Everyone needs to relax. Knowlton needs to extend him 5 years to give him time to reel in the big time players.

It would appear that people in the Bay Area still don't really care that much about the sports.
Wrong. They wont pay until wilcox and Knowlton are gone.
Or even go to games, I was teasing the idea of going to Boston College if we started 4-0 (which could still happen even with this mess) but I doubt that would suck me back in at this point

Pathetic. How does he still have a job? He loses games that matter to the program. Year after year, the same bs excuse, he needs one more year, he's had 5, no more chances. Ron, Fire Justin Wilcox tonight!

He's had five. You like losing and getting embarrassed? No more, they need to fire him tonight!!!

Do like they did Lane Kiffin. In a bus at the airport after the plane arrives back.
Bring back bottled beer and cigars at CMS. Should get us back in the Rose Bowl!

I don't understand the small minority (at least I am guessing that their a small minority) of Cal fans who want, hope, or expect Cal to be Ohio State.I have been watching this for over 50 years and it's never going to happen. The people in charge at Cal don't want it to happen.

In good years Cal can win up to 8 games in a season, maybe 9 with a 12 game schedule. A bad season can see 2 or 3 wins and the firing of the Head Coach. Cal is always going to be thin. After the first string the talent is going to drop off a cliff. Whoever gets hurt is going to be the key to Cal's success. See Gale Gilbert, and a host of others.

Right now Cal is 4-1. No one is getting fired with that kind of a start.

The thing that I don't like is how the NIL is set up right now. Players leave their school after the season but before the Bowl Game, so the team that plays in the Bowl isn't the team that played throughout the season. I don't think that is right for the team or the program.

All I want is for the players to be the limiting factor, not the coaching. I want a coaching staff that can get the most out of the team. If that ends up being an 8 win team, then so be it. But throughout the Wilcox era, what we've seen is underperformance despite the amount of talent available.

Cal doesn't have to be Ohio State, but it can be Michigan. Heck, even Stanford had a good run in the not-too-distant past. Why not Cal?

Exactly! Cal can have a top tier football program to go along with its top tier academic programs.

Duke clobbered Syracuse today. And showed off a strong offense and defense.

Hopefully Cal has its Mo-Jo back. Because Cal will need it next week to have a chance.
I hope that the long travel and late start will give Cal an edge. But nevertheless it will be a tough game for Cal.
We need as much fan support as possible

It's okay by me to be critical of any head coach. Yet during the season, the constant drumming of "Fire Wilcox!' when we know that he cannot be bought out now, seems pointless and actually counterproductive considering team parents and players read this. Support the program and stay critical - The Bears are 4-1 and that game in Boston was a pretty incredible example of team leadership.

The team's performance so far indicates that only a post-season evaluation is necessary at this point. The SDstate game was very troubling and if the collapse had continued into this last game, then maybe a mid-season change would have been required. At this point, it seems premature. So yes, I still support JW. I have to wonder what is happening behind the scenes and if anything has affected his concentration and morale. Let's see how all this plays out.

We are lucky we are getting turnovers at key times. We didnt get them at San Diego.

Both INTs were not lucky. They were the result of good defensive reads and we knew that BC was going to throw. Sometimes you make your luck.

Sebastabear met with and asked Wilcox if he did IF. Wilcox asked him why anyone would do that. So no, he doesn't do it.

LOL! A five-year old, six-page thread started by you, and I commented in it! So much for my shiddy memory. The first page of the thread hypothesizes but does not confirm that JW fasts. Didn't read the rest so I'm sticking with "inside joke" unless shown otherwise.

Do you think parents are incapable of using the Internet to look up the career winning percentage of the coach who is recruiting their kid?
