I don't like Musk, but government should be scrutinized. Programs and departments go on forever without reasons for being.

That said he is biased, a liar and drawn to penny ante stuff. When he and his boys camp out at the pentagon for a couple of weeks I'll pay more attention
I don't disagree that government programs should be scrutinized, but it shouldn't be done at the whim of one lone unelected bureaucrat like Elon Musk. While some programs have probably outlived their usefulness, others are still very useful and just shutting everything down is foolish and reckless.
Fortunately, that is not the case. We have Trump and Rubio to make these decisions.

The narrative that Musk is making final decisions - much less solely making decisions - is fake news. Particularly ironic coming from those who supported Biden who pretty clearly was not making many of his own decisions.

Who is calling the shots? I don't think Rubio is.

Anybody think the WEF is good? Please raise your hand if so.

If you don't know what it is then you need to learn about it because it is evil

Musk pretty clearly is making decisions on his own right now. Yes, theoretically Trump would have the authority to stop him, but I've seen no evidence of that happening yet.
"Pretty clearly" making decisions on his own? Based on what evidence? Put up or shut up - because this is just a Dem talking point.

In terms of the bolded claim, maybe you've "seen no evidence" because you haven't looked or have biased new sources. Because it is easy to find:

"None of this could be done without the full support of the President, you know. And with regard to the USAID stuff, I went over it with him in detail, and he agreed that we should shut it down," Musk said in an X Spaces discussion.

"And I actually checked with him a few times. I said, 'Are you sure?' He's like, 'Yes,'" Musk added. "So we're shutting it down."

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5122521-musk-trump-agreed-usaid-should-be-shut-down/

Reported by ABC, as well. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/republicans-block-musk-congressional-subpoena-doge-continues-access/story?id=118487749

And then there's Trump's statements, as reported by the BBC:

When asked if he was happy with Musk after the upending of the agency, he said yes - "for the most part".

"Sometimes we won't agree with it, and we'll not go where he wants to go. But I think he's doing a great job," he said on Monday.

"Elon can't do and won't do anything without our approval, and we'll give him the approval where appropriate. Where it's not appropriate we won't," the president said.

"He reports in."

Trump is calling the shots, as he should. Rubio is implementing Trump's policy.

It is funny you ignore all manner of mainstream left leaning news reports from the Hill, CNN, ABC, BBC, etc., that don't support your false narrative, and then latch on to a random tweet from a left leaning and largely unknown reporter, claiming she spoke to a random anonymous person who had something bad to say about Rubio. Your standards of evidence are really warped.

Color me shocked that a "seasoned State department" swamp dweller has something bad to say about Trump/Rubio - again anonymously. It is pure deep state petulance.

Of course no one involved is going to say that Musk is driving the agenda. We can just infer it from how things are being done.

But hey, if you all want to hang your hats on Elon Musk's example of governance, be my guest.

The term "lickspittle" comes to mind when I read this flood of MAGA posts on BI from the usual cast of clowns.

I suggest a BI poll: who will be the first MAGA poster to refer to Trump as "Dear Leader" or something similar?

I suspect movielover calls Trump "President Big Daddy" behind closed doors, so that's my shout.

I do. I'd also appreciate if he told us the largest recipient of USAID - some $21 billion - is Ukraine which is a lot of magazine subscriptions for the skin heads. Seems like a ripe area for stopping the "money laundering" since you are dealing with one of the most corrupt countries in the world

Even Fox News "buried the lead". Last two paragraphs:

"Social media erupted with claims that the government has been funding Politico, but others pointed out that Politico has an expensive subscription service that is critical for many government employees. Base subscriptions are typically between $12,000 and $15,000 for three users.

"While Politico did receive small amounts of cash for subscriptions from government agencies under prior administrations, it appears to have skyrocketed during the Biden administration, according to USAspening.gov. "

Mike Benz: ""USAID is one of the most disturbing organizations in the entire federal government," Benz began. "It may rank number one, in fact. USAID is under the cloak of being a humanitarian aid organization designed to advance U.S. foreign policy, it's assigned the dirtiest tasks that the State Department can't get caught doing and that used to be done directly by the CIA."

"Benz went on to say that USAID essentially operated in the way that the CIA used to engage in covert operations, but did not have to get the same approvals from the White House in order to carry out those operations."

Last night USAID sent Samantha Power out to defend their 'humanitarian' mission on Stephen Colbert. The PR spin.

But then why did she spend so much time in well-fed Europe?

https://rumble.com/v29a3te-usaid-in-hungary.html

Some allege that she, along with U.S. State Dept (USAID) and CIA, were essentially admitting to running a political influence operation in Hungary ... seeding the groundwork for another color revolution.
