Lions-Packers=last game played. Since it is on NBC, where they do player intos, I hope both quarterbacks say "Cal". But Rodgers will probably say "Butte C.C."

I can't wait, even if one of the two has a very bad night, it is going to be great. Announcers have a HUGE opportunity here with all the relevant storylines. Each qbs ties to Cal, high flying offensive minded college coaches. Their sort of opposite starts in the Pros only to find themselves together in the same spot, fighting to come back and make the playoffs at pivotal points in their careers. The list goes on and on. Of course the TV guys could fumble and just talk about the weather.

Dont worry, any coverage will be negative towards Cal.

I hope Seattle loses earlier in the day so one of Lions- Packers goes to the playoffs for sure.

Not to worry, the guy who says "Kale" now works for the 49ers and won't be on the mic for this game.

True, beware the typiCal scenario where Seattle wins and Detroit wins and both qbs stay home.

Ah as should have been expected the karmic punishment extends further, whereby the Rams and McVanus who scapegoated Goff make it impossible for Goff to go to the playoffs by being the losers they are now, even if Goff manages to beat the Packers.

So I hope for a Rodgers - Goff shootout where Rodgers wins.

It's going to be great tomorrow night. Seeing Goff and Rodgers in the Sunday Night Football introductions expressing pride in their alma mater.

I'm sure I'm a bit biased because I at least wanted the Lions to get a chance, but the officiating was pretty good egregious in favor of the Seahawks. The running into the kicker nonsense call. The personal foul agains the Rams on a clean hit when Smith was still in bounds. The no call on multiple holdings, and the no call on intentional grounding all seemed to be intentionally bad calls. Despite ALL of that, the Seahawks still tried to give it to the Rams. Mayfield has no chemistry with his receivers yet. It showed. That was so ugly. Both teams are embarrassingly bad. Rough for Goff but will sleep well tonight instead of lending my eyeballs to NBC.

But Herbert seems like a cool surfer dude with a good arm and lots of courage (he plays injured).

When Goff has a good series, crickets from Collinsworth. When Goff throws low, he gives a speech.

"C" is for captain and the patch changes depending on how many seasons the player has held the designation, which are carried from team to team. Gold "C" is for 5 years I believe. Before that there are little stars below the "C" that become gold year after year. There's also a striped multicolor one but I don't know the significance.

You are from San Diego. I'm from LA. The Dodgers are from Brooklyn, the Lakers are from Minneapolis, the Rams are from Cleveland, the Clippers are from San Diego, the Chargers….

My only permanent allegiance is to Cal. I root for pro teams based on (in order):
1. Cal players
2. Other players I like
3. The city the team currently represents
4. Team name/uniform

AR showed no interest in his introduction tonight being considered a "quarterback from Cal."

Collinsworth is as objective doing color for this game as Ben Braun is doing color on a Cal hoop game.*

*…and I love Ben for that.
