Not trying to dogpile but I ran some numbers on black voters because statistics are funny things. Yes, the results went from 91% - 6% to 92% - 8%, reducing the differential from 85pp to 84pp in Trump's favor.
But, black voter turnout increased from 16.4M voters to 18.9M voters. That means while Trump's black vote increased from 1.0M to 1.5M voters, the Democratic vote increased from 14.9M to 17.4M voters. Below is the margin of black voters by which the Democrat beat Trump in each election.
2016 - 13.9M black voters
2020 - 15.9M black voters
People hate Trump.

This wasn't that surprising to me. The primary followed the same pattern where caruso led initially, but Bass easily passed once they counted all the mail-in / drop-off ballots.
Given Caruso's stated desire to help the city, I eagerly await his construction of hundreds of homes to help address the homelessness crisis.

Maricopa County Election problems.
Early voting, largely Democrat: 0% had problems
Day of Voting, largely Republican: 60% had extended, and often numerous, problems.

Might be hard to believe now, but there was a time when Republicans used early and mail-in voting a lot more than Democrats. That's before Trump told everyone not to trust mail ballots during the pandemic, so now of course the conservatives are dead-set against it.

Kind of weird that the county of native son Barry Goldwater would have such voting problems, eh?
You've been so totally WRONG about everything that you've been posting here leading up to the midterm election, that anyone with a decent amount of shame would have set sail two weeks ago.
But all you do is cry and whine.
Post and promote more conspiracy theories.
Did you ever participate in youth sports growing up?
Every play high school football, basketball, or baseball?
Water polo, Swimming, Tennis, or Track & Field?
Did you cry and whine every time you got beat?
Asking for a friend.

If it is true that some 60% of Republican precincts had problems and Dem precincts did not, that's a problem.
That problem is exacerbated by the fact one of the candidates runs elections for the state
It is also a problem that Democrats argued against extending voting hours in the precincts with problems when their entire party line is the sanctity of every vote. This tends to demonstrate they are partisan hacks looking to manipulate the system to their advantage, not Puritans of the vote. (Note, Dems successfully excluded Green Party presidential candidates from being on the ballot in PA and WI in 2020 because the candidates didn't file papers in person….I guess those Covid exceptions to explicit statutory language only matter when they work against Rs).
This allows the "good" GOPers to ignore actual GOP wrongdoing to focus on "potential" dem wrongdoing. That's how the GOP fear machine works.dajo9 said:tequila4kapp said:I would think county voting sites are not run according to party affiliation (ie Republicans do not run Republican precincts).DiabloWags said:movielover said:Unit2Sucks said:

Yep. "If it is true" (it's not). Then 2 paragraphs about the horrors of Democrats based on the lie. Tequila and others need to take some ownership of the lies they spread and who it is in service to (Trump and his crowd).

If pundits had their way, 2022 would have been a disaster for Dems, but women and young voters showed up and blunted the Red Wave. Our movement is bigger than Roe, and our movement doesn't end here.

Kari Lake lost because “she ran a terrible campaign.” Data shows 33,000 Republicans in Maricopa County voted for Hobbs and thousands left it blank or wrote in a name rather than vote for Lake. They all voted GOP down ballot. Not cheating just bad campaign. https://t.co/v180pWm4Hf

Whoa. In some areas of Wisconsin, youth turnout not only nearly MATCHED the 2022 general election, but more than 80% of young people in those areas voted for Janet Protasiewicz. Don’t tell me young people don’t vote. We do. And we aren’t stopping any time soon.
