look, shocky got zero interest in wut threads fellow zony kyion grayes wears this saturday at memorial stadium, he is much more intrested in becky g's PONYTAIL/EYELASH game, got it??
Lyons 36 month listening tour: Year 1: crickets Year 2: crickets Year 3: we feel the MWC aligns with our academic mission of relegating all revenue sports to be non-revenue.
Lyons has been on record stating it is of utmost importance that Cal be successful in P4 football.
Agreed but if he doesn't make any real changes for two years and ACC collapses, a generic statement will come out acting like it was their decision to get relegated. Just watch ("we are thrilled to join a group of universities that share the same mission of athletic and academic success, albeit at a much, much smaller scale" - AD Knowlton).
Lyons was just with the Regents for a full day this week in meetings about specific athletic financial needs. He is being extremely proactive where it counts. You should look into those details and facts before making silly uninformed statements about what you believe he's doing or not doing.
Cal can clinch bowl eligibility with a win. But it does not guarantee a bowl invite. They are likley to find a bowl with 6 wins. But 7 is the more likely number of wins to guarantee a bowl. Cal is not eligible for the ACC bowl slots. They are still involved with the former P12 bowl tie ins. That means 6 games.
Oregon is likely involved with the CFP barring a complete collapse. ASU, Colorado and WSU are eligible now. UW and Cal sit at 5 wins. UCLA, USC and Utah all are at 4 and can get eligible with 2 wins. OSU can as well but Cal boatraced the Beavers and they have difficult remaining games. UA still has a path at 3-6 but has difficult remaining games and the donors are already passing the hat for money to possibly buyout their HC.
Stanford of course has 7 losses and will not be eligible. Cal would love for Colorado to ultimately win the Big 12 and qualify for the CFP. That would potentially open up a better bowl slot for Cal. Cal needs to win tomorrow, beat Stanford and then play loose in Dallas vs SMU and try and spoil SMU's season.
If Cal ends up at 6 they could very well end up in Shreveport again. The program needs a better bowl destination than that. Many of the bowls are early in the bowl cycle and finals would once again be taken during a good part of bowl prep. The Sun, Alamo or possibly the Holiday bowl would be better for the players and program.
lol waiting for shocky to go ballistic about a positive budget in the presentation. At least he didn't mention the practice facility
rkt, keep in the mind the con artist is the only athletic director in the united states of america who has zero social media presence/turns down all media interview requests, rents in the bay area while living outta state and that had NEVER been to california until his interview with christ
the athletic department right now is hemorrhaging $50,000,000+ with the reduced acc revenues & going thru the roof travel costs to the east coast for 30+ teams with no financial gameplan or even discussion in the Knowlton Knows Nothing Notes
the california and national elections confirm the trend that the current #1 ranked public university in the world's future funding will be significantly reduced from government bodies & that it will either have to grow donations thru builders of berkeley (of which athletics/school spirit is the pipeline to school connectivity) or see all departments budgets severely slashed with a steady erosion in the quality of education
Over the next @UCBerkeley Chancellor’s tenure, the annual payout on Berkeley’s endowment will surpass annual funding by the State of California.
lyons made a huge mistake when he asked jimbo to participate in the donor zoom call re: raising funds for all the non revenue sports, it's been described to me as a really poor "timeshare sales pitch" with a "really unlikeable toy soldier"...after the mark fox contract extension of the worst basketball coach on planet earth, nobody is gonna trust the con artist to just waste their money
bottom line, knowlton is not only financially illiterate (cannot read a financial statement/use power point) & a pathological liar (who has lied for years including to even madsen re: shovels in the ground for the basketball practice facility when it's not even listed on the campus capital projects list) who underfunded football & basketball for years in sharing christ's disdain for these sports while surrounding himself with other worthless bureaucrats like the lazy azz markeisha (who is protected by dei protections for failing employees & who stubbornly refuses to offer FREE tixs to all students despite haas continuing to be a cold empty place on gamedays for both the men & women bb games) & his appointed #2 the truly evil as **** jenny
the department's abject failure to run a balanced budget via rightsizing the # of unsustainable sports teams is resulting in the borrowing of outrageous sums of money from the central campus which will NEVER have the future revenue flows to repay the debt (keep in mind the athletic dept is not the federal government, it cannot print money)...this financial information has not been readily/transparently shared, the department has stonewalled me at every turn which has required relentless public information requests by shocky in order to find the financial truth
lyons will either allow cal athletics/and the university to sink into oblivion with knowlton (who is one of the highest paid athletic directors in the nation & is contractually protected thru 2029) or he will replace the con artist with berkeley grad andrew "football first" mcgraw...if this happens dan mogulof will be the central figure in this critical reorganization for which there is no other choice
but right now the lyon is sleeping on pride rock (today's amateur hour presentation to the board of regents wuz embarazzing w/ non proofed slides/graphics & a current $50,000,000+ deficit, using 2023 #s wuz intentionally misleading & very disappointing that the berkeley chancellor would be a party to such worthless bureaucrat deception), keep in mind that rich's experience in the real world wuz as a organizational consultant for goldman sachs & NOT a bro of wall street making deals/getting **** done
as berkeley's oppenheimer once famously said "theory will only take you so far"
alky, lyons sat there at this week's board of regents meeting and allowed knowlton to use 2023 financial data (which includes full pac 12 revenues) instead of the actual current financial data (which shocky has unearthed thru relentless public information requests) which shows the athletic department is hemorrhaging $50,000,000+ a year with NO financial gameplan at this time to rightsize the ship aka balance the budget & reduce the # of sports teams
the fact that lyons would go to a board of regents meeting (just like the FAILED zoom call to raise funds for the non revenue sports) with both the worst athletic director in the nation AND the evil as **** jenny (who honestly should be in jail for her role with the suicidal women's swimmers) tells me there's a very good chance that rich is more about innovation talk than actual meaningful corrective change
well stated 6956, another potential bowl game during berkeley finals the week of december 9th thru the 13th no es bueno
an almost new year's bowl game in late december gives our student athletes the full opportunity to fully focus on the rigorous finals examinations at the #1 ranked public university in the world & also permits the program to utilize all the ncca allowed maximum # of practices (which essentially becomes an extra spring ball)...both the sun & alamo bowls put the university of calveston in another home game in the targeted fertile recruiting footprint of the great state of texas
non clueless athletic directors horse trade bowl games behind the scenes but not the con artist, the bears need to WIN OUT!!
https://instagr.am/p/CYNB8dRP1wS fun fact: my nyc daughter taylor is tole all the time she looks like madison beer, one of shocky's primary goals in life is for someone (preferably a curvy brunette yoga female with a PONYTAIL) to tell him that he kinda look like a substitute yoga teacher at modern yoga or something
syracuse recruiting pitch: come live in the freezing azz northeast almost to canada & then every summer go to a swimming pool party at the city recreation complex with other low gpa ugly azz dudes in a curvy brunette yoga female free environment!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this year the only Pac-12 bowl that is early in the cycle is the LA Bowl. Everything else (even Shreveport) is Dec 27 or later.
Of course, if the former Pac has more than 7 bowl eligible (assuming Oregon goes to the CFP) then a 6-win Cal could be tossed into the "pool" of at-large spots and also wind up with an early bowl game that way.
sycasey, thx for posting the 2024 bowl schedule, apparently both the las vegas & independence bowls have been moved back to later gameday slots in december unbeknownst to the monster!!

Attending meetings, saying "go bears", singing Bear Territory before the other team comes back from 25 down does not equate to true action.
Where are the tangible changes? Should have made some this year if he is an innovation guy.

The mandate that all men's programs have to move be fully endowed is as big of a Cal Athletics move since I guess Barbour was about to drop some sports, but I would argue more direction setting, and not just a short term band-aid statement.
with his official visit to georgia pushed back to the week of november 23rd due to the extremely long flights from the islands to the deep south, jks may be an unofficial visitor tomorrow at memorial stadium for the acc showdown with syracuse
the university of california, berkeley=#1 ranked public university in the WORLD
2025 smooth 6'3" 178 lbs wr tavian mcnair from corona centennial is gonna official visit berkeley june 13th

May being the key word. His game tonight is at 7:30 Hawaiian time. If tomorrows game were at night I would feel better about him making it in. If he does come though it suggests he is really serious about keeping his commitment to the program.
The timing will make it tough for him to get here. But not impossible.
dumb azz scheduling move (stanford's final game of the 2024 season will be played at san Jose state's tiny stadium), these well attended (hundreds of fans for both programs) games should be played at a neutral site like the city park behind the winchester mystery house with 9:00 am kickoffs in order to not conflict with the silicon valley 8-9 years old girls playoffs schedule or something
2024 transfer portal opens monday december 9th thru december 28th, this will be a captain insano evaluation/recruitment period for the cal football staff with ZERO ******* sleep!!
fully expect marshall cherrington & his team to do a deep dive on every stanford (after the success with the cards engineering grad barrett miller) & ivy league (after the success with penn's liam johnson) grad transfer portal entrants
gpas (and RESPECT for players/their families) matters in berkeley#
lyons not only allowed knowlton to use 2023 old financial numbers to deceptively mislead the uc board of regents this week but he also didn't intervene when the con artist not only failed to mention the current $50,000,000+ deficit (which is requiring institutional support, usually loans from the central campus) but also the 2025 currently unfunded $20,500,000 nil salary cap for ncca p4 institutions

community service request (national be kind to ur neighbors week): claire may need a ride to the onondaga county sprouts (and probably urgent care) at 2:00 pm east coast time tomorrow, can u do her a solid??
video devices are NOT gonna be permitted at this event, sorry mr boeheim
despite playing the brutal (the rest of the course is relatively scoreable) par 3s in 4 over par, michael kim played the par 5s in 3 under par en route to a 71 & is tied for 45th...heading into the weekend michael is currently projected at #118 (started the tournament at #116) in the fierce battle to being the top 125 to retain the golden tix pga tour card for 2025
james hahn could not birdie his final hole of the day & despite a solid 69 missed the cut by a stroke & is flying back to the mainland
yeah the best thing (other than the beautiful white sand beaches with yoga classes & a lotta bikinis) about bermuda is that the primary form of transportation on the tiny island is scooters, shocky like to drive at the speed of light disregarding all stop signs & ****!!...the only way life could be better then is if shocky had a substitute yoga teacher PONYTAIL that would float in the tropical breezes!!
shoski is NOT a good driver (slim wadie refuses to let him drive on golf/cal roadtrips)#
fun fact: last friday nite in winston-salem from the pregame warm ups to the liam johnson game winning ice in his veins anticipatory jumping the route interception this wuz the most FIERY & DEMONSTRATIVE cal sidelines during the coach wilcox cerebeal era of football, talking about players, staff & coaches!!
one of shocky's lasting memories of the 2024 california golden bears football season will be david reese telling the mouthy wake student section behind the bears sidelines to **** OFF in every ******* imaginable way!!...u would've had to been there to appreciate it, his rant wuz EPIC!!
to be honest with u this team will play better tomorrow against syracuse if they don't reflect the personality of the stoic head coach but rather the tough as **** senior leadership on this ******* football team!!
break some chairs & tables & **** tonite at the claremont!!
How often a QB avoids sacks (pressure to sack rate), and when they do get sacked the average time before they end up getting sacked. Devon Dampier has been INSANE this year at avoiding pressure #CFB#CollegeFootballpic.twitter.com/xBZxvxWXrX

berkeley drop out femi with the unnecessary (spearing the qb in the backside 2.5 seconds after he released the ball) late hit costing the bruins a redzone interception which results in a huskies touchdown

Right now I'm having another brewski poolside at the Claremont trying to take the edge off.
Look it's become painfully obvious that everyone in the program (players, coaches, staff and even Bearents) are reading your ****. So let's make a deal, ok?
I will tell Coach Bloesch to dial up a PITCHOUT to Jaydn during our first offensive series tomorrow and you will quit telling the guys to order in room adult movies and then charging them to my room, ok? My room account has already been charged 37 times tonight for "Curvy Brunette Yoga Females Doing Reverse Cowgirl," this needs to stop immediately!!
You know I grew up with a controlling dad and was not encouraged to be expressive without any social filter or guardrails like you, that's just the way I'm wired. Trust me, I'm trying to be more FUN on gamedays so the team can play fast and mentally loose in tight games but the truth of the matter is that my sphinchter tightens up in 4th quarter barnburners!!
But Shocky you're just as messed up as me, right? Do you really think think there's a UNICORN that's a curvy brunette yoga female that can make a tasty bowl of miso soup with extra tofu that wants to hike up the mountain with you and your doggy dogs and then take afternoon naps with them on the Cloud and then wants your fashionista advice regarding clothing, accessories including jewelry & even hairstyles for late nite dining at Nobu Malibu?? Good luck with that dream, pal.
Anyways Coach So'oto and Coach Longwell are thrilled that you no longer think I need to hire a full time Special Teams Coach this offseason. In fact Vic and Ryan told me to tell you that when you're on the field tomorrow during pregame early warm ups that you're more than welcome to take some 2nd team snapping reps after the Bird.

cal's monster class OFFICIAL analysis of the transfer portal departures:
congrats to all the berkeley grads, the only non berkeley grad to transfer that would've started this season wuz ironically not a scholly player in pwo kicker mateen bhaghani
players in the 2 deep: ben coleman (asu, been injured but starting now for the sun devils), kaleb elarms orr (tcu, buried on the depth chart in a mediocre d) & femi oladejo (ucla, would be funny if the nor cal native entered the portal after this season with a westwood degree & returned to cal)
not in the 2 deep: j-mike sturdivant (ucla) & jeremiah hunter (washington) both lack the necessary SPEED to create separation to be difference makers in berkeley unless the bears are losing & dbs are playing soft cover
and yeah far too many dumb azzs with no football upside at any level walked away from berkeley degrees in order to chase delusional dreams of future nfl paydays at **** academic skools, lotta dudes gonna be waking up at age 30 living in mom's basement wondering where the **** did they go wrong??
multiple sources have indicated it's unlikely that cade uluave is gonna play today, it's gonna be hunter barth & liam johnson at inside backer, both have already made key turnover hits/interceptions this season
