For those not calling people uninformed morons and pretending DWAC isn't merging into Truth Social, DWAC is up 38% today.
Yes, Truth Social is going public through de-SPACing. DWAC was a shell corporation (SPAC) that was created to raise capital to purchase Truth Social. DWAC itself doesn't have any operations. Almost every single celebrity had their own SPAC at one point, including Shaq. An expensive way to acquire a company, and many companies going through de-SPACs, including even good ones like Proterra, went bankrupt soon thereafter after an initial spike. Most SPACs actually lose value after going public though de-SPACing while traditional IPOs go up in value.

SPACs provide a fast and more profit for private companies to go public, but it's not a better process for investors. Less transparency, small float creating volatility, and no underwriters supporting the market.

What multiple are people using to determine their enterprise value? What is their EBITDA and what is the peer multiple to the EBITDA? What is the growth rate, and what secular trends and untapped market is Truth Social addressing, and how does it have a competitive advantage to leverage that total addressable market?

What do you need to believe to invest in this company?

I am watching the puts.
I assume there will be a lot of money to be made with option trading based on the small public float something like this will have. There will be a lot of volatility, and a lot of arbitrage play before this eventually burns and crashes.

DJT, which was DWAC, hit $79.38 this morning. Can it sustain the inflated price long enough for Trump to cash out?

Dropped to $65 and now at $73.

I think this needs a little more context. Otherwise, it just seems like a weird post in a stock market thread.

I'm assuming you realize that this is a Saudi or Russian ruse to launder payoffs to tRump. It also could mean that they know that corrupting the vote in the handful of states that will secure a tRump a victory via the Electoral College is basically a sure bet and that tRump POTUS REDUX will make the tRump demented riffs on Truth Social solid gold since the Deplorables will lap that stuff like oxy.

This demon SPAC has already had multiple lawsuits. Before the merger, DWAC (the SPAC) was sued for securities fraud and settled for $18M last summer. Trump was recently sued by his idiot co-founders who were boneheaded enough to expect a square deal with him.

Anyone want to guess when the next lawsuit hits? Will it be securities fraud or something else?

Now that Truth Social is a public company it will have to share it's abysmal performance numbers which will give us all a chance to dunk on Trump.

From what we've seen so far, it's a tiny, barely used social media website which has lost more than half its users over the last 12 months. They've also warned investors that they may go bankrupt or fail because that's an inherent risk in Trump's businesses lololol.

Quote:

A number of companies that were associated with President Trump have filed for bankruptcy. There can be no assurances that TMTG will not also become bankrupt.

Entities associated with President Trump have filed for bankruptcy protection. The Trump Taj Mahal, which was built and owned by President Trump, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1991. The Trump Plaza, the Trump Castle, and the Plaza Hotel, all owned by President Trump at the time, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1992. THCR, which was founded by President Trump in 1995, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2004. Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc., the new name given to Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts after its 2004 bankruptcy, declared bankruptcy in 2009. While all of the foregoing were in different businesses than TMTG, there can be no guarantee that TMTG's performance will exceed the performance of those entities.

A number of companies that had license agreements with President Trump have failed. There can be no assurances that TMTG will not also fail.

Trump Shuttle, Inc., launched by President Trump in 1989, defaulted on its loans in 1990 and ceased to exist by 1992. Trump University, founded by President Trump in 2005, ceased operations in 2011 amid lawsuits and investigations regarding that company's business practices. Trump Vodka, a brand of vodka produced by Drinks Americas under license from The Trump Organization, was introduced in 2005 and discontinued in 2011. Trump Mortgage, LLC, a financial services company founded by President Trump in 2006, ceased operations in 2007. GoTrump.com, a travel site founded by President Trump in 2006, ceased operations in 2007. Trump Steaks, a brand of steak and other meats founded by President Trump in 2007, discontinued sales two months after its launch. While all these businesses were in different industries than TMTG, there can be no guarantee that TMTG's performance will exceed the performance of these entities.

This will give us plenty of entertainment before it eventually crashes and burns.

As I continue to say, we know how it ends just not when it ends.

I would not short. Always dangerous to short irrational investments. This is more like a meme stock, with too much potential squeeze from true believers buying or holding for irrational behavior. Pure speculative like crypto. If you did any analysis, this money losing enterprise in a down trending, small TAM industry should not be even over a billion. It will eventually go down but there will most likely be spikes until the house of cards fall down, but you may get squeezed before then. And as Oski mentioned, everyone with a brain realizes there is no logic to this valuation, and I suspect this is one of the most shorted stock, which will make this a very expensive cost to borrow shares to sell.

Trump is extremely fortunate that his worthless company is able to cash in on the fantastic stock market that Joe Biden's presidency has created.

Thanks to Biden, Trump is finally the billionaire he has always pretended to be. At least until it all comes crashing down, as all of Trump's schemes and scams eventually do.

Anyone who supports or buys Trump's bible has never read the scripture, never was a Christian and has no relationship with Jesus, and is one of those prosperity gospel or Christian Nationalist who takes God's name in vain and worships money / power before God.

Ridiculous that anyone who claims to have read the Bible and to place God above all things is OK with what Trump did in monetizing the bible, adding to the Bible with government documents strictly prohibited in the Bible, and treating country / government / national ruler as part of Christianity. Shocking.

If you don't understand why adding government documents as part of the bible goes against the Pauline epistles, then you may be using Christianity for political purposes.

Christian nationalism is not some concept just from MSNBC. It may be good for you to just step back instead of seeing everything from politics.

You may also consider Christianity Today and Billy Graham liberal, but here is a source other than MSNBC that defines what Christian Nationalism is and why by putting their political and nationalistic views before the scripture, they are the false teachers Jesus warned about.

Don't be like one of those whom Jesus warned about in Matthew 7:21-23.

21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' 23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'

And you think your faith in government or party over God's word and calling for discrimination based on national status are not conforming to the pattern of this world? You think Paul, when addressing the Roman church, was saying play politics? Or did he specifically write in Romans that Christians should refrain from judging non-Christians because, before the Holy Spirit changed our heart, we were unable to turn from our love of sin, and, as such, we cannot take any credit for our own faith? Did Paul write that we are saved by laws country adopts or the actions we demand of others or are we saved by the completed work of Jesus for the elect and the elects' faith in Jesus as savior and LORD? What is the renewing of your mind toward God? Monetizing the bible and putting a world government document in equal footing as the God's authority? Since you are quoting Romans, my favorite epistle, please tell me how Romans, which tells Christians that we don't belong to this world, that neither actions nor government or man made laws but only trust in the completed work of Jesus Christ brings us salvation, align with your nationalistic views that treat all these illegal immigrants, many of whom are Christians, as less than human? How does God's unending grace to us and our undeserved mercy from Him reflected in Trump's MAGA politics? How are you putting faith in the completed work of Jesus and how are you reflecting that He is the only authority as Lord in your life? Do you truly live as if you believe this life is just a drop in the ocean compared the eternal life Christians believe are ours through our faith or do you live your life and participate in politics as if this is your best life? Does it seem like, as Paul wrote about Christians, Trump views all his money, power, fame and respect from others as dirty rags compared to the glory of knowing Jesus?

And saying Satan uses the Bible against BELIEVERS who come to faith from the work of the Holy Spirit? Do you realize that one unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit - unrepentant rejection of the work and power of the Holy Spirit? Where is you Biblical basis for saying Satan uses God's own living word against believers? Maybe you should finish Romans and get to 8:35-39. For those who are true believers, nothing could separate us from the love of God.

Seriously, I pray that you take the time to read and mediate on Romans (the entire letter).

Christian nationalist is a label created by the left to attack Christians. You don't hear the media talking about Christians much, only Christian nationalists. I suppose they tolerate Christians who remain silent or if they do express any political views, they prefer those people to keep them within their acceptable boundaries of a shifting Overton window. I wonder if these people are Christians to begin with, especially in this day and age.

Are you really familiar with that verse? You know that is part of the famous Armor of God Paul tells believers to put on? What armor of God do MAGA put on since you are quoting that verse? I assume you actually read Ephesians and not just doing some google search?

Paul was writing for Christians to put on the armor of God since we are not just fighting this war against men but against Satan. In other words, because we, as flesh and blood are not just fighting other flesh and blood but rulers of the dark, need the armor of God, including TRUTH, GOSPEL OF PEACE, SHIELD OF FAITH. Where does Paul write about sword of hating immigrants, helmet of trusting in making Christianity a national religion as if God's domain and kingdom is in this broken world?

I will quote the entire verse about the armor of God since you seem to not be familiar with it, including the reference to rulers and authorities:

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people.

19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Thanks for buying the stock, the bibles, and the shoes.

Shocking.

What's a Christian Nationalist? Is this something you learned from watching MSNBC?

All the documents that trigger the heathens in one binding, the Bible, Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, and the Pledge of Allegiance all for $60! No one is claiming that the founding documents are the Word of God.
If you don't understand why adding government documents as part of the bible goes against the Pauline epistles, then you may be using Christianity for political purposes.

Christian nationalism is not some concept just from MSNBC. It may be good for you to just step back instead of seeing everything from politics.

You may also consider Christianity Today and Billy Graham liberal, but here is a source other than MSNBC that defines what Christian Nationalism is and why by putting their political and nationalistic views before the scripture, they are the false teachers Jesus warned about.

https://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2021/february-web-only/what-is-christian-nationalism.html

No one is suggesting that American's founding documents should be considered biblical text. Not even Satan, who knows the bible well and uses it against believers.

The people who pretend to be offended are Trump haters, both religious and non-religious types.

2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will ishis good, pleasing and perfect will.
Since you are quoting Romans, my favorite epistle, please tell me how Romans, which tells Christians that we don't belong to this world, that neither actions nor faith laws but only trust in the completed work of Jesus Christ brings us salvation, align with your nationalistic views that treat all these illegal immigrants, many of whom are Christians, as less than human? How does God's unending grace to us and our undeserved mercy from Him reflected in Trump's MAGA politics? How are you putting faith in the completed work of Jesus and how are you reflecting that He is the only authority as Lord in your life? Do you truly live as if you believe this life is just a drop in the ocean compared the eternal life Christians believe are ours through our faith or do you live your life and participate in politics as if this is your best life? Does it seem like, as Paul wrote about Christians, Trump views all his money, power, fame and respect from others as dirty rags compared to the glory of knowing Jesus?

Christian nationalist is a label created by the left to attack Christians. You don't hear the media talking about Christians much, only Christian nationalists. I suppose they tolerate Christians who remain silent or if they do express any political views, they prefer those people to keep them within their acceptable boundaries of a shifting Overton window. I wonder if these people are Christians to begin with, especially in this day and age.

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Since you may truly be searching for faith, I will share this with you that you probably already know but should compare against Trump and MAGA politicians and see if they truly have the fruit of the Holy Spirit or are just dragging the name of Jesus Christ for their political benefit:

13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

From the scripture, what about Trump is good? What fruit of the Spirit does he demonstrate? Does he not represent the acts of the flesh? It is the MAGA crowd who is putting up golden statute of Trump as some Christian act of light, taking boasting and pride as strength. You worship a man as some Christian leader who actually states that he has never asked for forgiveness from God because he hasn't been bad. Maybe read an actual book in the Bible instead of looking for verses that don't mean what you think it means because you haven't even read the full chapter. I think you know that the verse you wrote should convict you.

I wrote about the fruit of the spirit and you turn to politics as if the living word is dead to you.

During his last days in prison before his beheading, Paul wrote to Timothy about people who refuse to trust in the scripture and turn to teachers who say what they want to hear. 2 Timothy 4:3-4

1. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encouragewith great patience and careful instruction.

3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. 6 For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that dayand not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.

Thanks for buying the stock, the bibles, and the shoes.

20 Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,

And this is why I think people like you are only using Christianity as a cover for your political venom. Nothing in your heart that worships God. And non-Christian cannot differentiate Christian Nationalist like you who are really atheists like them and Christians.

And the fact that you quoted Joshua and completely missed the gospel about salvation by faith instead of law shows me that you never really read the Bible.

Are Christians to judge non-Christians? What does Romans say? What did Jesus say? You don't know? Maybe spend some time reading the Bible instead of calling yourself a Christian without knowing who Jesus is.

Why do you make God so small and your politics so big that your hope resides in your political positions and believe a Christian is someone who imposes their conservative and often hateful views on others as opposed to desiring to worship God and wanting His name to be praised?

Who is your God? Do you spend more time praying and reading God's words and allowing Him to change your heart or do you read your political right-wing posts? Who is your God?

The fact that you think you can call out sinners as if you are not a sinner or that God somehow ranks sins instead of all sin being offensive to His holiness means you have spent your life thinking you are a Christian without having actually read the Bible. By calling out homosexuality as if your hate or your lust is not just as great of a sin, you are saying you are somehow beyond the need for salvation and that you are not the type of sinner deserving of condemnation. If that is what you believe, what worth is Jesus to you? You might as well be like Trump and think that you don't need forgiveness or need His salvation. You might as well believe that Jesus receiving the Father's wrath for your sins was all for nothing.

I am probably more conservative than you in my life. However, I trust the scripture when I read about God's providence and that, while we may be in this world, we are not of this world. This is not our home. Either you believe and have faith in Jesus' Lordship or you don't. Either you believe in God's providence, even in this broken world, or you don't. And if you don't, calling yourself a Christian doesn't make you one just like a man calling himself a dog doesn't make him one.

What you worship is where your hope lies.

Let me ask you this. Do you believe that you can be saved by your actions? Can obeying laws save you? If you think so, read John, Romans, and Philippians. There is no one sin worse than others, even if there is only one sin that is unforgivable (rejection of gospel - meaning blasphemy of the Holy Spirit). So, why do you put your faith in politics? Who is your God? Is your God so weak that he needs some politician to accomplish His will? The creator needs your politics? Is this world His Kingdom? If so, what is the point of His return?

The political "Christians" of this day are like the Pharisees. In Jesus' time, they were the most outwardly religious group, constantly seeking status by showing how religious they are when their heart was filled with pride, hate, and envy. What did Jesus say about their religious actions when their hearts were dark? Weren't the most outwardly religious people of the time the ones who demanded Jesus be crucified?

Even the verse you quoted, what do you think that means? It's so odd to me that you quote that verse right after writing things just the opposite of the meaning of the verse. Jesus was talking about how people think they can earn their way to heaven based on worldly standards while they put their faith in their money, their government, their status. The only way to salvation is to die to yourself, die to this world instead of thinking you acting holy makes you one of the saved, and putting your entire faith in the completed work of Jesus and not on rules and values of your broken world and politics.

You seem to be big on calling things for what they are. There is nothing in the Bible that would indicate you are a Christian. You would know that if you ever read the Bible to determine what you are proclaiming to believe. And calling yourself a Christian when you are so unfamiliar with the Bible and Jesus doesn't making you one, just like a man choosing to call himself a biological female doesn't make him one.

For me, this will be the last of this discussion with you. I am on my way to Good Friday service, which means the world to me because I actually believe that Jesus is my only hope. Not Trump, not me saying I vote for something or putting hope on politics. I put faith that, even for a broken sinner who was His enemy, He loved me first and redeemed me by taking responsibility for all my sin and incurring the Father's wrath. And when He was resurrected three days later, I know that my sins were fully paid for by Him who was the ONLY one not deserving.

That is what Christians believe. Not acting the way Trump does or the way MTG does and thinking that Jesus will say well done my good and faithful servant, you have hated and glorified yourself really well in my name.

So much WINNING!

Thanks for buying the stock, the bibles, and the shoes.

Christian -> Christian Nationalist
White Conservative -> White Supremacist
Black Conservative -> Uncle Tom
Illegal Alien -> Undocumented Migrant
Abortion -> Pro Choice
Tyranny-> Democracy
Man-> Woman

20 Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,

It's quite amazing that Trump was in two places at the same time today. He was at the wake of a slain NYPD officer in New York and at the same time, he was dwelling in your heart and mind.

8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.

And this is why I think people like you are only using Christianity as a cover for your political venom. Nothing in your heart that worships God. And non-Christian cannot differentiate Christian Nationalist like you who are really atheists like them and Christians.

And the fact that you quoted Joshua and completely missed the gospel about salvation by faith instead of law shows me that you never really read the Bible.

cb93, I find it interesting that outside of your position on abortion, there's no discernable difference in the content of your posts between you and those on the far left. It seems you continually take pride and subscribe to this notion that you're some kind of centrist or independent and therefore, above the chaotic political climate that we're all trying to navigate through. Nothing could be further from the truth. I understand you're disappointed that Chris Christie didn't make the cut, but Chris Christie is not a centrist, he's just a political hack. At the same time, this makes you somewhat mysterious since I don't know many Christians who are silent about the current regime and all that's been happening the last four years whether in public or in private conversation while being consistently antagonistic not so much towards Trump but against the people who voted for him.

13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
In the spirit of Good Friday, I will call a truce and explain my position, which I think if you were to read entire books / letters and not just do google search on verses and allow God's words to change your heart, I think you will understand my position. Isn't this disingenuous of you?

Yes, in my personal life, I am very conservative. I am conservative fiscally and I live my life very conservatively. However, I don't need to impose my beliefs on others. What does the Bible say about who can change someone's heart? You? Government? Isn't it the Holy Spirit? What type of Christian is so ignorant of God's words? Who is your God? Do you spend more time praying and reading God's words and allowing Him to change your heart or do you read your political right-wing posts? Who is your God? Isn't there but only one God, the same God of the bible that Joe Biden put his right hand on at his inauguration?

Do you feel like Trump or someone else is imposing on your beliefs?

I think you missed the point. It's Christian Nationalists (yes, denying it does not make them go away) and prosperity gospel (surprisingly very popular among the far right and extremely poor) who warped the gospel because of their ignorance or greed. They drag Jesus's name when we are supposed to be light of the world and to care for the weak, the less fortunate and poor without condition because we have been given unconditional love by God first. It is vertical love from God that is spread horizontally by Christians because we have been given everything that matters already - our reconciliation to God and our assurance of eternity with Him.

What about forcing government to establish Christianity as a national religion (whether directly or indirectly) is consistent with the Gospel? If you know the Gospel, there were sects of the Jewish community (obviously not all, since the entire church was founded by members of the Jewish community) who expected the messiah to come as someone who will overturn the Roman government. As such, they went from singing Hosannah to demanding he be crucified when he didn't take over the government. Why didn't Jesus take over the government? Because He was weak or didn't have the power? NO. Christian Nationalists are like those who demanded Jesus be crucified because they make God so small that it becomes about power in this world and about world government. Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and Give to God what is God's

Why so judgmental? Haven't you heard others say the same thing to you?

I am sure they have. I am not judging your behavior as a non-believer. I am judging your false representation of Christianity. Nothing you do or say is consistent with the gospel. When there is a debate on Christianity, you refer to politics and misquote or take a quote of bible out of context (like some prosperity gospel preacher once did when he tried to justify why he spends so much of God's money donated by the church - he quoted a verse where the Roman soldiers put purple robe on Jesus - completely ignoring they did so during passion as they whipped him to mock Him - and saying even Jesus wore designer clothes - disgusting).

How would you know how much hope someone places in government? By your reasoning, isn't the non-believer more likely to do this? Why do you feel threatened by views that are counter to your own?

I am not threatened by your views. Most likely, we share common views on finances and personal views on political policies, although I don't demand that this world conform to my religious views, because this world will remain broken because of sin. Where I focus is on seeking justice for those who are underprivileged, whether working with the homeless, working with underprivileged kids, or fighting to protect the lives of those I believe have life and cannot protect themselves from death by those who pretend personal freedom includes ending someone else's life. I also believe in religious liberty for people to practice their faith, and hate that Democrats and liberal cities create such hostile environment for Christians and almost promote discrimination against Christians while being so afraid of insulting other religions T

Isn't there but only one God, the same God of the bible that Joe Biden put his right hand on at his inauguration?

There is only one true God, but there are those who proclaim to believe in God who actually worship politics, a charlatan, money etc. That's their God and not the one true God in three persons. So, who is your God? Does he promote things of this world or is He focus on His Holiness and your sanctification over your comfort and power in this world? If this world was his kingdom, the apostles would have lived comfortable lives. Instead, other than John who was exiled, they were all killed after difficult lives. But they are glorified in eternal life and benefitted from the grace of participating in His will in spreading the Church. Isn't that what the Bible shows? Did Paul ever try to change the government even as a Roman citizen? This world doesn't belong to Christians. The Church and not the government is God's body in this world until Jesus returns. Why do these Christian Nationalists put so much faith in changing the government, even at the risk of dragging Jesus's name through the mud?

Yes, we are all sinners, the Christian and the non-believer. Why do you bring up homosexuality? Is this what this is all about for you personally?

I bring up homosexuality, because fake "Christians" obsess over it as if their own lust, greed, anger, etc. are not equal sins. I bring that up because these Christians act as if they can earn their way to heaven by their works instead of by faith. If anyone had to be sinless to go to heaven, there is no hope for any of us. And that is why the Gospel is the good news. It is impossible for any one of us to earn it. Even one act of sin is offensive to God because it is an act of rebellion and putting ourselves as god. The only one who lived the perfect life we could not was Jesus, and that is why He could pay for the penalty of sin (God's wrath) of the believers that all of us deserved.

So, why focus on the sins of a non-believer? How are they worse than believers? How is someone who commits sexual sin worse than someone who commits sin of anger? It's not? Why not focus on Christians who get angry instead of picketing against someone who is not even saved committing sexual sin? The only reason a Chrisitan is spared is 100% because we put our faith in the completed work of Jesus who fully paid for all the believer's past, current and future sins. Nothing that we do earns us a step closer toward heaver Even our faith, as Paul writes in Romans, comes from Him so we cannot even boast about our faith. And only when acts of obedience (even if we will fail often until we die in this world) come from the changing of the heart do these acts mean anything. Not the acts themselves, but the heart that drives it. And those responses to faith are manifested in the "fruits of the Spirits". (love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control). How much are those are demonstrated by the far right (I already know it's not demonstrated by the far left either but they are not taking the Lord's name in vain). .When someone demonstrates acts of the flesh (idolatry; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness) and not the fruits of Spirit while proclaiming Christian Nationalism (as Trump does), you know they are not Christians because the Bible says so. Relying on the Bible is not judgment. That's not my judgment. All I am doing is reflecting the full context of the scripture back to you.

Agreed.

What part of that do you believe?

Maybe you believe in some form of Christian isolationism. But isn't this contrary to what God called us to do? You were called to be the light of the world and salt of the earth.

I don't believe in Christian isolationism,. I serve on missions, I work as leader of Boys and Girls Club, and I work with the homeless and at shelters for abused families to provide basic needs while sharing my faith. The Great Commission is not spreading hate through far right politics, mocking the poor and the needy, and every hateful thing the far right does while focusing on just sexual sin. The behavior by the far right like Gaetz and MTG and Jordan are not shining God's light. Tell me where in the Bible you could possibly get that. And quote the entire text. No, the way we treat the poor and the needy is how we demonstrate God's light. Don't take my word. Read the Bible and what Jesus says about his heart for the meek and the needy. I hate the liberal policies on government spending on everything because, while I agree with the need to protect the poor, it doesn't help to rob our future generation and take from the back of our children to satisfy our own guilt without any sacrifice from us. Doing good should involve actual sacrifice. When a group of us in our mem's group go to buy food, cook, and serve in shelters, we feel God's love for us. When we provide a safe space for inner city kids to get tutoring, work on STEM projects, play sports and be away from violence, we feel God's love for us. When we go to someplace in Mexico to rebuild a church and we share meals with the local Christians, sing praise, and pray together, we feel God's light and love. When I watch the rhetoric of politics, I feel the hatred of men and women. That's not God's light.

The mob called for Jesus to be crucified. They were influenced by the Jewish religious authorities who were threatened by Jesus because he exposed their hypocrisy. Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor overseeing the region, couldn't find anything that Jesus did wrong.

And you don't think Jesus would call out the hypocrisy of the prosperity gospel preachers many on the far right follow or the hypocrisy of people like Cruz, MTG, Jordan who give no comfort to those who are the most poor or needy while proclaiming they are religious?

Which verse?

The verse from Matthews on the narrow road and how that is not based on acting religious but on dying to the world - the verse you quote while talking about far right politics. Actually read the full context of Jesus's warning to us.

Maybe it's you who may have to pay some attention to the plank in your own eye?

See the thing is I am not judging your actions as a non-Christian. I am judging you taking God's name in vain and mispresenting the gospel. I am angered by you using false Christianity to spread hate. Unlike others, I have not attacked you for your behavior other than in the context of religion. However, anything that you add or detract from the Bible is false because us Christians believe that the scripture is sufficient as it lives in our hearts through the Holy Spirit. It does nothing for the faith and is belittling to the sufficiency of the Word to add the Constitution as appendix to the Bible and charge a ridiculous amount to the public. Might as well be a money changer in the temple. What did Jesus say that? What was His reaction in the Gospel?

Has God recently revealed sin in your life that you weren't aware of? Has anyone recently pointed out your blind spots?

Of course He does. Sanctification is a life-long project in me by Holy Spirit. Thank goodness it's not me who is changing my heart. I am forever completely unworthy on my own to ever approach God. It is only through Jesus that I am saved. I take no pride in my own actions. Even anything good that I do comes from God. Only the failures belong to me, but Jesus even uses that for my own spiritual benefit to reveal my need for Him

It seems your version of the Christian religion is somehow being influenced by your own politics?

Absolutely not. The only way I participate in politics is what I view as policies that will protect the weak and needy. And not just spending money we don't have and burdening future generations. And not just taxing others (while I believe we need higher taxes not to go on a spending spree but to bridge the deficit to protect our kids' futures)

God has entrusted me with meaningful wealth, and I view it as God's money. While it is tempting to see people flaunt their wealth knowing I could do so myself, I refrain because my treasure is not here. Instead, I constantly pray that I can serve His will in the way I deploy what He entrusted to me. That's my politics. I may have conservative views, but my contribution isn't to seek power or comfort through politics. I rarely get involved in politics, and I only contribute money when I see the other side spreading hate.

cb93, I find it interesting that outside of your position on abortion, there's no discernable difference in the content of your posts between you and those on the far left.

Today, President Biden declares this Easter, March 31, 'Transgender Day of Visibility'. The government will celebrate genital mutilation and pornography in school libraries on Christianity's holiest day. Do you support this with your silence? Or do you feel by speaking out against it, you are somehow behaving like, according to the left, a 'Christian nationalist'?

For someone who's very judgmental towards others, why so silent about Joe Biden's Catholicism?
