You're the one that posted about how private citizens should have full privacy from the government and that public servants like me should have no privacy rights. Was that a ridiculous smokescreen? Why post that if that wasn't what you meant? Personally, I'm offended that you think I have fewer rights than you and movielover do. As for fraud, there was nothing about fraud in that cutesy meme you posted. Sure, I'm against fraud. Prove that I and a couple of million other federal employees have committed fraud before you throw us under the bus.

I've spent the last 25 years doing my level best to keep people safe from harm for far less money than I could have made elsewhere. The last few weeks have been shocking in how little respect many of you all have for myself and the vast majority of other federal workers. I'm doing some soul searching my life choices these days though I still feel like I made the right choice back then. If you get your way, good luck getting AI to do what I do.

If a Congressman really "WAS" caught siphoning money to an offshore tax haven from a non-profit that would be worthy of outrage. And that is DEFINATELY what they are implying (and want you to think and click and repost and engage with).

Instead (the likely "real" story) we have an ultra 1% er (yes, that is a problem especially with it being intergenerational wealth like 3 or 4 generations removed) using a tax haven (another problem) to put his family foundation (not sure at all why - but I would guess that it is because the Caymens allow directed family charities to be more directed than US rules).

So that isn't to say that isn't a problem. But it definately ISN"T the problem you are concerned bout (or if it is then I got my Bernie Bro T shirt to send you)

I think the perceived problem is that a rich (and candidly not particularly bright or accomplished) member of congress demagogues republicans as greedy, controlled by the wealthy, not paying their fair share, etc., and then engages in a tax avoidance scheme. The offshoring of funds is 100% for tax avoidance by rich (typically VERY rich) investors. I'm guessing you don't have offshore investments. I don't.

It doesn't really matter that his family's "non-profit" foundation is the beneficiary. He's still a hypocrite for participating in a tax avoidance investment. And beyond that, many family foundations/non-profits pay family members salaries, etc. I'd love to know if that's the case here.

I do find it pretty ridiculous that people who supposedly voted for the "populist" president are rooting so hard for thousands of people to lose their jobs, based on the recommendations of the richest tech billionaire.
