When none of your players have faith in your new coach.
Great job, Jim.
Vanover though, that's crushing.
This is a complete from the bottom rebuild now.

We really would've been better off just keeping wyking (especially in the short term)
Harris-Dyson's transfer was expected before Fox was named. The one that is a surprise is Vanover.stu said:
In the long run a redshirt year will probably help Vanover develop his body. And it might help Harris-Dyson develop his game.
I'm wondering how Fox approached the team as this many defections following a coaching change seems unusually high. I wouldn't have expected this with DeCuire.

If they change their mind, do we have to take them back?
We have to wait till the end of the semester.oskidunker said:
Good . We should cancel the scholarships now. I hope Fox does that. Nobody will take Dyson. We should free up that scholarship asap.

How do you know players would have stayed if DeCuire was the coach?HoopDreams said:
Is it too late to say we are sorry, and ask Travis to be our coach?
This was so predictable
It may be they were indeed interested in their Cal educations but their aversion to playing for the new coaches prevailed. It would be ironic if some of them end up at UC Irvine.Bear19 said:
Clearly none of these players had an interest in their education at Cal. They also clearly have no interest in playing for the new coaches.
Vanover has a lot of potential; he mainly needs to put on weight and muscle. Not many 7'3" kids can shoot threes like he can. Losing him is really going to hurt. I think he could have become our best player in another year or two.R90 said:
With the way Connor came on toward the end of the season, I imagine he could go just about anywhere he wanted. That doesn't mean it would be the right decision for him. At another school he could still end up getting stuck on the bench.
