse with their explosive 40 minutes of pressure but he also develops his guys academically in sending his players with full rides to 4 year colleges...he sends more guys to 4 year schools with full rides than any other junior college coach in the nation
yeah, justin labagh is true california golden bear

ESPN: "Jaylen Brown was putting on a dunk clinic. His best was our Dunk of the Night. @calmensbball"
...but what did Jaylen Brown do after what the Pac 12 Network said was the Best Dunk of the Year?
no trash talking, no in-your-face gestures ... he just calmly walked to the line and completed the 3 point play

as someone who has talked with more than a dozen nba scouts during the pregame (45+ minutes) warm ups both at haas & at every road (except boulder) game this season along with sitting/discussing at games with knowledgeable former bears justin labagh, lou richie, richard midgley & theo robertson it's kinda funny to hear their assessments of your skillset vs the subsect of posters on this board that are talking **** about you
your returning from a broken right hand so quickly tells me everything i gotta now about your commitment to your team & your truly unbreakable (in a samuel jackson kinda way) spirit...you are one of my favorite bears of all time, my respect for you extends far beyond anything you have ever done on a basketball court with a basketball
every single one of your teammates & coaches is thrilled with your early return to the court, that energy resulted in the high velocity clownpunking of the breaking bad oregon basketball enterprise & the more methodical victory over the oregon state beavers...despite not practicing for a couple of weeks, you played thru the fatigue & rust to make major contributions not only offensively attacking the basket & defensively in limiting the mercurial gary payton ii but also providing precious senior leadership...apparently your teammates & coaches don't know as much as the fans that are talking **** about you in terms of what you bring to this team
t-wall, this is a special group of guys (we all got our own unique flaws but together we fit together like a bag of raw uncut diamonds from sierra leone) but make no mistake about it, we gotta lotta energy but we also gotta lotta enemies too
that's just part of the deal, we gotta love it, not hate it...misinformed dumb azzs are just a part of life
because at the end of the day we got who we really want beside us, right?
