When I was growing up his sister, Rose, a band member, lived a stone's throw (pun intended) from St. Paschal's and Sequoyah Country Club (next door to a buddy on Sequoyah View Court). His bass player, Larry Graham (later of Graham Central Station), lived out by Lake Chabot Golf Course on Malcolm, off Golf Links Rd.
I always dug this tune. Not one of his big hits:

I remember sitting outside with a friend on a warm September evening in . . . 1975 and we were arguing over who was the better band, the Beach Boys or the Rolling Stones - I championed the Beach Boys. Arguing for the BBs at that time was not a popular stance and my friend thought I was nuts. Fifty years later, I still don't own any Stones records/CDs, but what I should have said back then was that the Stones were a better band, but the Beach Boys produced better music. Thanks! I have never been able to find that. I'm sending it around to the guys that were in the movie with me. We are in the last 5 minutes when all the FBI agents rescue Walter White's (Bryan Cranston's) future wife, Robin Dearden,from the Mob.
I'm the guy in the far left side of the top frame and I am in full running stride on the left in the bottom frame. I was 26. I think they paid us $50.
*Me and my buddies, all playing FBI agents, hit the movie at around the 1:26 mark and by the 1:27 mark, our Andy Warhol 15 minutes of fame is over. My scene is 3 seconds long running to the car with a pistol in my hand.
