No one is suggesting that American's founding documents should be considered biblical text. Not even Satan, who knows the bible well and uses it against believers.

Christian nationalist is a label created by the left to attack Christians. You don't hear the media talking about Christians much, only Christian nationalists. I suppose they tolerate Christians who remain silent or if they do express any political views, they prefer those people to keep them within their acceptable boundaries of a shifting Overton window. I wonder if these people are Christians to begin with, especially in this day and age.

From the scripture, what about Trump is good? What fruit of the Spirit does he demonstrate? Does he not represent the acts of the flesh? It is the MAGA crowd who is putting up golden statute of Trump as some Christian act of light, taking boasting and pride as strength. You worship a man as some Christian leader who actually states that he has never asked for forgiveness from God because he hasn't been bad. Maybe read an actual book in the Bible instead of looking for verses that don't mean what you think it means because you haven't even read the full chapter. It seems you continually take pride and subscribe to this notion that you're some kind of centrist or independent and therefore, above the chaotic political climate that we're all trying to navigate through. Nothing could be further from the truth. I understand you're disappointed that Chris Christie didn't make the cut, but Chris Christie is not a centrist, he's just a political hack. At the same time, this makes you somewhat mysterious since I don't know many Christians who are silent about the current regime and all that's been happening the last four years whether in public or in private conversation while being consistently antagonistic not so much towards Trump but against the people who voted for him.

Yes, in my personal life, I am very conservative. I am conservative fiscally and I live my life very conservatively. However, I don't need to impose my beliefs on others. What does the Bible say about who can change someone's heart? You? Government? Isn't it the Holy Spirit? What type of Christian is so ignorant of God's words?
Who can redeem the world? Politics? Your votes? Your man-made laws?
Are Christians to judge non-Christians? What does Romans say? What did Jesus say? You don't know? Maybe spend some time reading the Bible instead of calling yourself a Christian without knowing who Jesus is.
Why do you make God so small and your politics so big that your hope resides in your political positions and believe a Christian is someone who imposes their conservative and often hateful views on others as opposed to desiring to worship God and wanting His name to be praised?

The fact that you think you can call out sinners as if you are not a sinner or that God somehow ranks sins instead of all sin being offensive to His holiness means you have spent your life thinking you are a Christian without having actually read the Bible. By calling out homosexuality as if your hate or your lust is not just as great of a sin, you are saying you are somehow beyond the need for salvation and that you are not the type of sinner deserving of condemnation. If that is what you believe, what worth is Jesus to you? You might as well be like Trump and think that you don't need forgiveness or need His salvation. You might as well believe that Jesus receiving the Father's wrath for your sins was all for nothing.
I am probably more conservative than you in my life. However, I trust the scripture when I read about God's providence and that, while we may be in this world, we are not of this world. This is not our home. Either you believe and have faith in Jesus' Lordship or you don't. Either you believe in God's providence, even in this broken world, or you don't. And if you don't, calling yourself a Christian doesn't make you one just like a man calling himself a dog doesn't make him one.
What you worship is where your hope lies.
Let me ask you this. Do you believe that you can be saved by your actions? Can obeying laws save you? If you think so, read John, Romans, and Philippians. There is no one sin worse than others, even if there is only one sin that is unforgivable (rejection of gospel - meaning blasphemy of the Holy Spirit). So, why do you put your faith in politics? Who is your God? Is your God so weak that he needs some politician to accomplish His will? The creator needs your politics? Is this world His Kingdom? If so, what is the point of His return?
The political "Christians" of this day are like the Pharisees. In Jesus' time, they were the most outwardly religious group, constantly seeking status by showing how religious they are when their heart was filled with pride, hate, and envy. What did Jesus say about their religious actions when their hearts were dark? Weren't the most outwardly religious people of the time the ones who demanded Jesus be crucified?
Even the verse you quoted, what do you think that means? It's so odd to me that you quote that verse right after writing things just the opposite of the meaning of the verse. Jesus was talking about how people think they can earn their way to heaven based on worldly standards while they put their faith in their money, their government, their status. The only way to salvation is to die to yourself, die to this world instead of thinking you acting holy makes you one of the saved, and putting your entire faith in the completed work of Jesus and not on rules and values of your broken world and politics.
You seem to be big on calling things for what they are. There is nothing in the Bible that would indicate you are a Christian. You would know that if you ever read the Bible to determine what you are proclaiming to believe. And calling yourself a Christian when you are so unfamiliar with the Bible and Jesus doesn't making you one, just like a man choosing to call himself a biological female doesn't make him one.
For me, this will be the last of this discussion with you. I am on my way to Good Friday service, which means the world to me because I actually believe that Jesus is my only hope. Not Trump, not me saying I vote for something or putting hope on politics. I put faith that, even for a broken sinner who was His enemy, He loved me first and redeemed me by taking responsibility for all my sin and incurring the Father's wrath. And when He was resurrected three days later, I know that my sins were fully paid for by Him who was the ONLY one not deserving.
That is what Christians believe. Not acting the way Trump does or the way MTG does and thinking that Jesus will say well done my good and faithful servant, you have hated and glorified yourself really well in my name.
