markeisha & knowlton r clueless re: the socioeconomic backgrounds of today's berkeley students at the #1 ranked public university in the world, they think these hard working students (many of them 1st generation college attendees with some family members working 2-3 jobs to pay the bills) can afford the $150 annual student pass for football & basketball tixs which is actually a middle class & above financial luxury

yeah no days off don't apply to markeisha & knowlton who still haven't offered FREE tixs to all students for the final 2 home games this week

there are thousands of tixs still available for both men's games this week including saturday's senior day & sunday's women's senior day currently got 11,000+ unsold tixs

why would anyone want hard working broke azz students at the #1 ranked public university in the world cheering & creating loud gameday energy for their fellow students on senior days?

but gotta give markeisha credit, she does not discriminate, she is absolutely incompetent in branding/selling tixs for both the men's & women's teams

markeisha is arguably the least innovative person on planet earth, the day she is relegated (and that day is looming in the future) to berkeley parking enforcement with monday thru friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm shifts (with a break for a timely lunch) will be a step forward for the athletic department

the #1 priority recruiting target for the cal basketball program is 6'5" 190 lbs top 50 player in the 202 class jovani ruff of long beach poly, the jackrabbits star player's lead recruiter is assistant coach/recruiting dynamo matt scherbenske with coach madsen also communicating regularly about the unique opportunity in berkeley

jovani can go just about anywhere but there's only one #1 ranked public university in the world that's close (but not too close like usc & ucla) to home that will put the ball in his hands from day 1 as the california golden bears enter the east coast centric acc next season

I was there tonight, and was shocked to see how empty Haas was. It was disheartening to look at the South end and see not just zero students, but zero people! The contrast to just a few weeks ago when the South end was jam packed for Stanford & USC was jarring.

Totally agree! Whenever a small crowd happens, it looks like there's less seats. However when a packed Haas is happening, he just lets out every seat available.

I assume this is a software "feature" (we might consider it a bug). The software probably only shows some seats available, and then when those are purchased, the software releases and makes more seats available for purchase. This is my best guess on why this happens. They probably don't want people all scattered throughout 11,000 seats, but rather would prefer fans to be closer to each other. Of course, when there's only 3,000 fans, people just move to wherever they want.

2024 california golden bears basketball roster:

yeah it's gonna be a rebuilt roster with a lotta new talent & that's just the nature of college athletics in today's fast paced environment with many of the restless seeking quick solutions to questions of the heart

point guard:
jeremiah wilkinson: the dynamic lefty from georgia will have the ball in his hands starting on day 1
vladimir pavlovic: rebuilding his shooting stroke this offseason is priority #1 for my favorite serbian

shooting guard:
rodney brown: alan crabbe jr gotta a beautiful stroke, playing d not so much

wing:
jalen celestine: reminds me of my friend theo robertson with his unselfish smoothness & ability to rain 3 point moneyballs thru the haas airspace

power forward:
grant newell: the time is now for everything (except a haircut), unlimited upside with greater defensive energy & intensity

bigs:
nd okafor: gotta lotta upside, getting healthy is priority #1
devin curtis: very bouncy with athleticism, gotta double down on building strength

jaylon tyson is the WILDCARD, he's the difference maker between a good & great 2024 campaign, he will be receiving nba scouting feedback after the season & will then make a decision re: potentially entering the nba draft or returning to berkeley to polish his game

so right now there's 8 committed schollys of the ncca max 13 allocation with 5 open schollys which becomes 4 if jaylon returns to work towards a berkeley degree which is important for those that wanna build generational wealth in today's fiercely competitive global economy that unremorsefully favors the well educated (dumb azz ballers with no degrees face a steep uphill climb in life working handing out towels at 48 hour fitness with a wife from texas tech & a family)
